Yes, the thing the Democrats tell us never happens has happened yet again. And, weirdly, it happened in a state that's been largely run by Democrats since well into the last century, although this latest "never happens" incident is apparently all Donald Trump's fault. Of course.
New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, revealed in a long, rambling X post Tuesday that 6,600 non-citizens were registered to vote in the Garden State due to a "serious software error" in the state's Motor Vehicle System.
Be informed, not misled.
Sherrill wrote that she became aware of the "error" last week that had "led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office."
She continued, "These individuals answered 'no' when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway."
Her entire long and rambling post is included at the end of this article.
Isn't it weird how those crazy software glitches keep showing up in our non-compromised voting system?
And why do these "glitches" always seem to default to registering non-citizens?
Making sure to put as much distance between the "error" and herself, the governor threw her Democrat predecessor, Phil Murphy, firmly under the bus, writing, "This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred."
Stunning and brave words from the woman who is actively refusing to cooperate with Department of Justice efforts to make sure state voter rolls are cleaned ahead of the midterm elections in November. Not to mention that she's been overseeing – and failing to quell – some of the most violent anti-ICE activity in the country.
Red State says, "In addition to Murphy – and, hey, it doesn't really matter who oversees these 'errors' as long as they benefit the Democrat Party – Sherrill knows who else is to blame here: 'As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections.'"
The timing of this revelation is interesting, no? Sherrill was seemingly finding out about the voter fraud in her state around the same time that President Trump was addressing the nation about the threats to the safety of our elections, even making public a treasure trove of downloadable documents to back up his claims.
The governor says she "ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024." You'll just have to trust her on this one, though, because she's not going to show you, me, New Jersey residents, or the Federal government a shred of evidence that she's doing anything to keep non-citizens off her state's voter rolls.
Takeaway
Media Research Center (MRC) on November 9, 2020, blasted Big Tech and Big Media for stealing the 2020 election by censoring news and information after they hid the Biden family scandals from the American people. And now Big Media and Big Tech are threatening democracy again.
"President Donald Trump unveiled damning new evidence implicating communist China in a plot to undermine American elections past and future in a recent speech," MRC said.
President Trump gave an abundance of support for the accusations he was making toward enemies of America...the media.
But before the speech was even given, the big networks began to undermine the president and his integrity.
MRC says, "Repeating similar methods from 2020, Big Media and Big Tech are at it again. Before Trump’s speech even began last evening, Big Media attacked the president’s credibility, with the Big Three broadcast networks (ABC News, CBS News and NBC News) and CNN flat-out refusing to preempt their programming to air Trump’s primetime speech in full without interruption. Meanwhile, Big Tech, via what the MRC calls the Big Four News Apps (Apple News, Google News, Microsoft’s MSN and Yahoo News), did its best to silence or distort the president’s message by amplifying reports made by Big Media in their top 20 morning feeds Friday. To top it off, the Big Four News Apps did not include a single story from an AllSides-rated right-leaning outlet to cover Trump's speech."
Among the Big Four News Apps, Microsoft’s MSN was arguably the worst. It did not even cover Trump’s address.
Here are some of the Leftist headlines:
- “Fact check: Trump revives US election fraud claims,” by DW, promoted July 17.
- “Here’s how the TV networks handled Trump’s highly unusual prime-time address,” by CNN, promoted July 17.
- “Trump alleges China meddled in 2020 election and questions voting security ahead of midterms,” by BBC, promoted July 17.
- “Takeaways From Trump’s Speech Claiming Election Vulnerabilities and China Interference,” by The New York Times, promoted July 17.
- “Takeaways from Trump's primetime speech. And, at least 2 dead in major Texas flooding,” by NPR, promoted July 17.
The other news aggregators were not far behind MSN in their effort to undermine democracy by dutifully regurgitating leftist talking points through the dissemination of stories from a wholly one-sided perspective—the left’s.
The nation was fed lies about a speech most of them never even got to hear.
We are living in times of confusion, lies, and deception.
Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Engaged. Be Bold. Be Prayerful.
This is Democrat Gov. Sherrill's entire statement:
Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office. These individuals answered "no" when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway.
This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred. I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system.
Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted. They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state.
I want to underscore how seriously I take this matter. As a military veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution, and as a former federal prosecutor, I believe the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy. I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time. This failure didn’t occur under my watch, but accountability starts now. I am taking action to prevent anything like it from occurring in the future and make sure those responsible are held accountable.
As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans' faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn't accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level.
The difference is simple: when we find a problem, we don't hide it, deny it, or invent conspiracies. We investigate it, we fix it, and we tell the public. That's what accountability and good governance look like, and that's exactly what my administration is doing.
New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections. That's my responsibility, and it's one I will never stop fighting to uphold.
