The coronavirus has drastically changed our world. But the uniqueness of this situation is that we are all facing the same thing together, while being apart.
Heritage Foundation's "The Daily Signal," asked a number of pastors, priests, and Christian leaders to share their insight on how we can all use this time of uncertainty well and how we can keep hope alive.
I believe God has put some things on my heart---personally-- that I want to share with you as well, regarding what He might be saying to the Christian Church today.
Be Inspired.
The Daily Signal says,
"We hope that you are encouraged as you read the words of these faith leaders. In these trying times, we must turn to the greatest document in the history of the world to promise freedom and opportunity to its citizens for guidance."
I suggest you click the link to "The Signal" and read the various messages of hope.
Normally we report and talk about the issues in the news each day in this column---doing so from a biblical perspective.
Today, however, I feel strongly that I should share some things that I feel the Lord has laid on my heart personally regarding these times.
I will be sharing my thoughts on the radio today. Many of you listen either to a radio station in your area that carries our daily program, or use the apps for live streaming from one of the radio stations listed. This is a link to those stations and the times of airing.
This is a brief outline of some of what I will be sharing today on the radio.
- Isaiah 6:1-4: What was significant about the year in which King Uzziah died?
- Uzziah's personal profile.
- His successes--and his failures.
- How this historic incident relates to today and the coronavirus.
- Greatness without godliness leads to a sorrowful and tragic end.
- There is hope. And it's real.
- And there is a calling that must be heeded.
