Homosexual presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, who claims to be a "progressive Christian," says that it's hard to look at the actions of President Trump and think he believes in God.
And he says, regarding conservative Christians, they are "saying so much about what Christ said, so little about...Like the issue of abortion."
And homosexual behavior.
Not only will the institutions of our country be challenged in the 2020 election, but traditional biblical beliefs will be assaulted---in the name of the "Lord"---for the sake of political gain.

In a featured op-ed yesterday, USA Today laid out the narrative of the 2020 presidential election.
As we said yesterday on our live radio program, which can be heard on the radio and online, and wrote in our Faith and Freedom Daily article that this upcoming presidential election will see the use of God and His Word twisted to support things that are not biblical in ways we have never experienced in America.
Yesterday we noted the messianic aura being created around candidate Beto O'Rourke by the news media---today, its candidate Pete Buttigieg.
About this Christian candidate.
Kirsten Powers, writing in USA Today, says, "Mayor Pete, [mayor of South Bend, Indiana] as he is affectionately called, held last place in the January polls."
Now he is on the rise. He brought in over $7 million in first quarter fundraising, and is in third place in polling in Iowa. People are lining up behind him, she writes. He has "wowed Democrats with his mastery of policy issues and Midwestern charm. He's a military veteran who served in Afghanistan, a Rhodes scholar and speaks 7 languages."
She continues: "He has also stood out as a devoted Christian who is speaking against the dominance of the religious right in the public square."
"Mayor Pete" has also been married to his husband, Chasten, since last June.
His beliefs mirror those of most religious Left progressives.
Kirsten says Buttigieg told her Friday:
"The Left is rightly committed to a separation of church and state....but we need to not be afraid to invoke arguments that are convincing on why Christian faith is going to point you in a progressive direction."
Pete criticized right-wing Christians for "saying so much about what Christ said so little about what he said so much about."
He explained. "Saying so much about what Christ said so little about" applies to the "religious right's treatment of abortion as a litmus test for Christian faith, when in fact Jesus never mentioned the issue."
He says,
"That omission has not stopped many right-wing Christians from using Trump's anti-abortion rights judicial appointments as a president's 'get out of jail free card', and a license for them to support a leader who consistently behaves in a way that is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus."
Buttigieg is a homosexual. He was married to his husband in the Episcopal Church he attends.
He urges those who support LGBTQ rights to attempt to "win" over those on the right, rather than trying to force them to comply. He calls that "preaching grace."
He says:
"We obviously want them to change...I want some kind of healing to go on, so that they can recognize...that our marriages are just as good as theirs. Because people who are on what I would call the wrong side of this issue and of history, probably don't think of themselves as hateful."
Buttigieg then made the typical religious Left case for social justice---Kirsten dutifully reported and embellished it.
Mayor Pete mentioned that there is a lot of people who agree---there's a lot of groups that have been on this path for some time, but he advocates giving them more visibility going forward.
He's right. The religious Left has been around for some time, and yes, there are a lot of them circulating through Christian churches misrepresenting biblical truth.
Kirsten Powers explains that he is referring to a "burgeoning Christian Left led by pastors and writers like Jim Wallis, the Rev. William J. Barber II, Rachel Held Evans, the Rev. James Martin, Lisa Sharon Harper, Diana Butler Bass, and many others."
Powers, who was formerly with Fox News and now with CNN---who considers herself to be progressive Christian--- says the right get so much press that the public becomes gullible and believes that the Christian right is the arbiters of biblical interpretation, especially as it relates to what she calls "hot button" issues. "Because of this, many Americans aren't even aware of the rich tradition of progressive Christianity."
If the sanctity of life and human sexuality are considered "hot button" issues---it's not about what the Left or the Right says--- it's about what the Bible says.
Abortion is killing unwanted unborn babies: "Thou shall not murder" (Exodus 20:13).
Homosexual behavior is an abomination: "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female: It's an abomination" (Leviticus 18:22).
Does Buttigieg think Trump is a Christian? "I'm reluctant to say," he says, "but I would say it is hard to look at the president's actions and believe they are the actions of somebody who believes in God."
It is said, "actions speak louder than words."
It is also said, in fact, Jesus said to the misguided religious leaders of His time, "Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye" (Matt 7:5).
The mission.
He says, "We obviously want them to change...So we've got to make sure that they feel good about themselves in the process of coming to a more accepting view."
This is the classic m.o. for the homosexual community. Play to biblically uninformed and the fairness of good people----and incrementally move the agenda forward.
Kirsten Powers concludes her piece in USA Today with this:
"Whether Mayor Pete becomes our first millennial president or not, he has already started a crucial conversation for the country."
Paul told biblical Christians not to be conformed to "this world," but to be "transformed" by the power of God.
Pete's message and that of the so-called Christian Left is a message of conforming to pop culture.
The Gospel is a message of forgiveness, deliverance, and restoration from sin, not an affirmation of it.
The Apostle Paul warned a young pastor:
"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers, and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables" (II Timothy 4:3,4).
