Hypocrisy: Obama Said What Trump Is Saying About Border

As the great Democrat debate continues, the message of all two dozen of them regarding our southern border drips with hypocrisy.

What President Trump is saying---and trying to do today, is precisely what candidate Barack Obama was saying in 2008. In fact, that message helped elect him.

In the echo of this week's two night NBC extravaganza of far Left thinking----the "debate"---consider this...

Are the leaders of the Left misinformed, un-American, or simply lying about our national crises at the southern border?

Be informed.

In a tweet, actor Kevin Sorbo, known for his roles in the hit TV shows, "Hercules: The Legendary Journey's" and "Andromeda" and more recently for his faith-based films "Let There Be Light", God's Not Dead", and "Christmas Dreams", remarked on the Left's hypocrisy, pointing out that former President Barack Obama was "saying the same thing" as President Donald Trump on immigration.

He tweeted: "Wow.....so true. But the Left will never listen. Obama is saying the same thing Trump is saying. Incredible how Trump gets attacked for this. Not surprising, though."

Michael Morris noted that Sorbo was responding to a tweet put out by actress and former talk show host Stacy Dash.

Actress Stacy Dash is also a Christian and conservative.

She posted on Twitter ( link 3 ) a segment of a Democratic Party primary presidential debate where the candidates were talking about the issue of illegal immigration on the southern border of the United States.

Stacy notes that "This is the same reason they want to impeach President Trump in 2019."

Here's the video.

Here's the text of Obama's comments:

“This administration, the Bush administration, has done nothing to control the problem that we have,” stated former President Barack Obama in the video. “We’ve had five million undocumented workers come over the borders since George Bush took office. It has become an extraordinary problem, and the reason the American people are concerned is because they are seeing their own economic positions slip away. And often times, employers are exploiting these undocumented workers; they’re not paying the minimum wage; they’re not observing worker safety laws.
“So, what we have to do is create a comprehensive solution to the problem,” continued Obama. “Now, I have already stated that as president I will make sure that we finally have the kind of border security that we need. That’s step number one. Step number two is to take on employers— Right now, they, an employer has more of a chance of getting hit by lightning than being prosecuted for hiring an undocumented worker. That has to change. They have to be held accountable. And when we do those things, when we do those things, I believe that we can take the undocumented workers who are here, get them out of the shadows, make sure that they are subject to a stiff penalty, make sure that they are learning English, make sure that they go to the back of the line so that they’re not getting an advantage over people who came here legally.
“And when we do that I think that we can, instead of shedding all this heat, start shedding some light on the problem, and we can once again be a nation of laws and a nation of immigrants. That’s what I intend to do as president of the United States.”

Hypocrisy.

Clearly, the 24 folks standing in front of NBC's cameras this week never really agreed with their hero President Obama on immigration, or have completely changed their mind and evolved. In either case, they are hypocritical and out of touch with the American people they long to "serve."

Gallup surveys have found that Americans cite "government" as their greatest concern, and "illegal immigration" as their # 2 concern. "Climate Change" was # 7 on a list of 14---gun control was last.

Harvard-Harris polls have found that 80% of Americans want our southern border controlled, 70% want chain-migration ended and 68% want to end the visa lottery program and ask people to come here on merit.

Rather than the Great Debate promised by NBC, we're seeing a great disconnect between citizens and those who claim they want to "serve" us.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
