Ballard High School Assists in Abortion for 15-Year-Old

A 15-year-old girl was given a pass at Ballard High School, put in a taxi, and sent off to have an abortion during school hours.

All without her parents knowledge, much less their consent.

Her mother, whom
KOMO NEWS calls "Jill" said, "We had no idea this was being facilitated on campus."

The mother also said, "They just told her that if she concealed it from her family that it would be free of charge and no financial responsibility."

Swedish Hospital refused to comment on the matter, however T.J. Cosgrove of the King County Health Department, who administers the school based health programs, told KOMO it is always best if parents are involved in their children's health care, but don't always have a say."

What? Something is very wrong with this. It would be great if you knew when your 15-year-old was getting an abortion while at school, but we can't tell you?

Cosgrove said, "At any age in the state of Washington, an individual can consent to a termination of pregnancy."

The mother said, "Makes me feel like my rights were completely stripped away."

Indeed they have been.

Did you know that a bill, 1688, was introduced this session that specifically addressed under age abortion. The majority leadership didn't have time or interest to move the bill. It died in committee.

One more reason why we must elect new leadership.

God help the children and God help us to do what is right.

Be Vigilant.
