Friendship is often born and alliances forged by virtue of a common enemy.
We have seen this in the course of human events from the beginning of time.
There is an unholy alliance developing between the American Left (religious and secular) and Islam.
Intentional or incidental, the results are the same.
I'm not suggesting the Left in America is necessarily embracing the beliefs of Islam, (however some are) but an alliance is forming because they share a common enemy---biblically based Western Civilization.
Specifically, biblical Christianity and national sovereignty.
In his new book, "Stealth Invasion: Muslim Conquest Through Immigration and Resettlement Jihad." author Leo Hohmann says "there is an unholy alliance between Islam and the Left because they both share a common enemy, which is Christianity, which they both want to destroy."
He says, "That's because both of them have a globalist objective and Christianity stands in the way."
Hohmann told Janet Mefferd on her American Family Radio network program a few days ago, "And you look at what's standing in the way of that and it's nationalism, borders, Christianity. They both hate those things."
One News Now said yesterday, "The history of the Muslim Brotherhood dates back to the 1940s in Egypt, where it was eventually outlawed under a secular government that scoffed at first when Brotherhood followers demanded that Sharia law dictate politics and culture. After decades of attacks, bombings, and a presidential assassination, Egypt is no longer laughing."
They note, "The country's secular leaders deposed Brotherhood supporter Mohamed Morsi in 2013 after the Brotherhood gained power under his presidency."
Hohmann says, "In the United States, the Brotherhood is taking advantage of liberal immigration laws to increase its numbers and establish 'settlements' on behalf of Islam."
"And," he says, "building alliances with left-wing or other supportive organizations here in the United States, who are not Islamic, to conduct sort of a grand Jihad to the point where after destroying these institutions, Islam would be the only one left standing---the only religion left and reign supreme in America."
If we doubt Hohmann's assessment, a glance at news from Europe gives an even more clear picture of what Hohmann describes.
Or, better yet. Look at what is already happening in our own country.
In March, a few mothers discovered their kid's middle school in Chatham, New Jersey was using a cartoon video to teach the "Five Pillars of Islam" to seventh-grade students---including their own sons.
The cartoon features a Muslim boy and a non-Muslim boy playing together, while the Muslim boy explains his faith. The cartoon ends with a sad-faced non-Muslim boy appearing to be sad because he doesn't have the same faith. Then the Muslim boy invites the sad-faced boy to join him in attending the mosque for noon-day prayers. The video ends with sadness turning to joy over getting to go to the mosque.
The students were also taught to memorize the "Shahada," which is the Muslim conversion prayer that says, "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger."
I wrote about it at the time.
The school refused to address the matter until two of the mothers went on FOX News' Tucker Carlson and told their story. Only then was any action taken to stop the indoctrination.
The Left, religious and secular, stand together in demanding our country open its borders, as Europe is doing because it's the Christian thing to do.
Now, Muslim activists have joined the call for open borders in the name of compassion and morality.
There is growing concern.
In January, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal, a committed Christian whose family were immigrants, spoke with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins.
He said:
“[O]ne of the great things about America is it doesn’t matter if you’ve been here five minutes or a hundred years, we have folks that come here, want to be Americans. They join our military, they start companies, they work to create a better community. And that’s wonderful. What’s not acceptable is people that want to come and conquer us. That’s not immigration, by the way, that’s colonization. If someone wants to come here and change our fundamental culture and our values. If they want to come here and they want to set up their own culture and values that’s not immigration, that’s really invasion — if you’re honest about it. Of course, the politically correct crowd when you say things like that they’ll call you racist — but this is a particular threat we face."
Indeed they do call you racist. Or bigots. Or, the religious Left will even call you anti-Christian if you believe in borders and culture.
Both the Left and the Muslim activists are calling for the same thing. Open borders and globalism.
The secular and religious Left do so in order to feel good about themselves, while the Muslims do so in order to colonize and conquer, not assimilate and join.
At the heart of it all, it is a spiritual, not political conflict. I'll be talking more about "Friends and Enemies" this morning on our live radio program. You can join me live from anywhere in the world---on the radio, your computer, or your phone. Here's how.
Be Informed. Be Not Afraid. Be Vigilant. Be Discerning. Be Prayerful.
