A leading organization of young conservatives says radical ideology still runs deep, but it's time to get education back on track.
In defiance of Trump's Jan. 29 executive order ending radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling, Michigan Board of Education Superintendent Michael Rice reportedly remains committed to teaching racism and LGBTQ ideology to kindergartners, high school seniors, and all ages in between.
Unfortunately, Superintendent Rice is not the only one.
Will public education ever learn that indoctrination is not "learning?"
Be informed, not misled.
American Family News reports, "The left has not learned its lesson."
"In Michigan, it is unlawful to discriminate against individuals on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity or expression," Rice said in a letter sent to local school superintendents in response to the order. "Neither a presidential executive order nor federal regulations, whether related to federal funding or not, can supersede or otherwise set aside our obligation to comply with a validly enacted state anti-discrimination law. State civil rights law remains the law."
He cited a 2023 statistic that nearly 25% of public high school students in the state "identify as LGBTQ+."
If that's true, their indoctrination plan is on schedule. It's working.
The letter begins with, “We are people too.”
Supt. Rice then continues with this:
As I do periodically, I met recently with a group of students—in this case, a group of LGBTQ+ students—at my request so that I could listen and learn. Among the most poignant reflections of these very articulate young people was the one above, “We are people too,” made all the more poignant by the realization that the student sharing felt the need to give voice to this thought amidst reflections about the strong caring and support of some friends, family, and staff members on the one hand—and meanness, bullying, and discrimination on the other. All children—no exceptions—deserve safe, welcoming schools. All have the right to be free from bullying and discrimination. To the absolute best of our ability, we as educators have the responsibility to ensure these rights for all in schools.
Rice then says, "All means All."
But does it really mean "all?" At what cost to vulnerable students does he and others like him push the destructive choices of LGBTQAI+ lifestyle?
If they are not being indoctrinated, why is 25% of the population LGBTGQ in his state when the national average is far below that number?
Does he have special classes, curriculum, and conversation for those who are heterosexual?
Not likely, because that's normal to Nature and Nature's Creator God.
He says, "All means all, including LGBTQ+ students. We educate, protect, and support all our children. Students arrive with their own unique experiences, identities, and needs. We have a moral and professional responsibility to them all."
Are students who hold different views about sexuality than that of the homosexual community provided "safe welcoming schools--without exception?"
Are kids who hold a biblical view of homosexuality given a special welcome and space?
We know the pressure to indoctrinate our kids in public education is enormous.
Superintendent Rice claims in his letter he has a "legal obligation" to accommodate the LGBTQIA+ movement and to take a stand against Trump's executive order calling on publicly funded schools to remove the LGBTQIA+ curriculum and return to traditional education---or lose federal funding.
And to end the recent practice of boys claiming to be girls competing against biological girls in sports.
And stop indoctrinating students.
Rice concludes his "letter" with, "Like all students, LGBTQ+ students are most likely to thrive when they are supported."
"Like all students, they deserve respect, not relegation; dignity, not denigration. Michigan schools must continue to be places of safety and belonging for all students, irrespective of the politics of the moment."
"All means all."
"For a long time, this is basically all that schools have been focused on," notes Spencer Brown of Young America's Foundation (YAF). "Instead of focusing on educating the rising generation, they've been focusing on indoctrinating them."
He commends President Trump for wasting no time tackling this "serious issue for the future of our country." Still, he finds it "unsurprising" that the schools that have been so stuck in these radically leftist ways so long would forfeit federal funding and continue to do it.
"I do think it's interesting that they don't seem to have learned the lesson that they all should have last November, when it became pretty clear that the American people, and parents especially, were fed up with this one-sided, leftist, biased, radical education," Brown adds.
While the Biden administration spent millions on "LGBTQ inclusion" and "anti-racism and anti-oppression" in public schools, Brown says too many students were coerced or brainwashed into using chemical and/or surgical treatments to try and become the opposite sex.
He warns that if education, especially elementary education, is not corrected, then the "golden age" President Trump hopes to achieve will not be.
Trump has also signed orders declaring the federal recognition of only two genders, banning federal funds from going towards the “chemical and surgical mutilation” of children, and prohibiting men from competing in women’s sports.
Takeaway
God has a different view of human sexuality.
Leviticus 18 says:
Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion."
Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:"
And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants."
Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation nor any stranger that sojourneth among you."
Romans chapter 1 deals specifically with the issue of homosexual behavior. Read it.
Our children need to be taught the ways of the Lord, not indoctrinated and groomed in the ways of destruction.
