Biden Names Transgender to Review Defense Department

Shawn Skelly, a man living as a woman, has been placed on Joe Biden's transition team to review our Department of Defense.

LGBTQ advocates are now pressing Biden to reverse a number of Trump's policies and advance their ambitious agenda.

Supreme Court Justice Alito expressed concern last week regarding the erosion of our religious liberty, saying: "In certain quarters, religious liberty is becoming a disfavored right---not a cherished freedom."

He noted that conservative, biblical beliefs are being dismissed as "an excuse for bigotry and cannot be tolerated."

Walt Disney once said his goal was to build the "happiest place on earth."

Should Biden become president---God forbid, his apparent goal is to transform America into the "gayest" place on earth.

Be informed, not misled.

Let me be clear, regardless of what the press is reporting, Biden is not "president-elect," nor has any state yet certified its vote count. Joe Biden and the far-left press are way over their skis at the moment.

In fact, there is a growing mountain of evidence that "Dominion," the software company that provided software for vote counting in 2000 jurisdictions and in 30 states, is deeply flawed and was created with the capacity for the vote count to be manipulated. I'll be talking more about that on the radio this morning.

Barack Obama is already pulling Biden's strings insisting, this weekend, that Susan Rice be named  Secretary of  State.

But the following is a look at what is to come should Biden and the far-Left end up in office.

Why Skelly?

Skelly has a history with the Department of Defense---having served in the Navy for 20 years as a naval flight officer---before he/she became a transgender.

He/she also served in the Obama administration.

But experience was not why Biden has picked Skelly for his team.

The Washington Blade, a homosexual advocacy publication, is euphoric about Skelly's appointment.

NBC reported on Skelly, but has also reported on the more expansive policies that LGBTQ advocates are pressing Biden to put in place should he become president.

In short, the ambitious agenda includes pledges to enact the Equality Act, reinstate Obama-era guidelines preventing anti-LGBTQ discrimination in areas like federal contracts, fight against broad carve-outs in anti-discrimination law on the basis of religious beliefs.

There is also pressure for Biden to end the transgender military ban and eliminate LGBTQ homelessness.

About so-called "religious discrimination" against homosexuals.

During a speech to the Federalist Society last week, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito said: "In certain quarters, religious liberty is fast becoming a disfavored right."

He noted that religious liberty is now being dismissed by the left as an "excuse for bigotry."

He spoke about the government shutdown of houses of worship in the name of COVID 19 as being "blatantly discriminating against houses of worship," connecting that abuse to the assault on pro-life, Christian businesses by state government---mentioning the Storman's family in Olympia who has refused to sell contraceptives because of their deeply held pro-life biblical beliefs.

Because of those beliefs, the state of Washington has dragged them through court after court trying to force them to violate their deeply held religious beliefs.

Alito also mentioned The Little Sisters of the Poor and the cake maker, Jack Phillips, and his Masterpiece Cake Shop in Colorado, who has also been dragged through courts again and again.

Then he added this:

"If what I have said so far does not convince you that religious liberty is in danger of becoming a second-class right, consider a case that came shortly after the Nevada case." [A case that discriminated against churches].

He described a case where a judge suspended the FDA's requirement that women who wish to obtain an abortion pill must pick up the pill at a clinic. Alito said the rationale that enforcing the rule would interfere with abortion rights because some women might not obtain a pill due to fear of contracting coronavirus if they leave their homes. He noted that at the time of decision, Maryland's governor had opened many places of business, and "apparently concluded that Marylanders could safely engage in all sorts of activities outside the home."

In this case, he said, "the right in question was the abortion right, not the right to religious liberty, and the abortion right prevailed."

The point of the spear aimed at religious liberty.

The LGBTQ agenda is the tip of the spear aimed at the heart of religious liberty. The quest that brought the Pilgrims to this continent in the first place.

Biden put out a press release Thursday saying that 40% of his transition team will represent people of color and people who identify as LGBTQ+.

Yet according to GALLUP, only 4.5% of the US population identify as LGBTQ, and 0.3% of people in the US identify as transgender, or a man or woman living a lifestyle opposite of their biological sex.

To suggest that our liberty---particularly religious freedom--- is under attack is an understatement.

These are "perilous times."

The Psalmist wrote in Ps. 29:11,

"The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless his people with peace."

And Jesus said:

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid" (John 14:27).

Be Informed. Be Vigilant Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be not afraid.
