With midterm Election Day upon us, we will learn throughout the day what kind of government we, the people, have given ourselves.
Democrats have made affordability and President Donald Trump’s war with Iran central to their campaign.
But mostly it's been about expressing their hatred toward President Trump.
The issues are real. But it's really about "Trump" and their hatred for him as a person, not so much the issues.
To the Left, the issues are the props.
"Taking out Trump" is the goal.
Making Trump the issue, in the mind of the Leftists and Muslims, allows Democrats to avoid a more difficult question---at least in their minds.
What remains of the American nation after three decades of politics that treated its people chiefly as participants in a global economy?
Voters may punish Republicans in today's election results, but make no mistake: It's all about "Trump."
The Leftists have no vision for our country. Only hatred for a certain man.
And amassing personal power.
Be informed, not misled.
As I publish this early this morning —election day morning — neither you nor I know the outcome of this election.
We will learn throughout the day if "hatred" alone has won the election.
The Federalist says, "Voters may punish Republicans for expensive gas and another Middle East war. Still, winning on frustration alone will not tell Democrats how to govern a country that no longer feels like one nation."
"For much of Washington, America became a commercial enterprise with a flag: a destination for capital, labor, and competing private ambitions, with economic expansion presented as sufficient evidence of national progress. Democrats did not invent this outlook. They did, however, give it a powerful cultural dimension. Their increasingly cosmopolitan conception of America has too often elevated mobility, individual identity, and universal openness above the historical bonds that make a people conscious of a shared fate."
On December 2, 2024, the Alabama Daily News published an Associated Press article noting, "Democrats still don’t agree on the seriousness of their political problem after election defeat."
They didn't understand the seriousness of their problem, because they didn't then or now understand their problem.
They are still trying to advance a political agenda that didn't work for Karl Marx or those who followed him. And it won't work now because it stands against human nature.
In His creation of mankind, God did not create us that way--we aren't wired that way. We long for freedom---not bondage. We are willing to fight for freedom, but only when we've been fully indoctrinated are we willing to bow down to Marxism, socialism, and communism.
Founding Father Patrick Henry said it best: "Give me liberty or give me death."
And he said, "When people forget God, tyrants forge their chains."
To be blunt: For the Left, it's all about "the Left." For the Muslims, it's all about conquest by Muslims.
The Left has forgotten God. The Muslim leaders have never known Him.
This is the new cultural order that has been forged over the last several years.
For the uninformed, it's all about keeping you uninformed and being misled.
"In the last 30 or so years of Leftist ideologies, it is estimated that our country lost more than two million manufacturing jobs, including in places like Youngstown and Allentown. Import competition contributed to persistent employment and income losses in parts of the industrial heartland. The consequences did not end at the factory gates. When a plant closes, a family may lose the ability to remain in the town where grandparents worked, and children grew up. Main Street businesses lose customers. Civic institutions lose members. A lifetime of local attachments becomes a liability in an economy that rewards the ability to move."
The Democrat Party’s cultural politics compounded an economic mistake.
So-called Progressive leaders increasingly described America as an open-ended collection of identities and interests, while treating inherited national traditions as obstacles to be revised rather than a common inheritance to be sustained. Public schools began teaching the nation’s founding chiefly through its worst flaws. For years, party leaders also treated strict border enforcement as prejudice, appearing to change course only when migrants overwhelmed budgets in New York and Chicago. Even Biden’s factory subsidies were sold more as climate policy than as a way to keep working-class towns alive.
Via The Federalist:
Trump’s rise was a revolt against that neglect. For those of us who heard something meaningful in America First, the promise was not that one man would always be right. It was that Washington would stop treating the country as a platform for other people’s grand designs. American families, communities, and cultural continuity would finally rank ahead of the ambitions of the governing class.
Democrats may gain politically from the war, but opposition to Trump supplies no answer to their own crisis of national identity. Republicans cannot repair that failure by repeating the foreign-policy habits they once denounced.
A politics built around belonging would start with different priorities. Trade and industrial policy should be judged by whether families can stay in their hometowns and earn enough to raise children, not just by cheaper imports or stock prices. For Democrats, it also means admitting that shared national life requires real borders, a common language, and schools that pass down American history with some affection.
Patriotism.
The Federalist article concludes: "The choice that matters is not simply between two parties. It is between a Washington that measures America by the markets it can enter and the conflicts it can manage, and a politics that remembers the country is a home before it is a global enterprise.
Takeaway
Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish."
Here's what that verse means:
- The word for "vision" (chazown): This refers to divine revelation or a prophetic message from God—not a personal, corporate, or life goal.
- The Warning: When people do not have or listen to God's word and instruction, they throw off moral restraint and fall into chaos and perish or "run wild."
- The Blessing: True joy and stability come to those who respect, follow, and keep God’s law/instruction (torah).
The rest of the verse says, "but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Engaged. Be Happy. Be Prayerful.
