Biden Appointed Judge Declares War With Truth In National Parks

An activist federal judge, appointed by President Biden in 2021, on Friday ordered President Donald Trump’s administration to restore exhibits at national parks featuring leftist ideology.

She is essentially declaring war on the Truth — trying to mislead the millions of people who will visit the parks this summer.

Fox News reported yesterday that U.S. District Judge Angel Kelley in Massachusetts issued a preliminary injunction reversing the changes and halting removals, the news coming after President Trump has worked to restore and preserve American heritage across the nation, Fox says.

Be informed, not misled.

The article said Kelley’s order aimed to restore exhibits and materials at national parks that included information about slavery, climate change, and other leftist ideology, which had been taken down following an executive order from President Trump in March of 2025.

The move comes amid the America 250 celebrations that will crescendo on July 4.

In a statement, the Interior Department called Kelley a "liberal activist judge" and said it was reviewing its options to appeal its removal of what Secretary Doug Burgum rebuked as "improper partisan ideology."

"This ruling is from a liberal activist judge," an Interior spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Sunday. "The Department will look at our appeal options while we celebrate UFC Freedom 250 on the South Lawn of the White House this weekend in honor of our nation’s 250th with the greatest president in the history of our country – President Donald J. Trump."

First, it was the classrooms of public schools; now the Left is trying to take over our beautiful America outdoors to continue their war on Truth.

Here's what's behind this attack on America's parks.

"Trump’s March 27, 2025 executive order, "Restoring Truth and Sanity to American History," sought to restore American heritage to national parks and monuments that were "changed to perpetuate a false reconstruction of American history" after the race riots of 2020 that might have ultimately helped fuel Biden's election.

Trump ordered Interior to "take action, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law," to ensure that all U.S. government descriptions and depictions do not "inappropriately disparage Americans past or living" – instead putting "focus on the greatness" of America.

While Kelley wrote that the plaintiffs had shown the administration’s actions were meant "to rewrite the Nation’s history with a white-out pen," Trump said he had issued the order because of the "false reconstruction" of U.S. history under Biden, the president who appointed her.

In his Executive Order, the President put it this way:

  • The prior administration advanced this corrosive ideology.  At Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — where our Nation declared that all men are created equal — the prior administration sponsored training by an organization that advocates dismantling “Western foundations” and “interrogating institutional racism” and pressured National Historical Park rangers that their racial identity should dictate how they convey history to visiting Americans because America is purportedly racist.

And there is this:

  • Once widely respected as a symbol of American excellence and a global icon of cultural achievement, the Smithsonian Institution has, in recent years, come under the influence of a divisive, race-centered ideology.  This shift has promoted narratives that portray American and Western values as inherently harmful and oppressive.  For example, the Smithsonian American Art Museum today features “The Shape of Power:  Stories of Race and American Sculpture,” an exhibit representing that “[s]ocieties including the United States have used race to establish and maintain systems of power, privilege, and disenfranchisement.”  The exhibit further claims that “sculpture has been a powerful tool in promoting scientific racism” and promotes the view that race is not a biological reality but a social construct, stating “Race is a human invention.”

The executive order pointed to the fact that former President Joe Biden’s (D) administration “advanced this corrosive ideology.”

“At Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania — where our Nation declared that all men are created equal — the prior administration sponsored training by an organization that advocates dismantling ‘Western foundations’ and ‘interrogating institutional racism’ and pressured National Historical Park rangers that their racial identity should dictate how they convey history to visiting Americans because America is purportedly racist,” the executive order stated.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture has proclaimed that “hard work,” “individualism,” and “the nuclear family” are aspects of “White culture.”

Sec. 4.  Restoring Truth in American History.

In Section four of the EO, the President said, The Secretary of the Interior shall:

  1. Determine whether, since January 1, 2020, public monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties within the Department of the Interior’s jurisdiction have been removed or changed to perpetuate a false reconstruction of American history, inappropriately minimize the value of certain historical events or figures, or include any other improper partisan ideology;
  2. take action to reinstate the pre-existing monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties, as appropriate and consistent with 43 U.S.C. 1451 et seq., 54 U.S.C. 100101 et seq.,and other applicable law; and
  3. take action, as appropriate and consistent with applicable law, to ensure that all public monuments, memorials, statues, markers, or similar properties within the Department of the Interior’s jurisdiction do not contain descriptions, depictions, or other content that inappropriately disparage Americans past or living (including persons living in colonial times), and instead focus on the greatness of the achievements and progress of the American people or, with respect to natural features, the beauty, abundance, and grandeur of the American landscape.

Takeaway

Following Trump’s 2025 executive order, “Among the materials Burgum’s Interior removed were an exhibit at Philadelphia’s Independence National Historical Park describing the ownership of enslaved people by George Washington, the nation’s first president, and signage detailing climate threats at Fort Sumter in South Carolina,” the outlet said, adding that “other changes denounced by leftist ideologues included the removal of a sign at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument in Arizona that included an image of a visitor holding a Pride flag, as well as the removal of films about labor history at Lowell National Historical Park in Massachusetts.”

In an effort to stop leftist ideology from affecting the nation’s history, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in August ordered the return of a Confederate memorial to Arlington National Cemetery, per Breitbart News.

“I’m proud to announce that Moses Ezekiel’s beautiful and historic sculpture — often referred to as ‘The Reconciliation Monument’ — will be rightfully returned to Arlington National Cemetery near his burial site. It never should have been taken down by woke lemmings. Unlike the Left, we don’t believe in erasing American history — we honor it,” he wrote in a social media post.
