The headline reads, "Furious Washington State Mom Goes Viral for Pulling Daughter from School Over Anti-Ice Walkout."
The mother of a Washington State (Auburn) middle schooler has gone viral for a video showing her pulling her daughter from the school following an anti-ICE walkout.
The video shows the mother walking into the school as students stream out and gather on the front lawn.
“This is my daughter’s middle school being allowed to protest ICE agents. Disrupting traffic. Having everyone honk.”
“I’m pulling my daughter from school today.”
Be informed, not misled.
Via Gateway Pundit:
Once inside the building, she told the school administrators that she wanted to immediately withdraw her child, saying, “I am here to pull my child from the school right now.”
The flustered staff asked, “You want to withdraw her?”
“Yes,” she replied firmly.
While the school staff attempted to justify what was going on, the mother wasn’t having it, noting that the protest was disrupting her daughter’s education.
“This is unbelievable. I can’t believe my kid is in this environment right now. I’m blown away.”
“Can she be brought down to the office right now, please?” she continued.
A staff member replied, “We have everybody out there right now; we’ll get her for you.”
As the mom continues to express her dismay at the political activism forced on her child, another staff member attempts to justify the activity and says they can “explain” to her what they are doing.
Before they are able to launch into their justification, she reiterates her concern, “This is disrupting traffic and my child’s education.”
As they continued to justify the walkout, she asked, “What about my family?” She did not receive an answer.
She then expressed frustration at students who booed her as she walked toward the building, presumably because she did not honk her support.
Following the violence by anti-ICE agitators across the country, and the school’s very clear support of leftist activism, she requested an escort for her and her daughter because she was fearful for their safety.
“I’m telling you right now, this is going to be a huge problem, guys,” she warned. “I cannot believe my child is in this environment right now.”
”I am ashamed and embarrassed as a parent and as an adult.”
“I thought my kid was safe here.”
We should all be "ashamed and embarrassed" by what is going on in public education.
What started in Minnesota has spilled into multiple other states. This mother was in Auburn, Washington; however, student and teacher-led walk-outs are occurring all over the country.
The St. Paul Federation of Educators called for a protest, and soon schools across the country began allowing "remote learning" due to "weather."
Conservatives immediately called out the move as allowing students and teachers to organize anti-ICE protests.
Soon, the National Education Association (NEA), the largest teachers' union in the country, took the idea national, calling for nationwide "ICE out" protests.
According to the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment exams of 2025, fewer than half of the state's students are proficient in math and reading.
But they can chant left-wing slogans, play in traffic, and get tear-gassed on a school day.
The press is glamorizing demonstrators.
The Daily Caller says, "CNN is glamorizing two teen boys who skipped out on homeschooling so they could stalk ICE operations in Chicago."
They are. Here's their story:
"Sam and Ben Luhmann of Chicago, Illinois, are 'trained ICE watchers,' liberals who stalk federal immigration agents’ actions and hound them with horns and whistles," CNN reported. "In December, Sam filmed U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino during an operation in Illinois. They also spend their days following federal vehicles, jotting down license plate numbers, and sending agent locations to group chats.
CNN says, "Sam and Ben Luhmann are trained ICE watchers, documenting federal immigration agents’ actions with cell phone video and quickly warning of agents’ locations with whistles and car horns. Their efforts are reflective of a growing movement across the country as thousands of parents, teachers, clergy members, and community organizers have sought training on what they can legally do when they see an immigration arrest.
CNN does its best to label these two boys as heroes. They do their best to glamorize stalking ICE.
But these two brothers have second thoughts about being what the Leftist culture is trying to make of them.
“There’s a lot of things I’d rather be doing,” Sam, who enjoys fly fishing and tying his own ties, told the outlet. “It seems like all my time is being used on this, which I will never regret doing this because I feel like people have to do something.”
“I think it’s so wrong, and it’s hard to see that and just say, ‘It doesn’t personally affect me, so I’m gonna ignore it and let other people suffer the consequences,'” he went on. “This is happening, it’s not okay, and I’m gonna do something about it.”
However.
Takeaway
Ben, a high school senior, has begun writing essays for college applications, CNN noted. However, neither brother wants to go into documentary filmmaking or activism.
So, I guess if you want to get into an Ivy League these days, 4.0 GPA, perfect test scores, a patent or business to your name, and 20 hours per week of charity work through the local church won’t cut it anymore. You need to be a full-time anti-deportation activist and throw away precious days of your youth being a tool of the Democratic Party establishment.
Public education is committed to remaking our children in its own image, both in the classroom and on the streets of our cities.
It tries to "shape" students' character and behavior, acting as an engine for progressive social change rather than education.
Because of this effort, there is a loss of parental influence and control in students' lives. Mandatory attendance and standardized, state-mandated curriculum in government-run schools limit parents' ability to pass on their own values, effectively forcing a so-called "progressive" liberal agenda.
It was Vladimir Lenin who said, "Give me a child for the first 5 years of his life, and he will be mine forever."
Many parents find themselves in a position similar to that of the mother from Auburn, Washington, who said, “I cannot believe my child is in this environment right now.”
If your child or grandchild is in public school, you better believe they are "in this environment right now."
