Progressive U.S. Rep.: "Roe Was Never About A Baby"

The moment word was leaked to the public that the Supreme Court would be overturning “ Roe v Wade,” it became obvious that the Left had a well-coordinated plan in place to make as much political gain out of the situation as possible. Leftists went into overdrive.

The coordinated criminal rampages were immediate and widespread, including physical threats at the homes of pro-Constitution/pro-life justices, assaults on pro-life supporters, and even the firebombing of a pro-life “Family Action Center” in Madison, Wisconsin.

And Congresswoman Cori Bush (D-MO.) is telling MSNBC that all this "was never about a baby, anyway."

Be informed, not misled.

Author Christopher Adamo, whose book titled "Rules For Defeating Radicals: Countering the  Alinsky Strategy in Politics and Culture," published an article yesterday in which he said,

"Amid all the contrived hysteria, laws have been broken and the guilty need to be tracked down and prosecuted, including those leftist Democrats on Capitol Hill who fanned the flames of incitement with their grandstanding and lies. Nothing that the impending decision might possibly do to change America’s abortion laws would pose an actual health risk to women. But that is not the narrative of the left. Instead, they have concocted the image that women will be gravely endangered. That makes for better theater on the nightly Fake News."

He continues:

"Consider, for a moment, how this deliberate provocation of the leftist mob, with its proven track record of real violence and destruction of private property, has played out. The very people who incessantly squall about the ostensible right-wing “violence” of January 6, 2021, now do their utmost to fan flames of wrath and vengeance from those who have a real track record of lawless attacks. The hypocrisy is flagrant and unfettered. But of course, that is who leftists are. And not surprisingly, real harm has come to people and property targeted by them."

Indeed it has.

Remember former Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan's "Summer of Love" that played out on Capitol Hill?

The radical Left is calling for a "Summer of Outrage," they have started their engines and are entering the track.

What a "Summer of Outrage" would look like?

Abortion activists gathered around the nation on Saturday, May 14, to protest against the possibility of the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade. More than 300 “Bans Off Our Bodies” marches were scheduled in various cities, with the largest in Washington DC, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago, in what organizers are promising to be a “summer of rage” if abortion rights are kicked down to the states.

Rachel Carmona, president of Women’s March, explained: “For the women of this country, this will be a summer of rage. We will be ungovernable until this government starts working for us, until the attacks on our bodies let up, until the right to an abortion is codified into law.”

In New York, thousands gathered to march across the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan. Elizabeth Holtzman, an 80-year-old former Congresswoman who represented New York from 1973-to 1981, said the leaked draft opinion “treats women as objects, as less than full human beings.” She added, “I’ve been fighting for women’s rights for 50 years and I’m not going to give up.”

Seattle's KOMO TV News reported that "Thousands gathered across western Washington in support of abortion rights and anger over the prospect that the Supreme Court may soon strike down the constitutional right to an abortion."

However some of their "anger" is contrived, some conveniently based on a lie. There never was a "right" in the Constitution to commit abortions.  And abortions---unfortunately---will still be legal in a number of states. Abortion will be a state, rather than a federal issue.

In Seattle, a couple of thousand protesters gathered at Cal Anderson Park for the “summer of rage” event according to reports.

Cal Anderson Park, you may recall, was the birthplace---at least the place of conception---for the "Summer of Love" a couple of summers ago.

We all remember how that went. The nation remembers.

The Cal Anderson Park gathering marched through downtown, then back to the Mother Park.

Laurie Hudnall, an RN for a local trauma hospital who attended the protest said, ”While the crowd was pleasant,” there were also some moments that made her "uncomfortable when pro-life supporters showed up and started arguing with the attendees. They were preaching abstinence,” Hudnall explained. “No sex unless you want to conceive.”

Denise Beeout, a mother from Marysville, brought her 9-year-old daughter. "We need to make sure her rights are protected  so when they grow up, they can make the right decisions for themselves."

Sen. Emily Randall (D-Bremerton)---no relation---said, "We have worked tirelessly to protect and  strengthen our access to abortion in the State of Washington."

Yes, they have, and Gov. Inslee is promising his best efforts to "make progress" on even more accommodating abortion policies.

But the people behind the scenes---the "public servants" who push the buttons, including those surrounding the abortion issues, are saying that this was "never about a baby."

Congresswoman: "Opposition to abortion has never been about a baby."

Fox News reports, "During the Wednesday evening episode of MSNBC's The ReidOut, Rep. Cori Bush, D-Mo., tried to equate enacting abortion restrictions to enacting "sperm regulation legislation" and asserted that men would not be able to handle women controlling their bodies in that way if the shoe were on the other foot."

And Fox said:

Host Joy Reid brought the congresswoman onto her show to discuss Republicans’ plot to control women’s bodies across the nation.

Reid began the segment remarking on "the idea that people like [Republican senators] Ron Johnson and Ted Cruz are focusing on the protests, the protesters, saying they’re the real problem and trying to deflect attention when at the same time states are passing laws" restricting abortion.

Reid then prompted Bush, stating, "I just wonder how you feel listening to these men stand around and say, ‘Well, this isn’t a big problem. The real problem is the protests.’"

Bush responded by claiming that Republicans are "trying to deflect" and then launched into a rant about the GOP seeking to control women’s bodies, culminating in her asking why there isn’t sperm regulation to eradicate the perceived doubled standard.

Then Rep. Cori Bush said this:

"Opposition to abortion care has never been about a baby. It’s never been about children because if it was, we’d have better resources for when the child is actually born, but so it was never about that. It’s just about control."

In one statement on television this "public servant" is telling all who are watching that those pro-life people don't really care about the sanctity of life---it's a front. They're hypocrites. All the pro-life people care about is power, not the baby.

Takeaway

Chris Adamo says of  the so-called "progressive" Left in America:

They know they are without standing or legitimacy and have no “consent of the governed” by which to advance their despicable agenda. That is their inherent weakness. And they know that if the Conservative base ever becomes united and committed in its opposition to them, their scam of a “government” faces grave danger. So their only hope is to convince Real America of the futile and dishonorable nature of opposition to them, and on that basis, to silence it.

Sadly, this is the weakness of the Right that has been played against it with far greater success. It is not a disadvantage of numbers or principle, but of strategic gullibility. It is wholly frustrating that those in so many leadership positions on the right can be so easily manipulated by their ideological opposition. Yet that is the primary means by which the left prevails. War is not fought to the total destruction of the foe, but only to the point of convincing him that opposition is futile. And that’s where the left triumphs, far too often, over the vastly larger force of Conservative America.

Given the stark disparity in the paltry size of the recent leftist protests, despite an enormous amount of funding, coordination, and incitement from the political establishment, in contrast to the enormity of the pro-Constitution, pro-America grassroots, it is a crying shame that the left ever prevails. It does so only on a fraudulent basis. It is the actual power we possess to change the course of America’s future that they never want us to realize we have at our disposal. If the right ever figures out it has the numbers and the righteous cause to win this battle, the leftist agenda will quickly be relegated to the “ash heap of history” where it belongs.

Regardless of any accusations or other sanctimony from leftist leaders, or any cowardly calls for acquiescence and compliance from supposed conservatives, those are the real battle lines of the day.
