News Media: "Read Between The Lines"

As the infamous "phone call" has failed to produce the desired result for the radical progressive Left---removing Trump from office----the news media has stepped in to explain that there is more wrongdoing on the part of the President than found in the "phone call," but you've got to "read between the lines."

A profile of radical progressivism vs conservatism. Truth vs relativism.

Be informed.

I will be talking about the latest ongoing impeachment inquiries regarding President Trump on our live radio program this morning. Join me live at 9 AM PDT from anywhere in the world, on the radio, iphone or on your computer. Here's how.

Reading between the lines.

Media Research Council says with the infamous "phone call" seeming to be going nowhere for those who want to impeach Trump, the news media has stepped in to straighten us all out regarding the truth.

The radical Left progressives have got to find a way to use it for impeachment anyway.

Enter the news media.

MRC says, "During the Wednesday evening newscasts of ABC and NBC, 'reading between the lines' was a common refrain."

ABC News anchor David Muir brought on chief legal analyst Dan Abrams and admitted that there wasn't a demand for dirt on Joe and Hunter Biden in exchange for military aid---MRC notes.

That's true. There wasn't.

Muir then set up Abrams with this: "The pressure does not need to be that explicit here?" Muir said as a question.

Abrams: "That's right, David. As a legal matter, you don't need a quid pro quo. You just need to be able to prove the person knowingly solicited something of value from a foreign national to try to influence the 2020 election."

Abrams confessed "That kind of case is hard to prove and win," but then said the "technical legal question isn't the most important one tonight...the real question is the political one...and all Congress needed to do is to read between the lines."

He said if there was a document or statement that linked dollars to help, that would assist the goal of impeaching the President, but said: "In the criminal law and the impeachment process, a court, or in this case, the Congress can certainly read between the lines."

NBC was up to the same thing---telling the public it isn't about what the President said, it's the hidden meaning that can be found by reading between the lines.

Both NBC News celebrities Chuck Todd and Andrea Mitchell explained that behind the "nothing" in the phone call, there really is something and Trump is in a much worse condition than before the "phone call" became public.

What they failed to report was the letter from the Democrats on May 4, 2018, to Ukraine leadership asking them to investigate Trump.

Nor did either network report that the DOJ's inspector general warned that the whistleblower had an "anti-Trump political bias."

When you're skipping the facts to "read between the lines," those kinds of things don't matter.

How "reading between the lines" works in a Congressional hearing.

Yesterday as the House Intelligence Committee convened, Democrat Chairman Adam Schiff opened the hearing with a fabricated overview of the phone conversation transcript. He added a lot of things that were not in the transcript of the phone call between President Trump and the Ukraine president.

Republican Ohio Rep. Brad Wenstrup called him out on it, calling it a "fabricated account." And it was.

Wenstrup said,
"It's a shame that we started off this hearing with fictional remarks. The implication of a conversation that took place between a president and a foreign leader putting words into it that did not exist. They were not in the transcript."

Schiff brushed off the comment, calling it a "parody."

Schiff clearly knew what he was doing by putting those remarks on the record---putting them out there so the news media could report them in sound bites on the evening news, taking no responsibility as to whether they were true or false.

Rep. Wenstrup also knew what Schiff was doing.

He said,
"And unfortunately today, many innocent Americans are going to turn on their TV and the media is only going to show that section of what the chairman had to say. But I'm glad to know that many Americans have seen this movie too many times and they're tired of it."

Therein, in my opinion, lies the riddle of the 2020 election. If Wenstrup is right, and I believe he is, this attempt will be weighed in the 2020 election, and I believe "many Americans have seen this movie too many times and they're tired of it."

This is a snapshot of what progressivism looks like in the real world.

Some thoughts on "Progressivism vs biblical Conservatism.

Conservatives believe that the way to a better world is almost always through moral improvement of the individual---by each person doing battle with his or her own moral defects.

The radical Left progressive believes that the way to a better world is almost always through doing battle with "society's moral defects," so in America, the Left defines a "good" person as the one who fights sexism, racism, intolerance, xenophobia, homophobia, Islamophobia and other evils that progressives have identified, defined and given moral virtue and value.

If you agree with them and their definitions, you too are good.

If you disagree, even based on personal biblical beliefs, you are evil and must be reeducated.

John Adams said:
"Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."

Our Constitution only works in the context of conservative, biblical virtue and beliefs.

Ben Franklin said:
"Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom."

This battle playing out before our country this week is certainly about politics, but even more so, it's about ideology.

One seeks to enhance and transform the individual morally through biblical Truth and Christian faith. The other seeks to "remake America" by remaking our institutions and reordering our values.

As a result of all this, we have produced a number of Americans who are passionate about carbon emissions, fighting sexism, and opposing "white privilege" but who are also cheating on their tests and taxes at unprecedented high levels.

It has been said: "Before you fix society, you must fix your self."

To my Christian readers who look to God for our personal strength and growth:

  • Remember that your character should always be stronger than your circumstances (1 Thess. 5:16-18).
  • Remember that your struggles always lead to strength (Romans 8:28).
  • Remember that God's timing is always perfect (Jeremiah 29:11).
  • Remember that God will never leave your side (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Have a great weekend.
