Texas Sues Planned Parenthood; Could Result In $1 Billion Judgment

Texas officials have filed a lawsuit against Planned Parenthood, saying that the abortion business filed millions in false Medicaid claims for which it improperly received taxpayer reimbursement. With the repayments, damages, and fines, the abortion chain could face a $1 billion judgment.

Be informed, not misled.

Planned Parenthood kills children and apparently steals money.

In 2021, a Texas judge allowed the state to defund Planned Parenthood and kick the abortion giant out of its Medicaid program.

Medicaid is the largest stream of taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood, and, in Texas, that funding was supposed to be cut off after the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the state, agreeing that Texas can kick out Planned Parenthood from the program for violating the law. The decision to defund Planned Parenthood came after the abortion business was exposed selling the body parts of aborted babies.

Now, two years later, Texas wants to recover the taxpayer funds Planned Parenthood improperly received during that time period so they can be used to help Texas residents. The state not only wants the $17 million it says the abortion company owes the state, but damages, fees, and fines that could total $1 billion once a full judgment is rendered as Texas brought the lawsuit under the federal False Claims Act, which allows fines for every improper payment.

U.S. District Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk heard the case Tuesday. It appears to be a first of its kind to recover taxpayer funds from the nation's biggest abortion business. Judge Kacsmaryk is the judge who issued a ruling halting the mifepristone abortion pill because of the damage it has caused women.

Alexis McGill Johnson, president of Planned Parenthood Federation of America, says, “This baseless case is an active effort to shut down Planned Parenthood health centers.”

I pray they succeed. Planned Parenthood is the face of evil. Its primary mission is not to be a "health center" but to kill unwanted unborn children.

Pro-life advocates say, “There are hundreds of providers throughout the state of Texas willing to serve poor women with authentic healthcare services that are not also peddling abortion. The Texas Pregnancy Care Network has a list of such providers throughout the state and if these providers do not accept Medicaid, they can make referrals to life-affirming Medicaid providers who can offer genuine healthcare to women in need.”

But it's not about "health care" and everybody knows it. It's about abortion, the number one procedure in most, if not all, Planned Parenthood clinics.

Why won't the Left keep their hands off the children?

National Public Radio and a host of other voices try to normalize abortion. They say, "Abortion wasn't always controversial. In fact, in colonial America, it would have been considered a fairly common practice. But in the mid-1800s, a small group of physicians set out to change that."

Slavery wasn't always controversial among some people either, but that didn't make it right.

NPR goes to great lengths in its attempt to normalize that which is not normal. Killing a life.

These are excerpts from their presentation of "unbiased" expert guests:

  • In 1860, governors of every single state in the U.S. received this letter from the recently established American Medical Association.
  • UNIDENTIFIED PERSON: (Reading) The evil to society of this crime is evident from the fact that its instances in this country are now to be counted by hundreds of thousands.
  • But there was really only one guy holding the pen.
  • KARISSA HAUGEBERG: Horatio Storer.
  • Karissa Haugeberg is an associate professor of history at Tulane University. She studied the formation of the anti-abortion movement.
  • HAUGEBERG: Basically, he[ Horatio Storer]  ghostwrote a letter from the president of the AMA - so it looked like it was coming from the president, but Storer was actually the one who wrote it - saying that the AMA opposes abortion. And he used the language of morality.
  • ABDELFATAH: The letter was pivotal to what historians call the physicians' crusade against abortion, and Storer was making a few key arguments for why abortion should be illegal across the country. First, he introduced a new idea.

According to NPR and their expert guests, the "new idea" was that "The child is alive from the moment of conception."

The Left is blind and dumb to spiritual matters. Do they not know that God says He knew you before you were conceived in your mother's womb? Or do they simply not care?

If you read the entire article, you learn that Horatio Storer is the evil one, not the abortionist.

They accuse him of even "bringing a moral argument" against abortion.

And they claim that he, Storer, because of his stand against abortion, is responsible for the "planned breeding of the population - American eugenics."

"Alive from the moment of conception" is not a "new idea."

The first abortion is said to have occurred in ancient Egypt. However, Greeks, Romans, Egyptians, and Jews recorded using various methods of abortion.

Infanticide was actually a religious practice.

God’s demand that his people not participate in the worship of other deities was not without warrant. As with several religions of the Bible days, infanticide aided in idol worship. Prominent deities worshiped in this way include:

  • Moloch/Molech/Baal
  • Tanit/Tannith/Tannit
  • Cronus/Cronos/Kronos
  • Saturn/Saturnus

In addition, several passages in the Old Testament refer to the Canaanites offering their children to various unnamed deities (Psalm 106:37-41).

Several books of the Bible are heavy with the mention of infanticide. Throughout the Old Testament, God commands His followers to reject worship via infanticide. Likewise, He insists his people destroy any symbols associated with deities that condone the practice. For example, God’s disgust and response to these practices appear throughout these books:

  • Leviticus 18 and 20
  • Deuteronomy 12 and 18
  • Jeremiah 7, 19 and 32
  • 2 Kings 17, 21 and 23

Infanticide and abortion have also been used by tyrants to empower themselves.

Aside from idol worship, tyrannical rulers used abortion to secure their place in government. For instance, both Pharaoh and King Herod commanded the mass abortion of male children.

Exodus — Under Pharaoh’s command, sex-selective infanticide and abortion were used to control the Hebrew population in Exodus 1. Midwives were instructed to abort all newborn males “on the birthstool” in Exodus 1:16.

Matthew — In Matthew 2, King Herod hears that the “King of the Jews” has been born. In an attempt to secure his own rule, Herod demands the life of every male child 2 years old and under be taken. (Matthew 2:16-18). This was his attempt to kill Jesus.

Takeaway

Any attempt to end the life of a human being---born or pre-born, is an offense to Almighty God, who through His breath, created life.

Every life is sanctified by God and is intended to be lived. God doesn't make mistakes. And He is not mocked.

Abortion is a mockery of God. Stand for Life.
