The Progressive Purge Begins

Last week the Communist China official newspaper announced that "President-Elect Joe Biden represents a New Window of Hope."

The president-elect also represents a "window of hope" for the far-left radical progressive movement in America.

With the far-left progressive Democrat Party taking control of the Senate, the House, and the presidency, the purge of all things conservative has begun---including biblical beliefs.

And social media is the front line of battle.

Be informed, not misled.

A "window of hope."

Last week Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said, "A new window of hope is opening" with the incoming administration.

He said although the US and China "have run into unprecedented difficulties" in the past few years due to the "misconceptions" by US leadership that China is America's greatest threat, there is now "hope" that China and the US will co-exist in peace and bipartisanship in world affairs.

With the Biden family's financial arrangement with China, it's easy to see the basis for a President Biden to represent a "window of hope" for China. And vice-versa.

The far-left radical Democrat Party also sees a "window of hope" to advance their radical leftist agenda.

Obviously Biden will be submissive to the far-left in his party.

The "window of hope" for progressives always involves "purging" ideas that conflict with their own---and  the people who hold those ideas.

Mike Huckabee noted that we should not be surprised when leftists gain power, their first impulse is to launch a purge of their perceived enemies and to criminalize any criticism of them.

History bears this out. Millions have been "purged" throughout history for their deeply held beliefs.

The purge has begun politically and socially. I never thought I'd see the day in America.

The political purge.

The "outrage' of the left over the riot at our Capitol is, in my mind, "opportunity" driven.

I personally denounce all words or actions that lead to the incitement of riot or any other illegal actions. Most ordinary people do. But not the Left.

Washington State's own Sen Patty Murray has joined the chorus of leftist voices demanding Sen. Ted Cruz and Sen. Josh Hawley resign from the Senate for their dissent in accepting of the Electoral Votes because of  massive amounts of identified fraud in the last election.

Alexandria Ocasico-Cortez is demanding the expulsion from Congress of all Republicans who exercised their constitutional right to challenge the Electoral Votes until the irregularities are cleared up.

Her tweet on Saturday left no question as to  just how serious these people are.

She tweeted: "Since it appears GOP leaders need a reminder. There is no 'healing' from this without accountability. And there is no 'unity' with white supremacists.  You know the President's state has devolved dangerously. If you're too weak to do anything about it, you're too weak to serve."

Translated: "Submit or else."

Leftist Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, says she will begin a second impeachment against President Trump this morning, has inquired with the military what steps are needed to remove Trump's access to the nuclear code---because he "might purposefully start a nuclear war"--- and how she can invoke the 25th Amendment and remove him from office before his term expires on Jan. 20.

This from the woman who claims she prays for President Trump and his family every day.

She's vicious.

The same public servants who sat through this past year of burning and looting and occupying of American cities---often celebrating and excusing the illegal behavior by reminding us all of BLM, Antifa and others "First Amendment Rights", are now trying to purge those who hold different political beliefs then theirs.

Where was the outrage in 2018 when Ocasio-Cortez joined about 200 "youth activists" who stormed Nancy Pelosi's office to demand action on climate change and refused to leave, an illegal incursion into the sacred temple of democracy that resulted in 51 of them being arrested by the Capitol police?

Will she be offering her resignation this week?

This is an exercise of feigned outrage to exploit an opportunity.

The social purge.

In the battle for your mind, social media is the front line of that battle.

You have likely heard that Twitter has banned President Trump from its platform for life.

Facebook and Instagram have suspended his accounts as well. Mark Zuckerberg is also considering a permanent ban.

Others closely associated with President Trump are also being removed from social media.

In the last few days thousands of people have begun to cancel their accounts with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

Many are moving to a new social media site called "Parler" which is sympathetic to conservatives.

Recently Parler has attracted thousands of conservatives and even classical liberals who are sick of the hypocrisy and new policies of Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

Big tech has now turned their purge toward Parler, which saw approximately 182,000 first time downloads in the United States on JAN. 8, which was up 355% on January 7. The app saw about 268,000 installs in three days.

Late Saturday evening big tech Amazon, Google, and Apple have removed Parler's app from public access.

John Matze, the founder and CEO of Parler, says he believes they acted in collusion and is planning to sue the giants.

He said, "We are the world's last hope for free speech and free information."

I don't know that they are the "last best hope," but they are certainly a preferred social media site at the moment. And they are now under attack themselves.

On Friday, the Mozilla Foundation, the non-profit organization behind the Firefox web browser, shared a list of additional actions intended to alter the "dangerous dynamics" of the internet, claiming that "temporary silencing or permanent removal of bad actors from social media platforms" is not enough.

Mozilla Chairwoman Mitchell Baker says the president's "reprehensible" actions call for more "solutions."

"More solutions" of course, creates more censorship.

The takeaway

We are living in perilous times. No question about it.

As conservatives---and particularly biblical Christians, we need to be discerning in these times because they are, indeed perilous. And deceptive.

How should we respond to the chaos in our culture?

Jeremiah 33:3 says; "Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.

  1. Pray--often.
  2. If you pray God will answer.
  3. And He will show you things which "you do not know."

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
