NEA Declares War On Parents

The National Education Association has moved to openly promoting the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) and to allocate funds to research  the "organizations attacking educators."

Those referred to as "attacking" are conservative organizations like the Heritage Foundation and others. It also refers to parents who disagree with their children being indoctrinated with CRT teachings that say America is systemically racist and corrupt and so are the people who oppose CRT's Marxist ideology and the widely discredited New York Times "1619 Project."

The nation's largest teacher's union has declared war on parents and parental authority.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says this strikes at the very foundations of our country.

I would also add that it also strikes at the very foundation of the cornerstone of our culture: The family.

Be informed, not misled.

The plan

During its virtual representative assembly held June 30--July 3, the nation's largest teachers' union agreed to "research the organizations attacking educators" doing what is referred to as "anti-racist" work, as well as to "use the research already done and put together a list of resources and recommendations for state affiliates, locals, and individual educators to utilize when they are attacked."

"New Business Item 2" dismisses the outrage of grassroots parents as it claims the main critics of CRT are "well funded" conservative groups.

It says:

"The attacks on anti-racist teachers are increasing, coordinated by well funded organizations such as the Heritage Foundation. We need to be better prepared to respond to these attacks so that our members can continue this important work."

This is an outright lie. And they know it.

Heritage and other conservative organizations are providing helpful materials for parents who are outraged over the blatant indoctrination that is happening in the government-run classrooms.

The union, whom I'm told cares little to nothing about the teachers most of the time, are trying to cast the teachers who are advancing the Critical Race Theory ideas as victims and the parents who strongly oppose the indoctrination of their children with CRT as the perpetrator. The bad guys.

The Left always calls "good", "evil" and 'evil", "good"---"Light", darkness" and "darkness", "light."

And that's exactly what's happening in this case. The Marxist Left is trying to steal our children, and when we parents object, they are "attacking teachers" and therefore must be "dealt with."

The union's resolution includes "a team of staffers for members who want to learn more and fight back against anti-CRT rhetoric."

NEA also intends "to join with Black Lives Matter at School and the "Zinn Education Project" to call for a rally this year on October 14---George Floyd's birthday---as a "national day of action to teach lessons about structural racism and oppression."

NAE's adoption of these resolutions will commit NEA President  Becky Pringle "to make public statements across all lines of media that support racial honesty in education including, but not limited to, critical race theory."

Yes, parents are outraged, but they're not the bad guys. And it isn't only "white" parents.

Parents across the country are swarming school board meetings.

Ty Smith, a black father, ripped Critical Race Theory at a school board meeting in Illinois a couple of weeks ago, saying the Marxist ideology deliberately seeks to teach children "to hate each other."

Here's the video

The dad, who also hosts a radio talk show, says: "How do I have two medical degrees if I'm sitting here oppressed?"

He continues:

"Two medical degrees. No mom, no dad in the house. Worked my way through college, sat there and hustled my butt off to get through college. You going to tell me somebody look like y'all white folks kept me from doing it? Are you serious? Not one white person ever come to me and said, 'Well son, you're never gonna be able to get nowhere because, you know, the black people'...but guess what? What's sickening about the whole thing is what y'all are doing right now is already something I do in my own community right now, to speak out against this stuff, because black folks are getting told by other black folks, 'Oh, you know you ain't going to be able to do nothing out there in the world because them white folks ain't going to let you get no...the white man, the white man gonna keep you down."

Then he said, "Well how did I get where I am right now if some white man kept me down? What kept me down? What oppressed me?"

He referred to CRT as "a lie and said, "Of this, the reason why black folks can't get ahead because of white folks? Are you kidding me? I can't believe we're even talking about this right now."

Smith continued, telling other parents and the mostly white school board, that "CRT is peddling an ideology that is opposite of what Martin Luther King, Jr. preached during his civil rights movement of the 1960s."

He told the meeting this CRT movement is going against everything MLK taught---"their character, not their skin color."

He explained he is out there in the "neighborhood talking to black folks, telling them nothing, including white people, or anyone else can keep them down if they commit and work hard."

He said, "I guarantee you to the day I die, I'm going to be the very person right there debunking this stuff, tearing stuff down, letting them know they can do exactly what I did and get exactly where I am by putting themselves to work...So CRT stuff is BS."

I'm certain Dr. Ben Carson would agree with him.

So does former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Former Sec. of State Mike Pompeo: "CRT strikes at the very foundations of our country."

Pompeo said Sunday,

"I'm worried about some of the things that are being taught in our schools. If we teach that the United States of America was somehow flawed, it was corrupt, it was racist, that's really dangerous. It strikes at the very foundations of our country. I certainly worry about that. It's called Critical Race Theory or the '1619 Project'. But in the end, they're attacking the central understandings that we have shared together for 245 years and it's an attempt to divide the country. If that continues, if that is allowed to flourish and prosper, then we could lose this thing that is so special. We can't let that happen."

"I'm an optimist," he said, "but I do worry that if we become fractured or we lose faith in our constitutional principles, that somewhere somehow or some adversary, like the Chinese Communist Party, will come and undermine what has made our country so special."

Takeaway.

The NEA has aligned with both Black Lives Matter at School and the "Zinn Education Project" for their special emphasis campaign of indoctrination in the classroom.

Most of us, by now, are pretty aware of what Black Lives Matter represents, and we know that the co-founders have publicly declared they are "trained Marxists."

You may not be as familiar with the "Zinn Education Project."

Howard Zinn was a professor at Boston University. After he passed away, one of his students, William Holtzman, formed a non-profit organization in 2007 to spread Zinn's teachings to schools across the country.

Zinn's book, "A People's History of The United States," is essentially his teachings on US history, which is a total revision, synced up with the far-left radical agenda.

It's pathetic. For years Zinn cut and pasted paragraphs from radical Left publications to build his own content. Holtz began a campaign to sign up teachers who agreed to read and use some of the content of Zinn's history textbook. Soon he had reached his goal of 100,000 teachers who had signed up---some of them, in turn, began to lobby the book for use in their school's curriculum.

Many schools today use Zinn's textbook.

For example, due to Southern Poverty Law Center's lobby, Zinn's lessons on Reconstruction are used in all South Carolina schools.

Zinn's companion version textbook, "A Young People's History of the United States," is the textbook for all public school eighth-graders use in Portland, OR.

A People's History appears on syllabi in states across the country, especially in Advanced Placement courses which were rewritten to far-Left standards under the Obama administration. Other teachers and professors recommend it as "extra" reading.

Zinn's book has reached the status of "holy book." JoBeth Hammond used it in place of the customary Bible in her swearing into the Oklahoma City Council. In Fairfax County, Virginia, Rachna Sizemore Heizer...swore the oath of office with her hand on Zinn's history book.

When you know that Soros money is flowing into the funding of the cult-like, so-called "history" text, you get the picture.

This is happening in public school classrooms in our time.

Parents and grandparents must be informed. Look into it in your school district.

Abraham Lincoln once observed, "The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next."

The radical Left is methodically trying to destroy this nation---and in the process, they are destroying the minds of our children...and grandchildren.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
