The Great Tug-Of-War

I couldn't help but notice a picture this weekend of Joe Biden's dogs playing tug-of-war with a President Donald Trump chew toy.

I found the pictures interesting in that Joe Biden is calling for national "unity" and "healing."

Late Friday, the US Supreme Court denied Texas their motion that would have essentially nullified the presidential elections in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin---changing the outcome of the presidential election.

Rudy Giuliani says President Trump has a "plan B" to expose the election fraud, and it's already under way.

Saturday evening, Antifa and BLM protesters attacked a Christian Trump supporter in Washington DC after he said, "Jesus Christ is coming soon."

There is indeed a political and spiritual tug-of-war in our nation.

A battle between two very opposing worldviews.

Be informed, not misled.

I thought the picture of Biden's dogs illustrated the contest in our culture.

I noticed Biden's granddaughter, Naomi Biden, apparently posted the pic along with other pictures on Instagram. She also posted this message:
"I hope you'll enjoy these pics of me, Champ & Charlie First Grandpupper," noting that she took them "during our #TugOfWar match"

She says, "Champ was the champion---some names are predestined. Just like winning, in a landslide, by a record number of votes."

As Joe Biden's canines attempt to shred the incumbent president, Biden is calling for "unity and healing."

Talking to CNBC last week Biden said: "We've won with the most votes ever cast for a presidential ticket...and we're seeing all over this nation, and in all cities in all parts of the country, indeed across the world, an outpouring of joy."

Then he said, "Trump supporters are not our enemies...This is a time to heal in America"...continuing that, "I will work to unify, not divide."

Biden's appeal for "healing" comes amid his amassing the most secular, far-left, anti-American, anti-freedom, anti-life, anti-traditional marriage and family, and anti-capitalism "administration" in the history of our republic.

There is indeed a tug of war for the soul of America---one side demanding a "reset" or "remake" of America while the other works and prays for a restoration of our country and a returning to the Judeo-Christian values and principles upon which we were founded.

The political tug-of-war.

Mountainous articles have been written over the weekend about the Court's ruling on Friday evening, but here's the bottom line.

Friday afternoon the Supreme Court denied Texas's motion for leave to file a complaint for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution.

I am not a lawyer, but when the request was filed by Texas last week, I expressed concern on our radio program that the Court could rule that Texas does not have "standing."

The Supreme Court said
"The State of  Texas's motion for leave to file a bill of complaint is denied for lack of standing under Article III of the Constitution. Texas has not demonstrated a judicially recognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts it's elections. All other pending motions are dismissed as moot."

The order does not foreclose any other pending or future election appeals at the Supreme Court.

Rudy Giuliani and Trump's legal team is moving to "plan B."

Rudy says, "We move immediately, seamlessly to plan B, which is to bring lawsuits now in each one of the states. We had them ready. They're just a version of the one that was brought in the Supreme Court."

He says President Trump has given the go-ahead.

Rudy says:
"If the state doesn't have standing, surely the President of the United States has standing. And certainly the electors in the states have standing. So they will be bringing those very cases right in those courts, starting today."

That was Friday night.

And he said, "Let's see what excuse they can try to use to avoid having a hearing on that."

Then he said this: "Nobody wants to face the reality that this election was stolen."

True. Secular progressivism has moved America to a place where about half the country can't handle the truth---nor do they want to hear it.

Personally, I was deeply disappointed in the Court's ruling. The question lingers, "Did they simply not want to face the overwhelming amount of evidence of corruption during the election," or "do they want a more defined case to be heard before the Court?"

According to Rudy, they're about to get another opportunity.

We'll keep you posted.

The spiritual tug-of-war.

Saturday, Antifa and Black Lives Matter protesters attacked a Christian Trump supporter during an event in Washington DC.

A journalist, Drew Hernandez, posting a picture showing the man walking down the street in the nation's capital. The man says, "Jesus Christ is coming back," to a group of hecklers. Later a man is seen wearing a black bloc comes up behind him and punches him in the back of the head.

Does the left hate Trump or Christians the most?

Later he is seen trying to pick up a bicycle and another attacker jumps on his back.

In another incident, Antifa/BLM, protesters engaged in a fight outside the Capital Hilton Hotel, are seen on video hitting a Trump supporter in the head with a megaphone by one of the Antifa protesters.

Hernandez also reported that a Christian couple who support Trump were physically assaulted and maced by Antifa/BLM.

However, as hate was on full display nearby, thousands of Trump supporters were singing "God Bless The USA" in Freedom Plaza at the capital of the most blessed, free nation in the history of the world.

America.

The takeaway.

The image of two dogs playing tug-of-war with the likeness of a political opponent might have had some humor in different times, but today the humor is lost in the reality of where our beloved nation finds itself.

The far-left, secular progressives are trying to "reset" and "remake" America into something our Founders gave all to create and defend, and would not recognize today.

Conservatives and Christians are working and praying not to "reset" or "remake" but to "restore" the greatest nation in the history of the world. A nation where rights are not bestowed by government, but by God Himself---with government being charged with "protecting" not "dispensing" those God-given rights.

Although Trump is flawed personally, he has without hesitation, strongly supported that vision for America.

Those who are casting stones at him are, themselves, not without sin.

William Penn, the founder of what is now Pennsylvania, wisely said: "Men must be governed by God or they will be ruled by tyrants."

This current tug-of-war is to decide which path America will choose.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Courageous. Be Prayerful.
