Obama To Planned Parenthood: "Thank You And God Bless You"

President Obama gave a 12-minute speech to Planned Parenthood's annual gala this past Friday.

The fact that a sitting president of the United States even gave a speech to Planned Parenthood is profoundly disappointing and telling. This is a first in the history of America.

Not only is his presence troubling, his words are even more so.

In conclusion, the President told Planned Parenthood, "Thank you and God bless you."

God bless you?

The President said those who are pro-life are trying to take the country back to the 1950's. Let's take a look at the 50's.

I also have a follow up story to Friday's Blog and radio comments regarding dependency in America that is almost unbelievable.

More of President Obama's invoking God's blessing on Planned Parenthood in a moment, but first a follow up to Friday.

If you didn't read the Blog or listen to the radio program, please take a moment and read it.

Judicial Watch has broken a story on the further extent our government is going to in their attempt to enroll people in food stamps.

Judicial Watch has discovered that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) is working with the Mexican government to promote participation by illegal aliens in the US Food Stamp program.

This is stunning. I have linked the Judicial Watch story, please take a moment and read it.

During the President's 12-minute speech to Planned Parenthood, 7.6 babies were aborted by the abortion giant. According to their own records, they kill a child every 94 seconds.

What the man who holds the most powerful office in the world said was equally destructive.

The President vowed he would never allow Republicans to cut taxpayer funding to the abortion behemoth.

He said, "If there's one thing the past few years have shown is that Planned Parenthood isn't going anywhere. It's not going anywhere today, it's not going anywhere tomorrow."

There was a standing, roaring ovation.

The President said, "Everybody sit down, you're making me blush."

He criticized the 42 states that have introduced laws to restrict abortion and sharply criticized North Dakota for their recently passed law banning abortions after 6 weeks, mocking them he said, "A woman may not even know if she is pregnant at 6 weeks."

He also mocked Mississippi for attempting to pass a "personhood" initiative this past election that would have defined life as beginning at fertilization. The effort was defeated, but pro-life advocates are planning another attempt in 2014 or 2015. May God help them.

Obama said of the Christian, pro-life citizens in the state, "Mississippi is a conservative state, but they wanted to make clear there's nothing conservative about the government injecting itself into decisions best made between a woman and her doctor."

He told Planned Parenthood, "You've got a President who's going to be right there with you every step of the way."

There was, of course, no mention of the murderous Dr. Gosnell trial in the President's remarks.

However a short walk up the street, Rep. Diane Black (R-Tenn.) took to the House floor and on the record condemned the late term abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell saying, "May God forgive us."

She said on the Congressional record, "But Gosnell did not act alone, he had a host of silent co-conspirators who referred women to his practice knowing full well of the horrors that went on behind those closed doors. And meanwhile, the State boards gave Gosnell a free pass for 17 years by failing to inspect the clinic."

Rep. Black condemned President Obama for not speaking out against Gosnell, who according to court records and documents, killed "hundreds" of babies by snipping their spinal cords.

She said, "Where is your outrage, Mr. President?"

There is no outrage, only a heinous attempt to invoke God's blessing on such activities, and an admission of blushing from the adoration of the people.

Friday may be the ultimate example of one of Barack Obama's strongest moral priorities.

There is a twisted sense of reality about all this. Is this happening in America--one nation under God?

The President told Planned Parenthood, "The fact is, after decades of progress, there are still those who want to turn back the clock to policies more suited to the 1950's than the 21st Century."

Red State decided to take a look at the morality of the 1950's that the President spoke of.

Their article says the US illegitimate rates have risen exponentially since the 1950's. They included a couple of very telling graphs in the story linked above.

Red State found that we have seen a spike in illegitimacy in the US from about 10% in the 50's to about 30% now.

In 1950, we had a birth rate of 24-1 per 1000 Americans of which about 5%, or around 1.2 per 1000, were born out of wedlock. The other 22.9 were born to 2 parent families.

In 2009, we had around 30% illegitimate births and 13.8 live births per 1000 Americans. This means 4.2 or so of those kids per 1000 Americans were illegitimate and 9.6 per 1000 were born into a traditional family.

The big change between 1950 and now is that the traditional family declined in power. And crime has skyrocketed, while moral foundations are crumbling. And the church is too often addressing personal self esteem.

A president who wanted America to remain strong and viable into the future could not, and would not go to Margaret Sanger's Planned Parenthood and celebrate an organization that is strongly contributing to the decline of this country.

If President Obama means what he said this past Friday, then he is deliberately profaning everything that has come before us in America---our Founding Faith, our Founding Documents, our Founding Fathers themselves---all were attached to biblical principles and the sanctity of life.

Where better to hold a black mass, insulting the virtue of this country, than the abortuary of Planned Parenthood?

This was the ultimate insult to biblical Christians and pro-life advocates when the President of the United States of America attempted to invoke the blessing of Almighty God, the Giver and Creator of life, to somehow bless the world's most prolific killer of the unborn---and sometimes born, children.

Are you aware that 6.4 million self described "evangelicals" voted for Mr. Obama in November?

Did you know that only about 32 million "evangelicals" even bothered to vote? This is about half the number of self described "evangelicals" in the country.

There is work to do.

May God help us.
