The story was written about in almost every newspaper in America, and told breathlessly on almost every electronic news broadcast as well: "A senior Biden health appointee who made history when she became the nation's highest-ranking openly transgender official has also become its first openly transgender four-star general."
The story that everybody published continued: "The move was hailed by advocacy groups like the gay rights organization GLADD, and healthcare leaders who called it a breakthrough."
However not everyone "hailed" it.
US House Representative Jim Banks (R-Indiana) posted on Twitter: "The title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man."
Twitter pounced.
Be informed, not misled.
The national celebratory story continued: "Rachel Levine, the US assistant secretary for health, was sworn in Tuesday as an admiral of the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps...Levine is also the organization's first-ever female four-star admiral."
"Rachel" Levine, formerly known as "Richard", married Martha Peaslee Levine in 1988 during his last year in medical school.
The couple has two children. "Richard" began "transitioning" in 2011, and in 2013 the couple was divorced.
In an interview, Levine stressed that "her" new position as an admiral was not "just symbolic" and that "she" would take a leadership role in shaping the public health corps priorities.
As you can imagine, all this raised more than a few eyebrows.
Tom Fitton, president of the legal group Judicial Watch, posted on Facebook: "Biden gang playing quota politics with public health service."
But it was US Representative Jim Bank's (R-IN.) comment that aroused Twitter, and they pounced.
Banks posted, "The title of first female four-star officer gets taken by a man."
The post was removed with a reference to Twitter rules that include a ban on "targeted misgendering" of transgender people. Banks official Twitter account remained online as late as yesterday, but he wasn't allowed to add new posts. His personal account with fewer followers remained active.
Banks is standing by his post about Levine.
He says, "My tweet was a statement of fact"---he's right. There is no science that says a male can "transition" and become a female or vise-versa.
Banks also said, "Big Tech doesn't have to agree with me, but they shouldn't be able to cancel me. If they silence me, they will silence you. You can't allow Big Tech to prevent us from telling the truth."
Brazen and breathtaking
How quickly we have shed the cloak of pretense regarding the "truth." About anything. But a new pamphlet from the Cambridge Student Union's Women's Campaign takes the cake.
It advises students on how to identify heretics who still doubt that a man can become a woman by simply saying so.
Lifesite notes that "As trans activists accrue cultural power and consolidate their territorial gains, their movement has begun the process of doing what all revolutionaries inevitably do: hunt down and punish dissenters. They aren't subtle about it either."
Rep. Jim Banks was one who was "hunted" and "punished."
The 8-page pamphlet opens by announcing that there are some women who are not welcome in the women's movement: "Trans liberation is part of feminism. Fighting for autonomy and freedom must be a fight for everyone, and there should be no room for transphobia or Trans Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF) in feminist organizing."
TERF's we are told, are basically trash because they have a "conservative, binary, essentialist conception of sex as the be-all-end-all, and a deep hatred of trans women, couched in the language of feminism and feminist theory."
Understand? Me neither.
It's insanity by another name.
The pamphlet closes with a suggested reading list to inoculate allies from falling prey to TERF's or TERFism.
The US State Department tweeted last week an article instructing Americans on how to use "preferred pronouns," noting: "Today on International Pronouns Day, we share why many people list pronouns on their email and social media profiles."

Although our State Department was widely mocked---but they soldier on for their cause.
Donald Trump, Jr tweeted: "If I'm Xi Jinping, I take one look at that tweet and then invade Taiwan...At this rate, we should probably just go ahead and learn our pronouns in Mandarin. Oh, yea, btw, what were the pronouns of all the Americans you abandoned to the Taliban?"

Oh yea, btw, what were the pronouns of all the Americans you abandoned to the Taliban? https://t.co/aUNN3zd71L
And this: "This is what they were likely focused on while leaving Americans behind to fend for themselves against terrorists in Afghanistan."
This is a joke, right? I wish it were. The reality is that students who refuse to play along with this delusion, face being ostracized, face hostility, and even weird witch-hunt manuals instructing other students on how to pick them out and pinpoint them as enemies of progress.
The biblical Christian church is actually seen as the last and greatest enemy or obstacle holding back progress in the mind of the so-called "progressive."
How did we get here so fast? The very basics of human sexuality are being challenged and discarded---and it isn't only from kids who will eventually "grow up" and grow out of this nonsense.
It's our own US State Department---In alliance with Big Tech.
Yes Virginia, the proverbial "slippery slope" really exists.
It gets to this level of insanity incrementally. It's called "compromise."
Compromise is a slow process. It is a thousand small concessions in the heart and mind that eventually wear away the Truth.
I'm going to talk more about compromise today on our daily radio program. Please join me from anywhere in the world. Here's how.
