A/G Barr: The Truth About the Lie

In his testimony yesterday, Attorney General Barr set the record straight. He told the truth about "the lie" that has been perpetuated for more than two years. Senator Lindsey Graham, chair of the Judiciary Committee, further clarified the matter.

And today is the National Day of Prayer.

Be informed.

Today is the National Day of Prayer. It's the 68th national observance of prayer for our nation.

President Trump has issued a proclamation which says in part,
"Our Nation's honored tradition of prayer has sustained us and strengthened our trust that Gods will continue to watch over and accompany us through the best of times and the darkest hours"...And it says, " May we as Americans never forget the power of prayer and the greatness of our Creator.
As millions of people across all 50 states gather for prayer the theme is "Love One Another" from John 13:34.

The truth about the lie emerged during the past two days of testimony by Attorney General Bob Barr.

The full text of special counsel Robert Mueller's letter to A/G Bob Barr deflated initial reports from the Washington Post and the New York Times---and repeated by newspapers and local TV news across the country--- that Barr's summary had somehow mischaracterized Mueller's investigation.

The press desperately wanted there to be a conflict, even trying to create one with their words, but there wasn't one.

The conflict was "confirmed," they said, in a personal letter from Mueller to Barr.

The Post and the Times had created the impression Mueller was very upset with Barr for misrepresenting the Russia report in his 4-page summary and that the tone of his criticism shocked the Department of Justice.

But the letter, read in full context, suggests something very different. When the content of the letter became public, the Post and the Times buried mention of it deep in their reporting.

If you didn't see their explanation, please know you aren't the only one who missed it. That was the intention.

Local TV News, for the most part, after reporting the "conflict," moved on to the story about the cat caught high in a tree and rescued by two fire trucks, a medical vehicle and three police officers.

It is true that Mueller did disagree with the way Barr delivered his findings; he wanted Barr to release executive summaries of the report but did not take issue with the accuracy of Barr's memo to Congress.

A spokeswoman for the Justice Department said much of Barr's frustration is, in fact, aimed at the way the media covered the findings.

Barr reiterated this point when he told the committee, "I talked directly to Bob Mueller, not members of his team. Mueller never told me that the expression of the findings is inaccurate."

How can a person "obstruct" when no crime occurred?

This is exactly what Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is asking.

He said, based on two years and a $25 million investigation, Trump didn't do anything, and "he never did anything to stop Mueller from doing his job."

Graham said, "The new standard around here is "attempted obstruction of a crime that never occurred."

Graham went to great lengths to recall the actual possible crimes Hillary Clinton committed with her State Department server somewhere in her house and a long list of other things that were clearly violations, noting the difference between how Hillary was treated by the Justice Department and how Trump has been treated.

He said, "What do we know? We know that the person in charge of investigating hated Trump's guts."

He said on the record that both Strzok and Lisa Page were behind "the decision that Clinton didn't do anything wrong and a counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign was warranted."

And he promised,
"We're gonna look at the FISA warrant process. Did Russia provide Christopher Steele the information about Trump that turned out to be garbage that was used to get a warrant on an American citizen, and if so, how did the system fail?"

He suggested everyone should substitute Clinton for Trump when looking at both investigations.

The lie continues.

Last night newspapers, mainstream news networks, and local TV news stations ran this headline:
"Democrat Calls Out William Barr: 'You Lied To Congress'."---or something very close to that.

The Democrat is Sen. Mazie Hirono (D-HI). During her questioning of Barr, she said that he joins Kellyanne Conway and Rudy Giuliani as people who have "sacrificed their once decent reputation for the grifter and liar that sits in the Oval Office."

She added,
"You know the difference, but you've chosen to be the President's lawyer and side with him over the interests of the American people"---"You lied to Congress. You knew you lied. And now we know," calling on Barr to resign.

Chairman Graham was not finished. He told Hirono, "You slandered this man from top to bottom, so, if you want more of this, you're not going to get it, if you want to ask questions, you can."

Graham wisely said after hearing from the Attorney General Barr:
"The results of a two year investigation into the Trump campaign all things Russia, the actions the President took before and after the campaign, $25 million, 40 FBI agents. I appreciate very much what Mr. Mueller did for the country. I have read most of the report. For me, it is over."

Polls show the American people agree. They are sick and tired of being drug through this. It has become very clear that Trump didn't "collude" with Russia, and he didn't "obstruct" because no crime was committed.

Many believe the progressive Left is setting the stage for one of the greatest political defeats in recent history.

While they have focused on destroying Trump---and they will continue---they have missed the fact that they have also focused on the 63 million American citizens that voted for him, and have tried to invalidate their vote.

On this National Day of Prayer, pause and pray for our country, and our President.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
