69% Of Democrats: "Trump Greater Threat Than North Korea"

Nearly 7 out of 10 progressives say they believe President Trump is a greater threat to America than North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-Un who has threatened to use nuclear weapons on America.

Really?

The controversy and anger surrounding professional football players disrespecting our flag and our country continue to boil across America. The NRA has released a television ad featuring spokesman and veteran Navy Seal Dom Raso who says in part we will not take a knee after heroes "charged into battle through bombs and bullets..."

This is the entire text of the one-minute ad:

For the land of the free and the home of the brave, from high school gyms to towering stadiums, every time I see our flag wave, I feel a humbling reminder of the brave who keep — and have kept — us free. I stand to honor the sacrifices of the generations before me — heroes who charged into battle through bombs and bullets, who lost their brothers and still pushed through — fighting for every inch of our freedom.I stand for my brothers who can’t stand anymore — men who hunted terrorists to the ends of the earth, who sacrificed their bodies and their lives so that we could peacefully live ours. I stand for the children, the spouses, and parents whose family made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We are all standing. We are the National Rifle Association of America and we are freedom’s safest place.

On our radio program today, we'll also be talking about Alabama's election yesterday, and what the outcome reveals about what is happening in America today. Join me live from anywhere in the world at 9 AM PDT. Here's how.

And remember our kids in prayer today. Millions of high school students will be "meeting at the pole"---the flag pole, at their school, to exercise their freedom to pray to God. Wherever you are today---stand with them in prayer.

Why do nearly 7 of 10 progressive Left people say they think President Trump is a greater threat to America than North Korea's dictator Kim Jong-Un, who has bombs and rockets capable of carrying them--- and has been demonstrating his ability to fire them, while threatening to attack the United States with nuclear weapons--- which he has?

A Rasmussen survey published yesterday found that 69% of Democrats and unaffiliated voters rate the president a greater threat to America than "Rocket Man," as President Trump has called him.

Only 74% of Republicans think North Korea is the greater threat. What do the other 26% of Republicans think? Do they agree with the progressives?

The easy answer is that the progressive Left disagree with President Trump's policies and they don't believe Jong-Un will actually attack us anyway.

That's the kind of denial expressed by some leaders in Europe in the late 1930s and early 1940s. Adolf who?

I know...North Korea isn't Germany. But dictators are dictators.

While that may certainly be a part of their thinking, it runs much deeper than that.

The Left hates the president's agenda and will do most anything to undermine it.

Let's start with the 26% of Republicans.

Allen West wrote a column Monday titled, "Relentless Left, Retreating Republicans" in which he took on his own party for their failure to repeal and replace Obamacare. It's very good. I recommend you read it.

In his comments, he notes that some, including current Republican leadership, is "timid, reticent, recalcitrant, and just plain afraid to go toe to toe with the Left."

He says, "They run and hide because of the media and the collective aggregation of the cultural, academic, and entertainment elites when they should be on full-scale attack, going on the offense."

He asks if anyone can feature a Democrat-controlled Congress allowing for hearings against Barack Obama, then answers his own question: "They didn't. Harry Reid wouldn't allow it"

West, himself a black man and military veteran, reminds his readers that it was Barack Obama who said the "Republicans can get on in the back of the bus."

West says it all comes down to a question of, "Does today's Republican Party want to fight for our constitutional conservative principles and values?"

And continues by asking, "What exactly is the philosophical core of the Republican Party, the establishment? Are they just a lesser version of progressive socialists...just drop the socialist moniker?"

He asks, "How does today's Republican Party see the relationship between the institution of government and the individual American citizen, which one is sovereign?"

Republican leadership may be timid, but I believe they are more complacent than timid. And comfortable.

Politics was once called "public service," where citizens came to DC to serve their peers and country, then returned to the real world and their real job. It is now an excellent career opportunity with excellent pay, great benefits and nearly unrestrained opportunity to grow personal wealth.

Anything that rocks that boat is feared---and opposed. Trump rocks that boat.

Perhaps that speaks to the 26%. At least in part.

But what about the 69% who are more honest and forthright about their political philosophy, admitting they are actually progressive Left Democrats? And they fear Trump more than Jong-Un?

The nearly 7 in 10 who say they are more fearful of Trump than Jong-Un, are apparently more committed to advancing a far Left social agenda than protecting Americans who could be killed by bombs launched by a desperate, isolated, ego-driven son of a dictator.

The cause at any cost. Or, the end justifies the means.

I have never seen a similar response from Christian conservatives. Even during the presidency of Obama.

President Trump, to the best of his ability, is dismantling the secular, far Left framework President Obama worked tirelessly to create in his attempt to remake America.

Even the biased New York Times and its sibling liberal newspapers across the country recognize that Trump has appointed the most conservative, evangelical Christian cabinet in the history of our nation. I've written about this before. You know their names.

This strikes fear into the hearts of those who are committed to "fundamentally remaking America."

These folks are busy revising history, destroying even the statues and monuments that represent America's past, while indoctrinating our children in public, government-run classrooms.

They are obsessed with inverting Truth---even using what our Founders intended as a protection from government interference in the Church as a tool to drive God and His Church from public life---calling it separation of church and state.

The far Left elites are discovering the Constitution of the United States even gives them license to change the more than 5000-year-old definition of marriage---an institution established by God Himself at creation and affirmed by every major religion in the history of the world.

Biblical marriage between one man and one woman is God's model for human sustainability which predates all organized societies.

The Supreme Court ruling of 5-4 on the Obergefell v. Hodges decision in 2015 found in our Constitution the right to homosexual marriage--- 230 years after the Articles of Confederation was signed in 1787.

Apparently, this "right" was concealed from those who actually drafted the document---and those who followed it until the far Left progressive movement seized control of the culture.

The ideology of the secular Left stands in stark resistance to a biblical worldview.

That ideology essentially represents what God hates. Proverbs 6: 16-19 provides the list:

These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:

  • A proud look,
  • A lying tongue,
  • Hands that shed innocent blood,
  • A heart that devises wicked plans,
  • Feet that are swift in running to evil,
  • A false witness who speaks lies,
  • And one who sows discord among brethren.

Two very different agendas. One based on biblical Truth and submission to Jesus Christ as Lord.

The other on relativism, humanism, and often paganism. And most often rebellion.

As Joshua (24:15) famously said, "And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

That is the question of our times as well. Whether it is our kids and grandkids going to a flagpole to pray in front of their peers, or adults deciding to take a public stand in the culture for righteousness... people are choosing this day whom they will serve.

Be Informed. Be Bold. Be Faithful. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful.
