67.3 Million in US Don't Speak English at Home

The newly released Census Bureau data for 2018 shows that 67.3 million residents in the United States now speak a language other than English at home.

In 9 states, one in four residents now speaks a language other than English at home.

The Center for Immigration Studies finds that 67.3 million residents in the US now speak a language other than English in their home. They note that the number is equal to the entire population of France.

And they note that the number has nearly tripled since 1980, and more than doubled since 1990.

The growth at the state level is even more pronounced.

Note that all language figures in the Census Bureau data is for persons 5 years of age and older.

Among various languages other than English, the top three spoken in the home is; Spanish, 28 million, Chinese 2+ million and French 1.6 million.

This is an overview of what is happening in the states. Many of these are in America illegally. Not all---but millions of them. And they have no interest in assimilating into the American culture.



A nation without language, borders, and culture is not a nation.


Christopher Harris is the Executive Director of an organization called "Unhyphenated America"---He is black and doesn't think much of being something other than American, regardless of your skin color or ethnicity.

He says:

Leftist Politicians spend billions of our tax dollars trying to divide us, put us in boxes, then daring us to try to escape. They continually pull at the mosaic that has made America exceptional. Enough is enough!
At Unhyphenated America, we don't just believe America is great...we know America is great.
Cultural cohesion and connectedness are more important than having a "diversity" of skin color. Anyone can choose to be a part of this culture, because the principles aren't ethnically exclusive. We don't believe in hyphenations, or anything that attempts to divide Americans along artificial lines.
America is essentially a set of ideals and principles captured in our Declaration of Independence, and then codified and enumerated in our Constitution. It is those ideals, and our constant struggle to achieve and embody them that makes us great.
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."
Part of the beauty of America is, these ideals are no respecter of persons. They're not limited to people of a certain race, color, creed, or gender. If you decide to respect, embrace, and protect these simple truths of Natural Law...then congratulations, you're an American. Once you become an American, there is no need to ever add a hyphen, before, or after your Americanness, simply being an American is all the national identity you will ever need for the rest of your life.

Victor Davis Hanson on the necessity of borders.



In 2016, Victor Davis Hanson, a contributing editor of the Manhattan Institute's City Journal and a fellow at the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, wrote an op-ed for The Los Angles Times in which he explained the need and reason for national borders and national identity.

This is an overview of what Hanson said:


  • Among elites, borderlessness has taken its place among the politically correct positions of our age---and, as with other such ideas, it has shaped the language we use. The descriptive term, "illegal alien" gave way to the nebulous "unlawful immigrant", then "undocumented immigrant", "immigrant" or the entirely neutral "migrant."---a noun that obscures whether the individual in question is entering or leaving.
  • Where borders are drawn, power is exercised. This assumes that where borders are not , power is not exercised. Lawlessness and chaos rules.
  • Dreams of a borderless world are not new. Plutarch claimed in his essay "On Exile" that Socrates considered himself not just Athenian, but instead a citizen of the cosmos. Communist ideals of universal labor solidarity drew heavily on the idea of a world without borders. HG Wells science-fiction novel "The Shape of Things To Come" envisioned borders eventually disappearing as transnational polymaths enforced enlightened world governance. The Left continues to cherish the vision of a borderless world as morally superior, a triumph over artificially imposed difference.
  • The truth is that borders do not create difference---they reflect it.
  • Throughout history, the trigger points of war have traditionally been over borders. The people who oppose them, most often build protective walls on their own property.
  • Hypocrisy.
  • Clearly delineated borders and their enforcement, either by walls and fences or security patrols, won't go away because they go to the heart of human condition.


Globalism closely identifies with the agenda of the coming Anti-Christ revealed in the book of Revelation and elsewhere in Scripture.

Those who say they oppose borders really don't----including George Soros, Jim Wallis, Nancy, Schumer and all the Democrats running for the presidency.


If you say you're for open borders, you're not. Not really.

Do you have locks on your doors? How about your car? Got a fence so your kids can play safely? Do you have passwords on your computers? How about your bank accounts? Do you protect your credit card numbers? Your Social Security number? How about your medical records? Do you think curbs, guardrails, and traffic lines are a good idea, or should people be able to drive anywhere and any way they want? How about security borders at the airport—necessary or optional?

The truth is, everyone believes in secure borders. In fact, life would be impossible without them. As long as human nature is what it is—bent toward evil—borders will be necessary.

God created the model of borders for human existence.


The Bible is clear that God's plan includes borders. My friend Bryan Fischer, with American Family Association, wrote an excellent article this summer titled, "The Bible: The US Has Every Right To Shut Down Its Border." 

He said in part:

Regressive evangelicals can be fooled just like anyone when it comes to what the Bible teaches about illegal immigration. To hear many evangelical leaders tell it, God is all for open borders and anybody who thinks otherwise is a bad Christian.
But that’s not what we discover when we take a closer look at what the Bible actually says rather than what we want it to say. When Israel approached the Promised Land in its journey through the wilderness, Moses asked the kings of Edom and Moab for permission to pass through their territory on the way to Canaan and was denied - twice.
The king of Edom “would not listen” and the king of Moab “would not consent” (Judges 11:17). What did Moses do? Did he invade their land or sneak across their borders? No - the Bible says in Judges 11:18 he “went around the land of Moab and the land of Edom.” In other words, he honored their borders and would not enter their sovereign territory without their permission.
The Bible teaches us here and in any many other places that borders around countries are God’s idea, not man’s, and must be respected. When we protect our sovereign borders from an invasion of illegal aliens who enter without our permission, we are simply following the template laid down by God himself in his Word.
There is nothing wrong and everything right about insisting that the people of other nations honor and respect our borders. And the sooner we do it the better.

Acts 17:6 says, "From one man He made every nation of men, to inhabit the whole earth and He determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their lands."
