The Left Can't Even Tolerate a "Moment of Silence"

Speaking of rage...protesters repeatedly disrupted a campaign rally for Republican Senate candidate Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.) on Sunday ---even during a moment of silence for the victims of the mass shooting at the Pittsburgh synagogue.

Tolerance?

UPDATE From Pittsburgh: Fox News is reporting this:

"PITTSBURGH -- Jewish doctors and nurses at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh put their personal feelings aside to help save the life of the man who allegedly claimed he wanted to 'kill all the Jews' as he opened fire at a synagogue and murdered 11 worshipers."

The champions of "tolerance" have moved on. People of Judeo-Christian faith have not.

Apparently, the concept of tolerance is no longer useful to the progressive Left, so they've moved on to "free speech," which has also been redefined to include bullying.

Rep. Blackburn, who is running for a Senate seat from Tennessee, said in a statement that "an angry mob" crashed her "Get Out The Vote" rally, and security officers removed several people after "appalling" and "despicable" disruptions.

Even before Blackburn took the podium in Nashville Sunday, several protesters had to be removed from the room.

However, when Blackburn took the podium, she called for a moment of silence for the victims in Pittsburgh.

Instead of silence, a woman began yelling, "Marsha Blackburn is a white supremacist!"

Actually, she's not. She is a patriotic, white evangelical woman who believes the Lord has called her to serve in this way.

When the woman was removed, Blackburn said, "How despicable that you can't even have a moment of silence."

Well, it is.

Senator Lindsay Graham was attending the rally, supporting Blackburn, and many in attendance were there to see Graham, as well as Blackburn.

He, too, was yelled at.

Sen. Graham became a hero to many when he spoke forcefully and truthfully on behalf of Brett Kavanaugh during the televised hearings.

He has also become more and more publicly supportive of President Trump and the Trump agenda, which makes a lot of conservatives feel good about him. And a lot of liberals angry.

Graham says, "It's getting worse...judge me by my friends and the people who want to yell at me. The only people wanting to yell at me would turn the country into a mob."

He says the only way to stop the madness, is for these people to lose their jobs. Elect new officials.

You may recall, Graham said to his Democrat colleagues during the hearing, "Y'all want power, and I hope you never get it."

Graham has said the assault on Kavanaugh by Democrats has made a lasting impact on him. It has changed him.

No question, a lot of things have changed.

John Hawkins wrote for Town Hall earlier this year,
"Free speech has become a conservative idea by default because liberals don't believe in it any more. Liberals have given up on the idea of coming up with your best argument and now work tirelessly to silence their opposition so they can win the argument by default. Liberals need to do this because their ideas don't work very well in the real world and if their ideas are tested and evaluated logically, they will be rejected by most people. So, how do they get around that?"

He then gives "7 Techniques Liberals Use to Silence Conservatives."

I would encourage you to read his comments on each of the 7 techniques. But this is #1, with an overview of the other 6:

  1. Libsplaining: For every guy out there mansplaining, there are probably 500 liberals libsplaining what some conservative supposedly REALLY MEANT at exactly the same time. If you’re conservative, pretty much anything you say will be reinterpreted by liberals to mean something totally different. Against welfare because you think it encourages people not to work? You must hate black people. We need to cut wasteful government programs? You despise poor people. You weren’t in love with Trump, but really didn’t like Hillary, so you voted for him? You obviously want to turn America into Nazi Germany AND you hate women. None of this would be more than an annoyance except for the fact that liberals then take their completely nonsensical interpretation of what conservatives say and present it to the world as reality. This is how, for example, tens of millions of liberals who have probably never listened to Rush Limbaugh in their entire lives think he furiously spews lies and racist rants against the poor for three hours per day. Liberals seem to be practically incapable of taking common conservative beliefs at face value because that could lead them to intellectually engage in a debate about the best way to handle a problem, which could lead them away from liberal doctrine, which could….uh, YOU’RE A RACIST! THAT’S WHY.
  2. Violence: Why are the liberal fascists in ANTIFA violently protesting? They're violently protesting that people they disagree with are allowed to speak at all.
  3. De-Platforming: If a conservative puts his opinion out there, but no one is allowed to hear it, does it really matter?
  4. Political Correctness/ Safe Spaces/ Microaggressions: Safe spaces and microaggressions are the little sisters of political correctness, but they all serve the same purpose. They're designed to silence people who say things liberals don't like.
  5. Liberal Fakes: Besides Fox News and a few conservative newspapers, its rare to see a genuine conservative presence in the mainstream media.
  6. False Labeling: In America, there are certain groups that the vast majority of us simply ignore. We don't pay attention to their arguments because nobody much cares what an actual white supremacist, Nazi, Fascist or racist has to say. So, naturally, if you listen to liberals, other than them, pretty much everyone else is a white supremacist, Nazi, fascist or racist.
  7. The Ventriloquist Dummy: Liberals love to find someone you're not supposed to criticize to stick up front when there's a hot political issue.

It is written, there is a time for everything. Ecclesiastes 3:7 says there is "A time to tear, a time to sew; a time to keep silence, And a time to speak."

This is a time to speak. And a time to vote.

Be Informed. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful. Be Bold. Vote.
