I'll Be Home For Christmas...?

"...If only in my dreams."

Yesterday Dr. Fauci was doing what he loves---sitting on TV shows telling the world how we ought to live.

Because his diagnosis has been so wrong so many times, every poll finds public trust in Fauci on a steep decline---but his significant income from multiple sources---including over half a million dollars from the government, continues to be intact. So much so that when asked if he has considered resigning because of his wrong calls on so many things, he replied with a resounding, "No."

Yesterday was a particularly good day for the doctor, but not for liberty and freedom.

He told CBS how we should be planning for Christmas...and what should happen to people who refuse to get in line with the state. This, while he praised education and businesses for exercising penalties on those who do not conform.

Christmas is 82 days from today. CBS's Margaret Brennan asks, "But can we gather for Christmas?"

Be informed, not misled.

Let me be clear. In this article, I am not advocating whether you should or should not take a shot---or shots, for COVID.

I personally believe that is a personal decision that each of us must make, prayerfully and informed.

However, I resent the state and her minions taking liberty and freedom from the people regarding the decision---and that's exactly what's happening.

Yes, Margaret, we may not have Christmas.

Dr. Fauci appeared on CBS's "Face The Nation" yesterday to discuss the pandemic with anchor Margaret Brennan.

Fauci was making his case that "those who remain unvaccinated should not be able to work or attend in-person school until they choose to receive a vaccination. Or vaccinations.

Brennan asked, "Was this a stunt? Are you seeing companies follow through even without the legal mandate file?"

It's very revealing when a leftist anchor asks one of her own if what they are doing is a "stunt."

There's a good reason for it. Last year---in December 2020, Fauci was predicting that Christmas would be back to normal by 2021.

Last year he said, "It is highly likely that with vaccines being distributed, that we will be back to normal by next Christmas," Fauci said a year ago.

After suggesting "legal issues" have become a roadblock, Fauci praised businesses and universities that have implemented mandates to exclude the unvaccinated.

So much for "inclusion" and "equity."

"When you tell people that their alternatives, that if you do not want to get vaccinated, you're not gonna work or you're not gonna be able to go to school, I think that the emergent nature of what we're dealing with actually does justify that," doctor Fauci explained.

He also expressed support for Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom's vaccine mandate for schoolchildren. And further made the case that we should not be gathering and most should always wear a mask, etc.

Then Brennan asked, "But can we gather for Christmas...?"

Dr. Fauci said, "You know Margaret, it's just too soon to tell."

We may give you permission to go home for Christmas---but it may be only in your dreams.

"We have to concentrate on continuing to get those numbers down and not try to jump ahead by weeks or months and say what we're going to do at a particular time."

"Let's focus like a laser on continuing to get those cases down. And we can do it by getting vaccinated," Fauci says.

Is he sure about that?

Vaccines not working as well as expected.

Antibody levels generated by two shots of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine can undergo up to a 10-fold decrease seven months following the second vaccination, new research is suggesting.

The drop in antibody levels will compromise the body's ability to defend itself against COVID-19 if the individual becomes infected.

A recent BioRxiv study was published ahead of peer-review, which finds that many recipients of the vaccine displayed waning of antibodies to the virus and its variants including Delta, Beta, and Mu.

More than 226 million people in the US have received Pfizer's two shots. More than 151 million have received the two shots from Moderna, and 15 million from Johnson & Johnson.

Scientists at Stanford University and Emory University told Reuters this weekend that their studies show that the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine induces high levels of neutralizing antibodies against the original vaccine strain, but the levels drop by nearly 10-fold by seven months.

The two-dose Pfizer vaccine was found to be 96% effective for the first two months following the second dose, but this new research paper, which is yet to be peer-reviewed, finds that Pfizer drops to 83.7% after four to six months.

Does this mean that shots will be required every 6 months or so for an individual to work or go to school?

"It's evolving," as they say. Is this an attempt by competitors to undermine Pfizer and raise the value of the other two shots?

Who knows?

Takeaway

Fauci remains certain that the shot is the answer to "flattening the curve"---even in the face of some pretty strong evidence that the shots are not performing as well as hoped.

A question that Fauci, Biden, and their cohorts avoid like the plague is, "Since we are laser-focused on getting everyone vaccinated, why are we turning our head as hundreds of thousands of illegal migrants are flooding across our borders with as many as 15-20% of them covid positive?"

Why are we punishing American citizens who can not take the shot because of their deeply held religious beliefs or other issues for being "unvaccinated" while thousands of illegals pour across the border into cities across our country?

That's the height of hypocrisy? I would ask what Margaret Brennan asked Fauci: Is "this a stunt?"

His response is, that different: "Focusing on immigrants, expelling them, is not the solution," he explains.

He is overlooking the fact that 170,000 migrants crossed the border illegally just in June, and the Border Patrol was not testing them for Covid. Migrant encounters are at a 21 year high, with 15-20% positive for Covid.

"Certainly immigrants can get infected, but they're not the driving force," Fauci says. "You are."

Hypocrisy.
