Many of us remember Kirk Cameron from his younger days on the television show, "Growing Pains," but the world is getting to know him as a courageous and articulate Christian.

He is under attack for his beliefs. And is responding with class.

Kirk has produced a unique live/filmed presentation that will be shown in theaters across the country this next Tuesday, March 27.

This is the way they are promoting and explaining the event:

On Tuesday, March 27, Fathom Events and Kirk Cameron present a LIVE one-night theatrical event that will inspire audiences to rediscover the people and principles that made America the strongest, most free and prosperous nation on earth.

In Monumental: In Search of America’s National Treasure Live, actor Kirk Cameron will take audiences on a journey through live conversations with special guests, live music from top artists, and his labor of love Monumental.

Monumental traces the heroic and harrowing travels of the early Pilgrims and encounters the unlikely men and women who risked everything for liberty.

Experience the stories of faith that guided education, government and civic life and hear from inspiring leaders on simple and practical ways to keep America’s ideals alive, beginning at home. Join us for this high-energy patriotic event that will unite audiences in a celebration of America's story of faith and freedom!

I am strongly recommending you see it if possible.

He has been touring various media outlets lately promoting his film. In a number of cases, before Kirk could talk about his film, the host would attack Kirk's personal beliefs---particularly his belief that marriage is only between one man and one woman.

Here is an example. An interview with Ann Curry on NBC's Today Show. Her line of questioning affirms what most of you already know---the media bias against those who believe in natural marriage.

Unable to get Kirk to walk back his belief on marriage, Curry suggested that his views "might encourage people to mistreat people." With a smile Cameron said, "Nobody should mistreat anyone."

Later on NBC, Hoda Kotb, asked Cameron if he could go back in time would he answer the same question about marriage in the same way, referring to his interview on the Piers Morgan Show on MSNBC. Kirk replied, "I have been consistent for 15 years as a Christian. I'm a Bible believing Christian. What I would have thought was more news worthy is if I had said something that contradicted the Word of God, if I had contradicted my faith."

Can you imagine anyone in the media asking candidate Barack Obama that question when he told America he believed that marriage was between a man and a woman?
