The far-left New York Times is misleading the people again. This time, with what they refuse to publish.
It is spreading disinformation by refusing to report that the alleged Rhode Island ice hockey shooter was a transsexual.
Although the Times story is nearly 800 words long and required five so-called reporters, this obvious attempt to keep its readers ignorant of a vital fact is very revealing.
Be informed, not misled.
Local news reported this on Monday:
Two people were killed by a lone gunman in a shooting at the Dennis M. Lynch Arena, a local skating rink in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, and three others are in critical condition.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves confirmed that the shooter, identified as Robert Dorgan, who also went by the name Roberta Esposito, appears to have died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police have not identified any of the victims, but said that the shooting was "targeted" and appeared to be a family dispute.
Multiple jurisdictions, including the Rhode Island State Police, the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and several local police departments, responded to the incident on Monday afternoon, Feb. 16.
A video acquired by the Providence Journal from a service that offers live-streaming of sports events shows what appears to be a burst of roughly 13 shots in 6 seconds, and then one final shot, 11 seconds later, coming from an area off camera. It takes several shots before spectators and student athletes alike react, ducking down and seeking shelter before fleeing toward the exits.
FOX News pointed to an ATF source that indicated the shooting “stemmed from a domestic violence incident and turned into a murder-suicide.” It occurred during a high school hockey game.
The source said that the “gunman killed his wife and shot two of his kids before turning the gun on himself.” The gunman is reportedly deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Fox reported, "The source said the gunman killed his wife and shot two of his kids before turning the gun on himself. He shot his third child, who is currently hospitalized, the source said."
The New York Post reported, “Amid the chaos, some people could be seen fighting back against the gunman.”
A video focused more on the area where the shooting occurred appears to show a few people fighting back against the transgender shooter.
But the New York Times could not get it straight.
They could not bring themselves to tell the people the truth.
They could not inform the public that yet another "transgender" person had killed people he didn't like. In this case, his family.
The Daily Wire explained the tragedy with this:
Court records from 2020 confirm that Dorgan [ the shooter] had undergone gender reassignment surgery. Dorgan claimed to North Providence Police at the time that his father-in-law attempted to throw him out of the house following his surgery. Around that time, Dorgan’s wife filed for divorce, initially citing “gender reassignment surgery, narcissistic + personality disorder traits” as the reason before crossing them out and writing “irreconcilable differences.”
By all accounts, this was another trans killing that has destroyed a family and rocked a community.
And it is another testament to the destructive nature of the Leftist ideology and worldview.
Transgenderism is not normal. There are only two genders: Male and Female.
News organizations like the NYT continue to promote the lie by remaining silent.
The Daily Wire noted this:

This is the latest shooting perpetrated by a transgender-identifying attacker. Earlier this month, a man who identified as a woman and wore a dress killed 10 people at a Canadian school. Transgender-identifying shooters perpetrated deadly attacks on schools in Nashville in 2023 and in Minneapolis in 2025. The latter attack was the subject of the last question. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was asked when he was assassinated in September.
Kirk’s killer, Tyler Robinson, was, at the time of the attack, living with his “transgender partner,” a man named Lance Twiggs, who identifies as a woman. As The Daily Wire’s Mary Margaret Olohan reported this week, though the Trump administration was reportedly considering a ban on gun ownership for transgender-identifying people in the wake of the Minneapolis shooting, that ban has seemingly stalled. A source familiar with the Trump administration’s thinking said that the topic is not something that they have heard discussed since The Daily Wire’s original reporting in September.

Back in 2023, following the shooting at the Christian School in Nashville, the police refused to tell the public that the shooter was transgender.
When the public finally became aware, the Washington Post quickly published a defense for the trans community.
Their article began with this:
Conservative commentators and Republican politicians unleashed a new wave of anti-trans rhetoric following Monday’s shooting at a Nashville Christian school that killed six people, escalating a broader backlash to the rising visibility of transgender people in public life.
The attempts on the right to connect violence to transgender people come even though transgender people are rarely the perpetrators of mass shootings, which are overwhelmingly carried out by cisgender men, according to criminal justice experts.
The Post article is both long and dedicated to reversing the notion that there is any problem with trans people killing people they don't like.
In conclusion, the Washington Post claimed that anyone who didn't believe the narrative that trans people are the victims, not the perpetrators, is advancing "a cynical, bigoted attack.”

- Genesis 3:13: "And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
Don't taste the forbidden fruit. There is help and deliverance, but it is only found, not in covering and affirming the sin, but in the redeeming power of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
