The other night my wife and I, along with some of our family, drove up to the view point at Kerry Park on Queen Anne Hill's Highland. The lights of the city were spectacular, as always. While looking across the city, a few clouds cleared and a quarter moon hung just above the Space Needle.
Lights are truly a thing of beauty.
As we drove down the hill into downtown, I remembered the words of John, who said of Christ, "In Him was life and the life was the light of men."
I also remembered that he said, "And the light shines in the darkness and the darkness did not comprehend it." (John 1:4,5)
In our world of uncertainty, fear, rebellion and confusion, may the spirit of Christ light your heart and your way. May you experience the fullness of life through the life that is the light of the world.
God bless you and your family at this Christmas season and throughout the coming year.
