"One Vaccine to Rule Them All"

Yesterday Atlantic magazine, a widely read, left-leaning publication featured this: "What if a single vaccine could protect us against SARS, MERS, COVID-19, and every other coronavirus-related disease, forever and ever?"

But to achieve that level of protection, we must all come together as a global village, a world community of sorts....after all, we are the world... to accomplish it.

Dr. Anthony Fauci told the doctor, journalist who wrote the article, "It just makes sense to me to use all our capabilities to really go for a universal SARS-CoV-2 vaccine...."If we don't," he says, "we're going to be constantly chasing things..."

There is no question this COVID virus is real, is deadly, and needs to be addressed.

But what things are "we chasing" in this pandemic?

Be informed, not misled.

The message the Atlantic has published is that the idea of one needle full of the right serum will "rule them all."

The article is long, let's summarize:

The urgency to act.

"As the virus continues to spread wildly around the world--at this point, 5 million new infections are being identified every week--further mutation is inevitable," says  James Hamblin, MD, writing for the Atlantic.

Last month the US CDC released a three-tiered system to guide in prioritizing the emerging risks. They are, "A variant of  interest," "a variant of concern," and a "variant of high consequence."

Dr. Fauci is quoted throughout the article as advocating for a global response. He says, "Rather than playing whack-a-mole with each new problematic variant, it just makes sense to me to use all of our capabilities to really go for a universal SARS-CoV-2 vaccine"---"one that can protect no matter which way the virus goes."

Dr. Pamela Bjorkman, a bio-engineering professor at Caltech, Dr. Jason McClellan, Dr. Baozhong Wang, biochemist Dr, Wayne Koff, and other recognized authorities in the field are all calling for action with urgency.

Fauci says, "This virus is going to hang around for another couple of years before we suppress it, if we're lucky." And "even if we don't get one in place for this virus, we'll need one for the next one."

Dr. Bjorkman says in the past, most of the world ignored the viruses, but "To do so again would really be burying your head in the sand."

Dr. Koff says "the governments of  the G7 nations would have to come together with the private sector, the World Health Organization and nonprofits like the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation in order to make the system work."

He says "we didn't learn that after SARS, MERS, HIV, swine flu---but maybe this time we will."

Maybe.

The motives.

The heart is both wicked and deceitful according to the Bible---"who can know it?" According to Scripture even we don't know the intent of our own hearts. Until we hear ourselves or others speaking. Our words and actions are always revealing.

By all accounts, this is a marvelous opportunity for globalists to move their agenda forward.

Let's assume that all these doctors are sincerely motivated only to help people. We need not assume that in regards to the Atlantic, who chose the title and subtitle for Hamblin's article---who is a staff writer.

In March 2020, the Atlantic published an article titled, "The Coronavirus Is Demonstrating the Value of Globalization."

The subtitle read, "We are experiencing a painful introduction to anti-globalism and its consequences."

The entire story was about how President Trump's "America First" policies had restricted the advance of globalism, which is ultimately our only hope of survival.

The story used the coronavirus as an example of how restrictive a nationalistic-oriented president, as opposed to a globalist president (like Joe Biden), not only hurts America but all the people of the world.

What is globalism really about?

Well-known names have historically tried to rule the world by military conquest. We know their names, with Hitler probably being the most recent.

But the globalist movement is not military-driven. It's driven by the effort to conquer the mind, and normalize submission to someone or something other than God.

All under the guise of doing so for the "greater good."

Probably the best example of an attempt to globalize was early in human experience. The Tower of Babel is the story of how God said "no" to that notion.

Genesis 11 tells the story. Many have pondered the motives over the years. Books have been written arguing that Nimrod and the others simply were trying to build a better life for the community---for the greater good there on the plain of Babylon. That they feared another flood would come and destroy them as in the days of Nimrod's grandfather Noah. Some have speculated that the people were building a "Ziggurate"---a tower built for the purpose of worshiping the heavens---practicing the art of astrology rather than worshiping God.

Most of this speculation is a result of being uninformed.

Genesis 11:4 tells exactly what they were thinking.

"And they said, come, let us build a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens; let us make a name for our selves lest we be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."

Takeaway.

The Tower of Babel was built by the descendants of Noah to prevent the people from scattering. This was done in defiance of God's command to scatter and multiply---fill the earth with people.

It was an act of rebellion. It symbolizes their own ideas above God's purposes.

So what does this have to do with coronavirus? And vaccines?

God brings healing in many different ways. Sometimes in ways we can not explain---miraculous ways.

Often He heals through the hands of the physician.

And yes, our ultimate healing is when we stand in His presence.

No question this pandemic is real. But it's also being used for a myriad of different causes other than the obvious:  For-profit. For fame. For personal advancement. For power, and to advance an agenda.

The influencers of the world,---including big business, big tech, education, entertainment, even the Pope and some churches, are pushing toward globalism---with an eye to their playing a significant role in the end game.

Scripture is clear on borders and national sovereignty. Globalism is not God's plan until Christ returns to this earth to rule and reign.

A movement toward globalism is underway. We should resist it because it's contrary to God's time and plan.

Equally important, we must be informed. And stay informed. And understand our times.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful. Be Faithful.
