Obama: "I'm Here To Fix It"

The Weekly Standard carried a story yesterday that reminded me of something Ronald Reagan said during his presidency.

President Obama stood in front of a damaged church in a damaged neighborhood in New York and told the people he wanted them to know he was there to "fix" their problems.

As you watch the news from New York and the surrounding area this weekend, please remember what Reagan once said.

This is a link to the YouTube video of Reagan's comments.

Have a great weekend. And don't wait for the President to fix anything for you.

Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful. Be Active. Be Blessed.

  1. As we're entering budget negotiations, it's also worth noting that Reagan said the following:

"Social Security has nothing to do with the deficit. Social Security is totally funded by the payroll tax ... if you reduce the outflow of Social Security, that money would not go into the general fund to reduce the deficit."

  2. Those who ran for president said they wanted to fix Washington.

How often is the answer we need found at the cross? Always.

So how can a president fix Washington?

Suppose he talked to congress about all the things he tried to fix and showed them how much it cost Americans as well as how it did not fix much, if anything? Suppose he did this in honesty and humility. Suppose this talk went on for hours.

  3. Obama and all who stand behind you, you are too drunk (on power). Go home.

    1. Sorry, the winner is not the one to go home.
