Even the New York Times is trying to awaken their ally of the Left, President Biden and his administration, to the coming disaster at the Texas-Mexico border.
The Times says, "Barring a last-minute legal challenge, the Trump-era policy known as Title 42 will expire at 11:59 p.m. Eastern on Thursday.
Although it's nearly impossible for the Times to say anything positive about former President Trump, his "Title 42" policy has held back the tsunami of the masses from illegally flowing into the United States.
Will the current administration sleep through this disaster, then deny it is happening?
Or will they awaken and do something constructive for our country?
Be informed, not misled.
The New York Times says, "Border agents, state and local officials and even President Biden’s top aides in Washington are all bracing for the arrival of tens of thousands of migrants in the coming days. Already, people have begun crossing into U.S. border towns, anticipating the end of Title 42, which since 2020 has allowed the government to swiftly expel citizens of several countries back to Mexico."
The Times notes, "Three cities in Texas — Brownsville, Laredo and El Paso — have declared a state of emergency. Outside the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in downtown El Paso last week, a tableau of human misery fanned out for several blocks, with destitute migrants occupying every spit of sidewalk."
Biden’s Border Chief Says He Can’t Explain The Border Rush.
We are in a state of confusion.
President Joe Biden’s border chief says he can’t explain why hundreds of thousands of migrants are rushing over the border he is tasked to guard.
“Can you explain why you’ve seen this big surge [of migrants] in the last couple of weeks?” border chief Alejandro Mayorkas was asked on Friday, just six days before he lifts the Title 42 border barrier.
"It’s very difficult to identify the cause,” the pro-migration border chief responded to the reporter.
It's not really very difficult for we common folk out here. Even those seeking to enter the US illegally can identify the "cause."
A Venezuelan migrant named Daniel told New York Times why he and many other Venezuelans are sneaking into the United States: “We just want to work.”
“The goal is to provide for the children a quality life and educational opportunities,” Venezuelan Abel Oviedo told Texas Tribune.
The "cause" is obvious for most illegal migrants. America is the greatest nation in the history of the world. Except for those wishing to harm our country and its people, the thousands coming illegally want a better life.
The cause of their coming is not some deep mystery, except to Vice President Kamala Harris, who, last we heard, was still searching for the "root cause," while the guy in charge of the border admits he has no clue.
The question is, why are those in current leadership allowing this to happen?
Why is he apparently so uninformed?
Mayorkas’ claimed ignorance even though his agency has a 2023 budget of $175 billion.
He works with intelligence and police agencies in the world’s superpowers and is free to read the explanation by migrants.
Mr. Mayorkas, in his strongest little voice, told the press, "The border is not open. It is closed."
Yes. And the king has no clothes.
And America has no leadership.
Occupiers and leaders.
After claiming ignorance in response to the reporter’s question, Mayorkas then released a jumbled string of words, similar to the “bafflegab” language used by British politicians:
You know the challenge of migration is in one aspect, its dynamism. It is a very complex phenomenon. We saw the tragic fire in the city of Juarez in Mexico and the impact domestically within Mexico. And since then we saw, over the past two weeks, a significant surge of Venezuelans. We are we have reached an agreement with the government of Mexico to address that surge and we’re going to see the results of that agreement very shortly.
Have you noticed how this administration always deflects when asked an honest question?
Mayorkas frequently deflects questions about his pro-migration policies by claiming, “fundamentally, we are working within a broken immigration system.”
One of his own Democrats turned the light on that little lie.
Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX) explains:
Just saying that the system is broken is an easy way to not [do] what we need to do at the border and working with other people, other countries like Mexico, Guatemala, and other folks that want to work with [us]. I agree, I support immigration reform. But just to say “the system is broken” is an easy way out to not doing what we need to do at the border, and that is to provide law and order at the border and still respect the dignity of the immigrants that have legitimate, I emphasize, legitimate claims.
Even NBC News admits that simple truth.
The New York Times tries to downplay Biden's responsibility. The paper relied on passive-voice statements to downplay Biden’s responsibility for removing President Donald Trump’s pro-U.S. policies, including the Title 42 border barrier.
The coming tsunami of mass illegal migration is President Biden's fault. He and his administration either aren't capable of leading or they want to see America fundamentally remade as President Obama dreamed of.
Mayorkas is a pro-migration zealot who certainly isn't leading.
He says his border management is “all about achieving equity, which is really the core founding principle of our country.” Mayorkas’ demands imply equity between U.S. citizens and foreign citizens, and he has opened many loopholes for millions of economic migrants to cross into the United States.
Equity has never been a "core founding principle of our country."
Equality is a core founding principle of our country.
"Equity" is a core value of socialism. Equity promises people equal outcomes regardless of merit, hard work, or ability.
Equality promises people equal opportunity.
Takeaway
If this isn't a balded face attempt to destroy or remake our country, perhaps it's just a political tactic to please the far Left and get re-elected.
Consider this:
Migration — and especially labor migration — is unpopular among swing voters. A 54 percent majority of Americans say Biden is allowing a southern border invasion, according to an August 2022 poll commissioned by the left-of-center National Public Radio (NPR).
The 54 percent “Invasion” majority included 76 percent of Republicans, 46 percent of independents, and even 40 percent of Democrats.
George Washington said: "99% of failures come from people who make excuses."
John Quincy Adams said: "If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader."
Do you feel inspired by the current leadership to dream, learn, do, and become more?
I didn't think so. Neither do I.
