Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) shook the so-called "progressive" community yesterday by taking action against woke prosecutors who put themselves above the law.

He announced the suspension and replacement of State Attorney Andrew Warren.

Speaking from Tampa, the governor detailed the growing emergence of woke prosecutors across the country and the frustration it has caused within the law enforcement community. These prosecutors, he explained, are effectively nullifying laws with selective enforcement, allowing crime to run rampant across the country.

DeSantis is definitely a man of both words and action.

Be informed, not misled.

This is what leadership looks like.

The governor asked for an examination of such actions in the Sunshine State and said the results pointed to the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit in Hillsborough County with State Attorney Andrew Warren.

Most people in America are fully aware that lawlessness is rampant. This has not been lost on Gov. DeSantis.

Yesterday DeSantis suspended Soros-backed Hillsborough County State Attorney Andrew Warren.

“The Governor has the authority to suspend a state officer under Article IV, Section 7 of the Constitution of the State of Florida,” the governor’s office said in a statement.

“State Attorneys have a duty to prosecute crimes as defined in Florida law, not to pick and choose which laws to enforce based on his personal agenda,” the Republican governor said. “It is my duty to hold Florida’s elected officials to the highest standards for the people of Florida. I have the utmost trust that Judge Susan Lopez will lead the office through this transition and faithfully uphold the rule of law.”

DeSantis gave a number of examples of Warren refusing to enforce state law. After the Dobbs decision, for example, the Democrat signed a letter saying he would not enforce any state laws relating to protecting the unborn in Florida.

The Governor also noted Warren's pro-LGBTQ+ position of vowing not to enforce prohibitions on sex changes for minors or restrictions on abortions.

He said yesterday, "We are committed to protecting Floridians and state attorneys do not get to pick and choose which elements of the law they want to enforce."

He continued, "Prosecutor discretion is not about blanket policies. It's about individual cases."

How do lawless attorneys get elected?

The New York Times published an article titled, "5 Prosecutors With a Fresh Approach" in 2017, celebrating how billionaire, open borders advocate George Soros, is funding anti-law lawyers' political campaigns for positions similar to Warren's.

The Times said, "They don’t talk about locking up the bad guys and throwing away the key. They talk instead about a justice system that jails too many people at the expense, they say, of common sense, public safety, and even humanity. Here are five change-minded prosecutors, all of them Democrats whose campaigns were funded by the billionaire George Soros, and the causes they have championed."

First on the list of 5 was... you guessed it:

Andrew Warren

State attorney for Hillsborough County, Fla. (Tampa)

Age: 40

Elected: November 2016

Background: Former federal prosecutor

Promise: To find alternatives to prison for nonviolent and first-time offenders, especially juveniles.

“Charging kids as adults should be reserved for the most serious, violent, and chronic offenders. This is Juvenile Justice 101.”

And there were 4 other duplicate copies of Andrew Warren.

Takeway.

DeSantis said, "We are not going to allow this pathogen that's been around the country of ignoring the law, we are not going to let that get a foothold here in the state of Florida, we are going to make sure our laws are enforced, and that no individual prosecutor puts himself above the law."

It has been said, "Mankind can live free in a society hemmed in by laws, but we have yet to find a historical example of mankind living free in lawless anarchy."

A failed country is caused by a failed state. A failed state is caused by lawlessness. Lawlessness is caused by government officials, accepting bribes to not do their job.

Lawlessness is confusion. God is not the author of confusion.
