AP Out to Save the World from Trump and the U.S.

The Associated Press has strapped on their badge and six-shooter and is out to save the world from the United States, particularly from President Trump.

Their selective and biased reporting is aimed at Trump and his Administration.

The multiple stories AP delivered to news organizations nationwide yesterday were primarily negative toward Trump's agenda.

There are many, but I've focused on one AP story that seeks to undermine the president while casting doubt on our own country:

"Now, doubts about the U.S. as a reliable business partner have emerged in lawsuits over the administration’s abrupt cancellation of what Secretary of State Marco Rubio said were 83% of USAID contracts, forcing partner organizations to lay off workers and driving some out of business," the AP said.

Why should we care about what the AP says?

Be Informed, not misled.

We should care about what the Associated Press publishes and distributes daily because its articles go to thousands of local and national news services, which, for the most part, reproduce the exact stories in the newspaper, radio, television, and social media platforms.

Television and radio stations are often understaffed, and the journalists who work there are often lazy, so they publish what the AP produces.

RE the Associated Press

The Associated Press (AP) is a not-for-profit news cooperative owned by its American newspaper and broadcast members, meaning it is not privately owned or government-funded.

It's not-for-profit and cooperative, meaning it's owned by its members, which are U.S. newspapers and broadcasters.

It presents itself as an "Independent news organization."

They claim that "AP maintains its independence and focuses on factual reporting, uninfluenced by any single entity or government."

According to AP bylaws, the American newspaper and broadcast members elect a board of directors to provide corporate direction.

It is very much influenced by the ideology of the far Left and the Democrat Party, which are most often one and the same.

Yesterday, the AP outdid itself by telling the world that the United States is not to be trusted anymore.

The article

Let's walk through the story and be informed.

It began with, "Three European allies provided millions of dollars that the United States was supposed to spend for low-income countries. Then the Trump administration and Elon Musk’s government-cutters arrived."

They are telling the public everything was fine until Trump and Musk arrived.

They continued, "Government officials from Sweden, Norway, and the Netherlands told The Associated Press that a combined $15 million they contributed for joint development work overseas has been parked at the U.S. Agency for International Development for months."

This is one of the reasons Trump shut it down. However, the AP gives the distinct impression that Trump caused the problem. If he had left it alone, as other presidents have done, everything would have been just fine.

"After the Republican administration and Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency cut USAID’s funding and the bulk of its programs, the Europeans asked whether their money would be funneled to projects as expected or refunded," AP reports.

Throughout this featured article, they never address why Trump and Musk are doing what they are doing.

There is no mention of the massive fraud that has been taking place in our institutions—the "swamp," particularly under the Biden and Obama administrations. Most Americans had no idea of the depth of the fraud in USAID and most other government bureaus and institutions.

America, the richest and most prosperous country on Earth, is on track to go broke. Most respected money managers say that if we continue as we are with our spending, it is inevitable—sooner rather than later.

Most likely sooner.

Here are only a few examples from the White House of the WASTE and ABUSE:

  • $1.5 million to “advance diversity equity and inclusion in Serbia’s workplaces and business communities”
  • $70,000 for the production of a “DEI musical” in Ireland
  • $2.5 million for electric vehicles in Vietnam
  • $47,000 for a “transgender opera” in Colombia
  • $32,000 for a “transgender comic book” in Peru
  • $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala
  • $6 million to fund tourism in Egypt
  • Hundreds of thousands of dollars for a non-profit linked to designated terrorist organizations — even AFTER an inspector general launched an investigation
  • Millions to EcoHealth Alliance — which was involved in research at the Wuhan lab
  • Hundreds of thousands of meals that went to al Qaeda-affiliated fighters in Syria
  • Funding to print “personalized” contraceptives birth control devices in developing countries
  • Hundreds of millions of dollars to fund “irrigation canals, farming equipment, and even fertilizer used to support the unprecedented poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan,” benefiting the Taliban

I have been in most of these countries mentioned in Christian missionary ministry.

Not all, but many of the countries mentioned and many others not mentioned that are receiving billions of dollars in "aid" from the US are run by little dictators---some by other names---but dictators just the same. And they enrich themselves before their poor countrymen receive a dime.

I've seen it. In fact, people in some countries mentioned in the list have told me, "I wish the US would give their money to the people, not our leaders, because very little of it actually gets to us for the intended purpose."

The White House says, "The list literally goes on and on — and it has all been happening for decades."

This is only one government agency among many.

As AP concluded their "Nobody Trusts Trump's America" article, they said, "Growing steadily more alarmed by the administration’s foreign aid moves, Sweden, Norway and the Netherlands initially sent USAID emails inquiring about the money they had parked in USAID accounts."

Two of these three countries are now threatening President Trump that they will "take this story to the press if he doesn't refund their money."

AP says, "Trump and Musk call foreign assistance through USAID a fraud and scam."

They remind their reading audience, "Since the Cold War, the national security argument for developmental programs has been that making poorer countries more prosperous and stable lessens refugee flows and conflicts."

No one is calling properly placed, honest help for poorer nations a fraud, and AP knows that.

The president is calling the corrupt bureaucracies now co-opted to do what they were never intended to do a "Fraud." And a "Scam." Because they are.

Previous presidents from both Parties have, with strong voices, condemned the "corruption" in government. But have not lifted their hand to fix it.

Now we know why.

Takeaway

There is always a cost to doing the right thing.

Following the leading of the Holy Spirit and doing the right thing may not always seem convenient, and it’s not always easy, but it’s most definitely worth it! Because when you do what’s right because it’s right, you honor God. And the Bible says when you honor God, He will honor you (1 Samuel 2:30).

“Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me forever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.”

Thank God we have leadership that is trying to do the right thing---even at great personal cost.
