While a majority of Americans oppose Obama's health care plan---for a variety of reasons, there are those who see it as a gift. A miracle from Pennsylvania Avenue.

As these folks tuck themselves into the blankets of a new world socialism, there is ---well, visions of sugar plumbs dancing in their heads.

Senator Dodd, chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, is facing a very tough re-election bid next year. But not to worry. He gets a $100,000 million for a new hospital for the folks in his district. That should salvage a few votes.

A number of other well documented gifts have been spread around in the purchasing of the politicians.

However, everyone isn't into sugar plumbs this Christmas.

Senator Ben Nelson got his sugar plumb from Harry Reid and thought he had hit a home run, until he checked with the people he supposedly serves in Nebraska.

They are not doing sugar plumbs this year.

There is much more than a clatter on the roof----the people are through the roof mad.

His phone lines are jammed and while attending a public gathering in Omaha last weekend, he got an earful. And the message wasn't "Happy New Year."

Nelson says he feels like he went home and was "bit by the family dog."

Indeed.

Perhaps other elected officials who have drifted into the brave new world of dismantling America and redistributing the wealth will get "bite" in 2010 as well.

Or, will rethink their core values.

Rep. Parker Griffith, D-AL, a medical doctor, has done just that and announced this week he is quitting the Democratic Party and joining the Republicans. He says his core values don't match with theirs.

He said, "I want to make it perfectly clear that his bill is bad for doctors, our patients and will have unintended consequences far beyond what we know today."

Yes it will.

There are a number of great candidates stepping forward in Washington State this coming 2010 election. As we move into the new year, we will be working with them and encouraging you to do so as well.

God bless you.
