The Plan to Steal the Next Presidential Election

On her 75th birthday yesterday, Hillary Clinton rededicated herself to saving the country from the "Right Wing Extremists."

In a video posted to social media, she accused “right-wing extremists” of having “a plan to literally steal the next presidential election.”

She's apparently sure the Democrats are going to lose the presidency and she wants everyone to know the election---which is two years away--- was stolen. And by whom.

Suddenly it's patriotic to be a denier. Who knew?

There's a trifecta at work among us, and it's very destructive.

Be informed, not misled.

In a video posted to Twitter,  the former secretary of state began, “Hello, Indivisibles. I’m here to highlight something that is keeping me up at night, and I know this group really understands what I’m about to say. I know we’re all focused on the 2022 midterm elections and they are incredibly important, but we also have to look ahead, because you know what? Our opponents certainly are.”

Clinton continued, “Right-wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election and they’re not making a secret of it.”

“The right-wing controlled Supreme Court may be poised to rule on giving state legislatures, yes, you heard me correctly, state legislatures, the power to overturn presidential elections,” she added.

“Just think if that happens, the 2024 presidential election could be decided not by the popular vote, or even by the anachronistic Electoral College, but by state legislatures, many of them Republican-controlled.”

“But there’s also good news in the face of this very real threat to democracy,” Clinton continued. “Indivisible [ a non-profit organization she is involved with]has launched, ‘Crushed the Coup’ to make sure we’re ready to defend democracy in 2024. They’ve put together a list of critical races in six key states and how you can get involved.”

She then launched an extensive fundraising appeal.

Hillary's hypocrisy.

In 2020 in the lead-up to the presidential election between Joe Biden and Donald Trump, Clinton said during an interview for The Atlantic’s politics podcast, The Ticket, “There was a widespread understanding that this election [in 2016] was not on the level. We still don’t know what really happened.”

In 2021, Clinton said that Russian President Vladimir Putin helped to rig the 2016 election against her in an interview on MSNBC. “Putin is the great disrupter. He has a clear mission to undermine democracies, first and foremost, the United States.”

Almost immediately after the statement, Clinton also claimed that anyone who disputed the results of the 2020 election was working for the Kremlin, either directly or indirectly.

“A democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.” – John Adams

William Haupt III wrote an article last week titled, "America's Progressive Trifecta Threatens World Democracy."  In it, he explains how America's current confusion over democracy is not only impacting our own nation in destructive ways but all the nations on earth that practice some kind of democracy.

Keep in mind, our Founding Fathers gave us a "Republic", not a "democracy." They're different. However, we use democratic ideals and representative principles and are therefore often referred to as a "democracy.'

Haupt said this:

America’s ultimate power in the world rests more on its democratic ideals than it's economic and military strength. Since our founding, our commitment to the rule of law, freedom of the press, and equal justice for all has been the envy of all free world nations. And what has influenced the world’s opinion most about America is how its 50 states remain independent under a central government.

In the past few decades, the world has watched in collective horror as our once proud democracy falls from grace. A destructive political divide between progressives and the people threatens to destroy our representative democracy. From street violence to threatening the Supreme Court, and using federal police for political gain, our democratic republic has been abducted by progressives.

Our allies are deeply concerned about our future.

I would add, we should all be concerned as well.

Michael J. Abramowitz, president of Freedom House, said, “Authoritarian powers, especially China, are advancing their interests around the world, while democracies, especially America, are divided and consumed by internal conflicts. For freedom to prevail on a global scale, the American people must work together to strengthen democracy at home if they ever want to see democracy abroad.”

He says, "The world has seen the damage done to our democracy in less than two years with a progressive trifecta and eight previous years of progressive leadership. If we continue at this pace, the U.S. will share the dubious space of Orban’s Hungary and Erdogan’s Turkey on the World Freedom index."

And he said this: "World democracies use to think since the U.S. had such a long history of democratic government it would always be maintained as its national identity. They also felt that America had a society that had too much individual strength to relinquish its freedom to a group of powerful beltway politicians."

So what caused America to go backward in our freedom and world influence?

Haupt says, "It started following the Great Recession with Obama’s 'change campaign.' Feeling the misery of the economic collapse, voters looked to progressives for a new direction. They believed Obama when he said, 'he’d even the playing field for everyone."

“We are the change you have been looking for.” – Barack Obama

The world listened when Obama claimed he would unite America and make changes in our society and government that would benefit democracy. Obama claimed to be an expert on race relations, and he negotiated the terms of social contracts for Blacks, other identity groups, and LGBTQs. Every local racial incident gained national focus and was a talking point Obama used to “school America.”

Haupt says, "Obama’s obsession with race changed world opinion about American homogeneity. They saw America in a different light. With a number of high-profile incidents with police and violent protests by identity groups, many Americans, as well as world democracies, felt race relations were worse."

He's right. You will remember, as I do when President Obama demeaned police officers everywhere when he mockingly said, “The police acted stupid. I’ve invited them to a beer summit at the White House.”

The world watched Obama force progressive policies on America. His America shared the wealth and everyone paid their fair share. Poverty increased and he expanded the welfare state. He over-regulated businesses and his $825 billion stimulus package was filled with gifts for special interests.

Obama’s only legislative achievement, Obamacare, a gift few people wanted, was put under the Christmas trees in America on Christmas Eve, 2009. Again, the world took notice as America’s free market healthcare was snatched away from them by a group of Washington progressive politicians.

“I promise. Once we pass the bill and you take the time to read it, you will like it.” – Nancy Pelosi

Haupt reminds us, "America prospered under Donald Trump, with the lowest unemployment and best economy in five decades. Yet the media did their best to negatively influence world opinion about Trump’s leadership. Our allies loved us, and our enemies hated us and the media turned this into a global double negative."

“I took this job for one reason. I wanted to make America a great nation again.” – Donald Trump

“Democracy must be defended every day.”--Edmund Burke

Haupt continued: "A recent Pan-European survey shows since Joe Biden took office, the UK and the majority of EU member states think the U.S. political system is in trouble, and Europe can no longer rely on the U.S. They now look to Berlin rather than Washington as their most important partner. They fear that China will soon take over as the world’s superpower, and America will not be capable to defend world democracy any longer."

Finally, Haupt concludes: "The progressive trifecta has broken our democracy and the world is taking notice. We can’t defend foreign democracies if we cannot defend our own. Are we ready to start doing that, or will we continue down the progressive path of democratic destruction?"

I cannot overstate the importance of the upcoming midterm election or the next presidential election in just 24 months.

To whom much is given, much will be required.
