The Tragedy Of Transgenderism---Blurred Lines Medically And Spiritually

When the man arrived at the hospital with severe abdominal pains, a nurse didn't consider it an emergency, noting that he was obese and had stopped taking blood pressure medicines.

In truth, "he" was a transgender "man" (woman) in labor that was about to end in a still birth.

The New England Journal of Medicine says this case points to "larger issues about assigning labels or making assumptions" regarding gender.

While some in science are trying to put on the brakes, Left-wing Judaism and Christianity are accelerating the destructive myth of transgenderism---in the name of love.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant.

Blurred lines medically.

In reporting on the incident, Associated Press titled their article: "Blurred Lines: A Pregnant Man's Tragedy Tests Gender Notions."

The story details the various and serious medical consequences that are occurring as a result of forcing transgenderism on the healthcare system.

AP quotes Dr. Daphna Stroumsa of the University of Michigan:
"The point is not what happened to this particular individual but this is an example of what happens to transgender people interacting with the health care systems."

Transgender activists---and unfortunately a number of doctors--- are, of course, demanding more sensitivity, more training, and more acceptance of gender diversity on the part of medical workers.

This is one incident, but it is happening more and more across our own country and elsewhere, as transgenderism becomes yet another medical and biological so-called "fact."

Who can say in medicine where the abandonment of objective sex classifications might end?

The homosexual movement in general, in my opinion, is designed not to just redefine human sexuality and family, but to drive doctors who disagree with their narrative out of the medical field.

In Canada recently, several doctors lost a large medical conscience ruling, because they would not conform to the accepted culture of death (abortion, euthanasia) and transgenderism.

While a number of physicians either advocate for transgenderism, or simply remain quiet on the issue to protect their career, there is a growing number of physicians who are speaking out warning of future potential medical tragedies, and of the moral implications of trying to bend human sexuality to affirm a chosen behavior.

Blurred lines theologically.

There are a number of current examples of how the so-called religious Left is misusing Scripture to affirm same-sex relations and gender confusion.

Whole books are written on the subject by "Christian" leaders.

The Daily Beast, a far-Left, widely read publication published this article: "What Does The Bible Teach About Transgender People?"

The author references a recent Kansas Republican Party "anti-transgender resolution" that had just passed with the help of a conservative family organization in the state.

The resolution said, in part,
"God's design was the creation of two distinct and complimentary sexes, male and female, nevertheless many have sought to normalize transgenderism and define gender according to one's self-perception apart from biological anatomy."

After listing some of the ways in which society has done so, the Republican lawmakers said this: "These cultural currents run counter to God's created order and violate the dignity of every human being."

The Daily Beast writer, Jay Michaelson, who identifies himself as a "rabbi," says the resolution is more a theological document than a legal one.

He then launches into a deep and lengthy apologetic about transgenderism and how the Bible affirms it. Old and New Testament. And how the Republican conservatives are wrong.

The rabbi's theological case is similar to that of the "Christian Left"---Rob Bell, Jim Wallis, etc. who advocate for LGBTQ+ rights---in the name of the Lord.

To the biblically uninformed, the rabbi's case could be compelling. He cleverly twists Scripture to support his personal beliefs. The religious Left always does this.

This is why we consistently seek to inform and daily encourage our readers and our radio listeners to be discerning and vigilant.

These are the rabbi's two main "theological" points:

First, he agrees that the Genesis story does say that God creates human beings of male and female sex. But the creation story, he claims, says nothing about gender. He says, "Notice how the end of the resolution talks about 'God's design for gender as determined by biological sex'."

"Where did that come from," he asks. "What chapter and verse?"

Then he says---and this is a key to their argument:
"Remember, sex is not the same as gender. Definitionally, sex is about chromosomes; gender is about about cultural practices. Sex is what is between our legs; gender is what is between our ears."

Following that statement, he gives a list of Scriptures that define the roles of male and female, and then presents a list of biblical men and women who did not conform, but "deviated from their male or female societal role.

Examples:

Jacob and Esau.
"The Patriarch Jacob, for example, is clearly gendered female in comparison with his twin brother Esau. Esau is hairy. Jacob is smooth. Esau is a hunter, Jacob stays in the tent. Esau is favored by his father, Jacob is favored by his mother. And yet Jacob is chosen the one who becomes Israel, who fathers a nation."

The rabbi's conclusion is stunning. He says,
"Of course Jacob didn't go on hormone therapy, but the way the Bible constructs his gender identity makes it very clear that, at least until his transformative night time wrestling match, he is gender non-conforming."

Further examples include David and Jonathan, and the Apostle Paul's singleness.

Secondly, the rabbi says:
"The resolution argues that to normalize transgenderism would violate the dignity of every human being. In fact, the opposite is true. Societally, we recognize and affirm the dignity of every human being when we respect their profound sense of self understanding---echoed by science, culture and history."

The problem is that science is skeptical and history is not affirmative of transsexuality being a norm. While the culture may be bending to the lie, the Bible clearly does not affirm same-sex relations or gender confusion. It clearly lays out male and female as God's plan for the human race. And condemns alternative behaviors.

Unblurring the lines.

Pastor David Jeremiah told the press this week that "Many churches today have forgotten their purpose, becoming entertainment-driven social organizations eager to blend in with secular culture instead of focusing on biblical discipleship."

He said:
"The church is coming under attack; it's forgotten what the church is supposed to be. We're not an entertainment service, we're not here to see how close we can get to what the world does. But there's so much of the world in the church and vice versa that we can't tell a difference. We have to hold to the Truth. We have to get nourished. If its not happening, you're a social organization and not a church."

He encouraged pastors not to "worship at the attendance altar."

"If you do," he says, "you will never preach anything that's controversial and you'll always be trying to figure out how to get more people to come."

He said, "Ironically churches that focus on entertainment and fail to present the whole gospel are actually driving Millennials and Generation Z away."

He right. Barna studies have found that 67% of Millennials prefer a "classic" church over a "trendy" one.

Youth are demanding Truth. They're not interested in shallow expressions of religion.

It's time for the church to rise and be "The Church."

Preach the whole gospel. Tell the people the Truth. Release His power. See what happens.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful. Be Bold.
