Rather than taking a deep breath and giving some serious thought to why Trump was chosen by the people to be president and Kamala was not, the Left has gone back to their old ways and rejected ideas.
The first thing President Trump and Vice President Vance did on their first full day in office was to attend a church "prayer" service, where the Bishop (pastor) blasted Trump by publicly pleading with him to "have mercy on the people of our country."
On the same day at the University of Washington, a conservative Christian speaker with TPUSA was barricaded from going to the lectern to speak after being hunted down by ANTIFA on the campus.
Be informed, not misled.
Bishop makes the case for cultural Marxism rather than the Gospel.
On Tuesday morning, President Trump and Vice-President Vance went to church. That's a long-held tradition in our country.
However, it is not a tradition for the pastor, or in this case, the bishop, to attack the president as he and others sit in the pews.
On Tuesday, as part of inaugural festivities, President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance and their families attended an "interfaith" prayer service at the National Cathedral. But while most of the speakers acquitted themselves well, a female Episcopalian "bishop" decided to fulfill the far-left's wildest dreams by directing a woke tangent at the president.
During Bishop Mariann Budde's "sermon," she ranted about "transgender children" and asked Trump to have "mercy" on those who are "scared" of his administration, including those who "pick our crops."
Her words: "Let me make one final plea, Mr. President. Millions have put their trust in you, and as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian, and transgender children and Democratic, Independent, and Republican families, some who fear for their lives."
Red State said this: "I won't go too far into the weeds about how far off the rails the Episcopalian Church has gone, but if you've been around the political block, none of this will surprise you. Clips of largely female 'clergy' pushing left-wing ideology have become commonplace on the internet. Far from preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they have transformed Christianity into a vessel for their universalist, hedonist politics, with a special emphasis on LGBT issues."
In short, it's heresy. Figures like Budde have taken the Word of God and cast it aside for a worldly ideology that just so happens to line up directly with their selfish political wants. That's not Christianity. It's idolatry that preserves sin, leading people away from the transformative power of the Gospel.
Budde continued by making the racist and xenophobic generalization that immigrants "pick our crops" and "wash the dishes."
And the people, the people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings, who labor in poultry farms and meat-packing plants, who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants, they, they may not be citizens or have the proper documentation, but the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, [?], and temples.
I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President.
I know left-wingers can't grasp this, but Hispanic people are good for more than doing menial labor jobs that affluent, white female Episcopalian "bishops" don't want to do. Still, the fact that some illegal immigrants perform low-skilled labor does not invalidate a nation's laws, nor does it make it right to break them. God teaches us to be merciful to others in our individual lives. He doesn't teach to blatantly violate the law while doing so.
With that said, JD Vance wasn't exactly enthralled with the lecture. His facial expressions told the rest of the story.
God does not smile when church leaders use His name to lead people astray.
Trump was more blunt. When asked by reporters what he thought, he asked them what they thought, then said this: "They could have done better," he said, as he walked past the bishop who was greeting people as they left the service, without acknowledging her presence.
Beth Brelje at The Federalist said, "Budde was not giving a genuine, heartfelt call to prayer for the nation. She was giving a political stump speech, and a bad one at that. I understand the hesitancy to question those who claim to be representatives of their faith and I often share it, but it's okay to speak truthfully about those who are actively manipulating Christianity for their own selfish ends. The Gospel is not about transitioning children or breaking immigration laws. It's about the grace of God saving us from our sin, not pushing us further into it out of some misguided idea of universalist 'love.'"
It's time to stop perverting Christianity to push Marxism.
She also says this: "Like too many preachers, Budde is using the power of her position to promote her personal ideas, and that is a hellish crime because people who seek God are looking for eternal answers. When you dress up like a pastor and stand in a church, folks think you are going to tell the truth. The Truth is, Budde can’t keep her dislike for Trump far from the surface."
And then there's this.
"In the immediate aftermath of the National elections, you wonder if there might be a Christian community for you,” starts a post from Budde shortly after the November election. It was an invitation to worship at the National Cathedral. An aftermath is the time after something bad happens. The word choice was not an accident, coming from a highly educated scholar like Budde.
In the post, she reveals that hers is a church where the truth is whatever you (not God) say it is.
She continues in her post: “We don’t ask our people to agree on matters of politics, theology, or biblical interpretation. Instead, we rely on God’s grace to unite us when we gather at Jesus’ table.”
When the church leader can’t articulate one truth, it is a perversion of Christianity. Saying what the Left wants to hear may satisfy a few on the margin, but it won’t lead to God.
In addition to the Christian music and liturgy, the service also featured music from a Jewish cantor, a Muslim call to prayer, and readings by representatives of other religions.
Apparently, the resistance has begun.
While the bishop perverts the Gospel to shame Trump, the Leftists physically blocked a conservative Christian speaker with Turning Point USA from giving a speech on the University of Washington campus.
Riley Gains posted this on X: "My friend @oliviakrolczyk_was set to speak for the @TPUSA chapter at U Washington tonight. Protestors have barricaded her in a room, pulled the fire alarms, and are banging on the door. She can't evacuate the building at this point."
Antifa had hunted her down.
Alarming situation happening right now at the University of Washington.

A "mostly peaceful" protest —yes, that's what they called it —involving several hundred protestors was held in Portland, Oregon, Tuesday night to protest President Trump's inauguration. Protestors used "peaceful" spray cans and "peaceful" broken glass to mark the occasion.
