Jack Denton, who has served as president of the student senate at Florida State University, questioned some of the policies of BLM. He has been quickly removed from his elected office.
Cornell University Professor William Jacobson questioned the motives of some in BLM suggesting that the organization is "Marxist" in nature, and wants to "tear down our society." There's now a massive movement to boycott his classes.
May I ask? What don't they want people to know?
Be informed, not misled.
If you question the organization Black Lives Matter, you will be punished.
Jack Denton is set to graduate from Florida State University in 2021. He's an outstanding student and has served on the university senate for several years, and presently as president of the student senate---until now.
Jack is also a conservative Catholic, and because of his beliefs, he was asking a few questions about the organization---not questioning racial equality.
He says,
"As a devout Catholic and a college student, I felt that it was my responsibility to point out this discrepancy, to make sure that my fellow Catholics knew what they were partaking in."
The "discrepancy" has to do with BLM's strong support and alliance with their "queer-affirming network," as they call it.
Denton explained that the organization's advocacy of these kinds of behaviors is "explicitly anti-Catholic things." He also spoke to the extreme position of abortion advocacy and the ACLU's---a closely aligned ally of BLM.
Although Denton has served on the senate for 3 years, this past year as president, when the student senate became aware that he disagreed with some of BLM's views, the student senate voted to remove him on June 5th "for simply stating Catholic doctrines in a private group chat, that conflicted with BLM."
Recently Cornell University Professor William Jacobson also questioned the organization BLM.
The Cornell Black Law Students Association sent a letter to the law school community calling on students not to take any courses taught by Professor Jacobson because he "engaged in anti-black rhetoric" by pointing out that the BLM organization is "Marxist" in nature.
Jacobson subsequently responded noting that their claims were "false and misleading."
The boycott call came after he offered to debate them on the issue.
Who are the hundreds of thousands marching, rioting, and destroying the cities in America?
Pew Research Center published a report covering the past 30 days of rioting and marching in America. They found only 1 in 6 protesters are black. About 17% are black, while 45% are white. 22% are Hispanic and 8% are Asian.
Pew says the protesters are overwhelmingly Democrats. Less than 17% are Republicans.
And they found that "Protests in Seattle, Portland, Washington DC and New York City have been dominated by Antifa members and Black Lives Matter activists.
Black Lives Matter, but what about all the other stuff?
Before being ousted as senate president at FSU, Jack Denton stressed that his issues are with the organization, not the value of black lives. Most Christians would agree with him. I certainly do. Jesus Christ died for all lives, because they matter to our Creator---including those lives in their mother's womb.
He said,
"Let me make it unequivocally clear that 'Black Lives Matter', the statement, the sentiment, there's nothing wrong with that."
But that was not enough.
Black Lives Matter---the organization---will not debate their beliefs and/or actions, and will not be questioned.
This is a profile of the organization:
- #Black Lives Matter Foundation was created to radically shift the culture. They have released a shocking "manifesto" of their beliefs and policy positions. The manifesto clearly shows their positions are deeply political and deeply disturbing. To be properly informed, please take a moment and read through their agenda---in their words.
They are hostile to our American culture and to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm sure many who are involved in the marches are misinformed, and perhaps are participating with pure intentions, but they're being grossly misled.
- The co-founder of the Black Lives Matter movement, Patrisse Cullors, was a protege of a communist-supporting domestic terrorist, Eric Mann. She spent years training in political organizing, absorbing the radical Marxist-Leninist ideology which shaped her worldview.
Eric Mann, who mentored Cullors for over a decade in community organizing, was a member of the radical left militant groups, "Students for a Democratic Society," and the "Weather Underground," founded by Bill Ayers, and well known for bombing government buildings in the 1960s and 70s. Barack Obama launched his political career with a fund raiser in the home of his friend Bill Ayers.
- A video from 2015 shows co-founder Cullors revealing that she and her fellow BLM founders are "trained Marxists." In the video, she says: "The first thing, I think, is that we actually do have an ideological frame. Myself and Alicia [the other co-founder] in particular are trained organizers. We were trained by Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories. I think that what we really tried to do is build a movement that could be utilized by many, many black folk."
She also explains how difficult it was for her, a "queer" black woman growing up in a single parent home---thus explaining the deep role the LGBTQ+ plays in the organization of Black Lives Matter.
- Back in 1969, the Harvard Crimson was reporting that a violent group of "Weathermen" invaded the Center for International Studies on campus, throwing rocks, breaking glass, spray painting messages on the walls, and breaking the telephone so no one could call the police. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
Eric Mann, the BLM co-founders mentor, was leading the riot.
- Wednesday of this week, New York Black Lives Matter president Hawk Newsome warned that if the United States "doesn't give us what we want, then we will burn down the system and replace it."
Fox News Martha MacCallum asked Newsome about the fact that he speaks often about using violence and wanting to burn down the country.
He responded,
"I said if this country doesn't give us what we want, then we will burn down the system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking figuratively, I could be speaking literally. It's a matter of interpretation. Let's be very real and observe the history of the 1960s."
While Barack Obama, a self-described "community organizer" who taught the principles of Saul Alinsky at Harvard and close friend to Weathermen founder Bill Ayers, never, to my knowledge, publicly called for violence, but he often said his presidency was about "fundamentally remaking America."
Two weeks ago Joe Biden said, "My presidency will be a 'transition' presidency." Transition to what?
America stands at the crossroads. Freedom hangs in the balance. What can the people do?
On June 21, 1776, Founding Father John Adams said,
"Statesmen, my dear Sir, may plan and speculate for liberty, but it is Religion and Morality alone, which can establish the Principles upon which Freedom can securely stand...they may change their rulers and the forms of Government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty.
It's time to turn back to God. And embrace the eternal values and principles--- and ditch our so-called secular progressive ways.
