Presidential Seal Falls Off President's Lectern

Something for a Friday smile and something not so funny.

First, about half way through his speech to Fortune magazine's "Most Powerful Women Summit" at Carnegie Mellon Auditorium, this past Tuesday, the
presidential seal fell off President Obama's lectern clattering to the stage in front of him.

The President laughed and said, "That's all right, all of you know who I am." He suggested someone back stage might be nervous---"sweating bullets."

The picture is worth a thousand or more words.

Many are making much of this---symbolic, a sign, a divine message, etc.

Personally, I think George Bush did it.

On a more somber note. New unemployment numbers are out today.
Gallup, not known to be politically conservative, say unemployment is higher than the government is reporting. They say it is up sharply from 9.3% in August to 10.1% in September.

They also say underemployment is at 18.8%, up from 18.6% at the end of August.

Evidently we are not heading in the right direction, as we are being told by the President and the press.

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Active. Be Blessed.
