The Left Bets the Ranch on Illegal Immigration

With one of the most important mid-term elections in our lifetime only 15 days away, thousands of migrants are flowing toward our southern border---the press calls it the "caravan"---most planning to enter the U.S. illegally because it's their "right."

The secular progressive Left Democratic Party has joined the misguided religious Left in cheerleading the event ---hoping conservatives will be seen as uncaring, insensitive and not compassionate if they try to stop them.

The Left has bet the ranch on their belief that this issue will give them the election.

But yesterday. they began having doubts.

The secular Left progressive, globalist, Democratic Party that has little to nothing to offer America other than being anti-Trump and pro-socialism, has seized "illegal immigration" as an issue, claiming it's a "right."

And together with the misguided religious Left, they are hoping "compassionate" voters will defeat those who believe in the sovereignty of the United States.

Thousands have moved through Guatemala, crossing the southern border of Mexico yesterday.

Coming to America.

President Trump said yesterday on Twitter:
"Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador were not able to do the job of stopping people from leaving their country and coming illegally to the U.S. We will now begin cutting off, or substantially reducing the massive foreign aid routinely given to them."

Those 3 countries receive about $500 million each year from the U.S.

My friend and national talk show host, Lars Larson said this yesterday:

The invasion of America that began right after Congress passed the last illegal alien amnesty 32 years ago now has a new leading wave. Reports say so called “refugees” now number 7 thousand or more and they’re marching toward the United States. Members of the Democrat Party cheer this news as they see voters in that crowd from Honduras and Guatemala. President Trump says it must be stopped and I agree with him. Over the weekend Youtube videos showed a crowd of thousands as they broke through barricades and filled a bridge into Mexico. They make no secret that the next border they plan to breech is our border. Most won’t qualify for refugee status under U.S. law but it won’t matter now that American democrats have pressured President Trump to drop zero tolerance at the border. And try this math. It’s 2-thousand miles from Mexico’s Southern border to El Paso which might take three months on foot...but you wanna bet they make it here before the elections two weeks from tomorrow? Democrats think this will show the cruelty of Trump immigration policy but i think American voters will see a horde of people crashing through the border.

Associated Press and other news organization are focusing on the blistered feet and other deprivations of the travelers. Describing how the migrants are worn down each evening by the "blistering heat."

It is sad and it's touching. And it ought not to be. These people are being used.

The media is focusing on the fact that the migrants are sleeping on rain-soaked cement along the highway they are traveling. And quoting the migrants as they express their hope to come to America to "get a job" or "find a new life" or as Ana Luisa Espana, a clothes washer from Guatemala said, "The goal is to reach the (US) border." To get there she said, "We would do anything, except bad things."

Whose heart is not touched by that? Mine is. I've spent considerable time in the cities and villages of El Salvador, Honduras, and Guatemala---living with the people, preaching the gospel and establishing local Christian churches.

Most of these people are good and decent people, and they deserve the truth.

But they have not been given the truth. They have been misled by a calculating globalist secular Left who has told them that if they just get to the border, they will be able to enter the promised land.

The Left is using their power to make pawns of the poor.

But not all in the caravan are who they appear to be.

A Mexican reporter who is embedded in the caravan says there are people in the migration who are not from Central America---he has met people from as far away as Bangladesh.

And all who are coming to America do not love America. AP, in one of their news stories, included an image of two people burning a U.S. flag during a protest for the caravan in front of the U.S. Embassy in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

It appears this caravan "issue," as the Left likes to call it, is not working. And apparently, the Left is having doubts about their predicted "blue wave" in the mid-term election.

Bernie Sanders said this weekend, "I know a lot of people talk about the blue wave and all that stuff, but I didn't believe in it---it's going to be a very, very close situation---a few votes will make the difference."

One thing the Left does well is pivot on issues. If one "truth" isn't working, pick another "truth." Bernie was actually talking positively about the coming blue wave---but that was when he thought the caravan issue was going to work.

Democratic leaders Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer apparently don't think the caravan issue is working either.

Yesterday they issued a statement to all Democratic candidates telling them to stop talking about the caravan---"Don't mention it in your campaign speeches. Ignore it. Ignore people's concerns about illegal immigration. Don't engage."

I have explained many times in this Faith and Freedom Daily column the biblical position on illegal immigration, the Bible outlines God's plan for nations, and His plan includes controlled borders and national sovereignty.

The religious Left is wrong on biblical teaching, and apparently, the political Left is wrong on betting the ranch that people would vote for them when they saw the illegal masses turned back at our southern border.

President Trump says they are not crossing.

These are trying times.

The election is about 2 weeks away.

Should the Democrats take control of either the House or the Senate, it would greatly impede the president's conservative, pro-Christian agenda...and clearly impact the next nomination to the Supreme Court.

Be Prayerful. Be Informed. Vote.
