Boy Scouts Will Furnish The Condoms This Summer

The Boy Scouts reportedly plan to provide condoms for the upcoming World Scout Jamboree to be held in West Virginia.

The theme of the Jamboree is "Unlock a New World."

There is no doubt the Boy Scouts of America (or whatever they now call themselves) are indeed unlocking a new world.

The World Organization of Scouting Movement handbook requires the host organization to "ensure that condoms are readily and easily accessible for all participants and at a number of locations on site."

The World Jamboree is an official World Organization of the Scout Movement event.

The Washington Times reports, "The Boy Scouts are co-hosting this year's event with two other scouting organizations, Scouts Canada and the Scouts Association of Mexico."

Andy Chapman, vice president of the World Scout Committee, told the Times the co-hosts are working to implement requirements previously laid out by the World organization.

Chapman said, "The World Scout Jamboree organizing team has worked with the co-host countries to align these requirements, which have been in place for the past two World Scout Jamborees, in a manner that is respectful to local laws and preferences."

BSA is in moral free fall.

First they opened the door for openly gay boys to join the scouts, and called it a victory for "inclusion"---giving little to no thought of the negative impact this would have on boys who, in some cases, are much too young to be exposed to the tent talk that would happen as a result.

Then the scouts further opened the door to openly homosexual men becoming scout leaders.

Continuing down the slippery slope, BSA realized they would still be discriminating if they did not allow girls who "identify" as boys---then all girls were welcomed, catching the Girl Scouts organization off guard.

BSA has also caught parents off guard. Families that have a history---a generational heritage in the Boy Scouts, are understandably devastated. I've spoken with some of them.

Now this.

The Boy Scout Oath or Promise affirms: "On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the scout law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight."

The Boy Scout Outdoor Code, among other things, says, "I will be careful with fire."

The leadership of the BSA is playing with fire and are going to be responsible for burning the innocence of young unsuspecting little boys...and now young girls.

The leadership has created a moral environment in which scouts are influenced to violate their own Scout Oath to be "morally straight."

John Stemberger, chairman of the board of Trail Life USA, an alternative Bible-based organization, says "it's not clear how far down the rabbit hole the Boy Scouts will continue to fall."

He said, "All this should be deeply disturbing to the churches that are chartering Boy Scout Troops. These policies present a clear youth protection problem that the BSA absolutely refuses to recognize. The fact that they are requiring that condoms be 'readily accessible' and are communicating this to everyone---including youth participants---shows that the BSA is both anticipating and facilitating sexual conduct between minors at this event. These policies are both outrageous and completely irresponsible."

I strongly recommend that parents with kids in the Boy Scouts get them out of the program. A number of local churches have their own denominational programs that align with moral and biblical values.

If that option is not available, I strongly recommend Trail Life USA.
