President Obama Eyes Next Job--President of the World?
Last night, U.S. President Obama told Congress, our country and the world, that He has made great progress, claiming his policy approach to Syria has been "right," ignoring the fact that millions of Syrians have been displaced or killed. Even the Democrats didn't believe him.
The president hailed his "deal" with Iran as one of his most important achievements. However, as he spoke, America was learning that Iran was detaining 2 U.S. Navy boats and 10 sailors, charging them with "snupping."
The president made no mention of the Iran matter.
Most observers, even those within the Democrat Party, felt the speech was one that reflected a denial of what is actually happening in the real world.
However, a news story circulating around the world says he already has his sights set on his next job.
Israeli News is reporting that Prime Minister Netanyahu is attempting to scuttle the possibility.
Observers at Obama's speech at West Point more than a year ago say they saw this coming.
According to a Kuwaiti newspaper, Al Jarida, Barack Obama's post-presidential plans, although it may seem far-fetched, are focused on becoming the next Secretary-General of the United Nations after leaving the White House.
The Investor's Business Daily is not surprised. They published an article in May of 2014 suggesting the president's speech at West Point "sounded an awful lot like he was campaigning for the role" of UN Secretary-General "when Ban Ki-moon's term expires early in 2017."
The Investor's Business Daily reported, "His address to the cadets at the US Military Academy at West Point on Wednesday sounded much like the launch of a campaign for still higher office: presiding over the hopelessly corrupt, tyrant-dominated United Nations."
They said, "After briefly giving lip service to the U.S. using military force, unilaterally if necessary when our core interests demand it, Obama quickly placed America under the UN umbrella," telling the cadets that "when we face crises that 'do not directly threaten us' he said 'we must mobilize allies and partners to take collective action."
He told the cadets, "I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being" but defined exceptionalism as the willingness to affirm "international norms...through our actions."
International rumor has it that he is indeed pursuing the position.
News sources have Israeli PM Netanyahu saying, "Is it not enough that we have to live through eight years of Obama's rule in which he ignored Israel? Now he wants to be in a position to cause us difficulty in the international arenas?"
Netanyahu has also complained about Obama's "closeness to the Muslim Brotherhood, the toppling of Hosni Mubarak's regime in Egypt, and the attempts to forge alliances with political Islam," including his deal with Iran that insures they will have a nuclear bomb in a minimum of 10 years.
Israeli TV channel 7 reports that an Israeli source is saying that Obama's term is ending with an alliance being struck with Iran, and an agreement about its nuclear program that will "eventually lead to a scenario similar to what is going on in North Korea."
The Washington Times reports that according to Kuwaiti news, "Mr. Obama has already discussed the issue with certain Republican, Democratic and Jewish officials in the United States."
Investor's Business Daily concludes, "Who would the UN like better as secretary-general than an American who wants the world's lone superpower placed firmly under the rules made by the UN General Assembly, the vast majority of whose members are undemocratic and pine for redistributed US wealth?---A secretary-general who can get the US to accept UN rule?"
Many feel the real ideology of Barack Obama is more consistent with the one world government ideology of the UN than the Republican form of government in the United States.
The stated goals of the United Nations comes down to this: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The previous agenda of the United Nations---Agenda 21, was primarily focused on the environment. The newly approved 2030 Agenda is taking the principles and goals of Agenda 21 to a completely new level of global solidarity.
Sec-General Ban Ki-moon said on December 30, "As 2015 comes to an end...the United Nations will usher in---on 1 January 2016---an even more ambitious set of goals to banish a whole host of social ills by 2030."
He said a "Spirit of solidarity must inspire our collective responses to the world's major challenges."
"With diversity under verbal attack in so many parts of the world, let us make the most of International Human Solidarity Day by reaffirming our common humanity, defending our shared values and creating a better future for all."
2030 Agenda is truly a blueprint for global governance---A New World Order.
This is not a new endeavor, but it should be of concern to all biblical Christians.
The first attempt to establish a New World Order was by a united humanity of the generations following the Great Flood, speaking a single language and migrating from the east, who came to the land of Shinar and built the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11). Later, Satan tempted even Jesus, promising Him world dominion as His reward (Matthew 4:1-11). This same promise has been given to scores of other men over the ages. History tells of many who have accepted the Great Deceiver's terms.
The Psalmist had observed the failed efforts of men who would become as God, and he wrote: "Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth rise up and the rulers band together against the Lord and His anointed, saying 'Let us break their chains and throw off their shackles'" (Psalm 2:1-3).
There is a coming one world government, but it will not be orchestrated by the United Nations.
The Bible is clear. Jesus Christ will rule and reign on this earth at His appointed time, in His appointed way.
Until that time we are instructed to "occupy until He comes"---be faithful and informed---stand strong in biblical faith---and keep looking up---redemption is drawing near.
Be Informed. Be Strong. Be Blessed.
