Is The American Promise Slipping Away?

There is a growing sense among Americans that something is wrong---very wrong, with the direction our country is moving. Both polls and public outcry reflect the deep discontent.

Our culture is being remade in the image of secular socialism. The very beliefs our Founders fled.

The military has become a social experiment, with the pending repeal of homosexual policies. Marriage (DOMA) is under assault by this administration as it promises to redefine marriage and abortion is being expanded by this administration while the President tells the American people he wants to reduce the number of abortions.

Public education is, too often, used as a vehicle of indoctrination for pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and pro-secular socialist, anti-American and anti-Christian agendas.

Immigration, once a pillar of sustainability for our country, has been turned on its head through refusal to enforce immigration laws---now deeply dividing the country.

President Obama has created more debt in his brief tenure as president than all presidents from George Washington to George W. Bush---combined. He has willing accomplices in the Congressional majority.

Do you still think you need not become involved?

Take a look at this from the Drudge Report:

TOPS $13,000,000,000,000;

Now click here and spend a minute watching in real time, the National Debt Clock.

After watching the clock, do you still lack urgency or feel no need to become involved with upcoming elections?

Be Informed. Be Vocal. Be Active. Be Discerning. Be Blessed.

  1. I just clicked on the national debt clock you linked. It is stunning. I don't know what to say except "help". Thanks Gary.

  2. Where was Faith and Freedom when the Bush administration racked up our nation's debt, after Clinton put us in the black?

  3. Publik edukation: I graduated from a public high school in 1979. Besides teaching "to the test," the majority of my high school teachers were more interested in their ideology than my academics. We were educated by a self-proclaimed: Marxist who taught Pacific Northwest history; Socialist for U.S. history; Feminist for literature -- as only three examples. After I graduated, I was very surprised to learn 1) that George Washington actually prayed for God's providence upon our country; 2) that killing unborn babies was not included in the U.S. Constitution; 3) that the words 'separation of church and state' do not exist in any founding documents, let alone the notion that people of faith shouldn't be elected to office; 4) that my high school ripped me off by telling me "what" to think, instead of teaching me how to analyze and think for myself; and finally, 5) I was surprised that my parents didn't know we were verbally "intimidated" (to put it mildly) in class if we expressed opinions contrary to the Marxist / Socialist / Feminist views of our teachers. They sent me to this place, therefore this must be "ok," right? It took a lot of work after graduating to learn the truth about the U.S.A. -- sometimes in disbelief because the publik teachers had done such a good job. To say that our public schools are "vehicles of indoctrination" is an understatement.

  4. Sometimes a call for help is the best cry we can make. God help us!

Let's ask TBN and Daystar if they will do a money raise-a-thon or whatever they want to call it for this nation.

Let's pray to God. Many in this nation have given for the gospel.
For those of us who have, let's ask God to save this nation from it's debts, the moral ones first, and then the financial ones.

Years ago I was concerned about the national debt and found an address where I could send a check to help bring it down and I did do. It was only a portion of a carpenter's paycheck, but soon I saw President Clinton take hold of the budget and he brought the spending down. Praise be to God.

  5. ehhh 1117

Bill Clinton was President while the Congress put this county on a budget. And compared to Bush 2 you have a a President who I agree was much more practicial. Don't ask don't tell , etc You do realize who spends the money under the Constitution ?

  6. Another clock to watch....30 days (as of May 31st). The number of days, at most, until a decision in Doe v. Reed. Reed will win. Sorry, but he will.
