KOMO News is reporting that R-74 has indeed qualified for the November ballot, but they are also quoting a poll by Strategies 360 that predicts we will lose because according to their poll, "54% of voters think it should be legal for same-sex couples to get married."

Their prediction was carried in nationwide news coverage on June 6 in the New York Times, Washington Post, etc.

However, they add, "The poll didn't specifically ask them how they would vote on a referendum."

Therein is the crux of the matter.

Due to social pressure applied by political correctness, activist "educators" and a media intent on redefining marriage, people have been called haters, bigots, bullies and worse if they fail to support redefining marriage to accommodate a sexual behavior. Because of this, many voters are hesitant to express their personal feelings on the matter to a polling company.

Polls are also driven by what questions are asked and how they are asked.

A number of polls in a number of states have shown that "the voters" feel homosexual couples should be able to "marry," however when it has gone to a vote of the people---in every case the voters have rejected the notion of redefining marriage.

As you know, 247,331 signatures---twice the number required, were turned in to put the issue on the ballot.

Now the battle for marriage begins.

Thank you again, to all the Friends of Faith and Freedom who worked with us and the other organizations to gather this record setting number of signatures.

May God help us all as we move forward over the next few months, to protect and preserve marriage as between one man and one woman.

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Active. Be Blessed.
