The Health Education Office of Seattle Public Schools, along with Superintendent Marie Goodloe-Johnson is inviting the public to join them in their gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender family dinner, Thursday, November 4, from 6 to 8 PM at NOVA/SBOC school on the East side of Capitol Hill. I have linked the invitation.

The dinner is complimentary, underwritten by donations from the community. We would be interested to see the list of donors.

Those attending are told to expect craft tables for younger attendees and greetings from members of the school board and members of the district staff.

They promise it will be well attended and you should make your reservation early.

Would you consider attending this event?

No, we are not promoting it, but asking if several spiritually mature, adult couples from our readers would consider attending. We would ask you to merely observe. This will not be the typical wild, perverted kind of event we all have witnessed through news coverage of the so-called "gay pride parade," rather it will likely be a laid back "fun" family time environment.

The tone will be designed to promote the "normalcy" of the behavior and affirming of those attending or represented.

Prayerfully consider this. It isn't for everyone, but if you feel led to attend, we are asking you to personally contact me by
email and let me know you will plan to attend. I will ask you to identify yourself to me for obvious reasons. We would like you to give us your assessment of the event. I will not disclose your name or any other personal information in sharing your insights with me after the event.

I would like you and others to see first hand the culture and subtleties of what our kids and grandkids face every day in the public classroom---the normalcy attached to gay, lesbian, bi-sexual and transgender sexual behavior.

Thank you for giving this assignment consideration.
