Pete Buttigieg and the Trojan Horse

South Bend mayor and presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg said in the debate this week that "so-called conservative Christian senators right now are blocking a bill to raise the minimum wage when Scripture says that whoever oppresses the poor taunts his Maker."

Adding, "we need to put the needs of the worker first."

This is the effect of the Trojan Horse of Social Justice that "has been dragged into the citadel."

Pete is one example of how the Social Justice movement is misleading Christians while destroying our culture.

Be informed.

The crowd went wild with applause, when Buttigieg quoted Scripture to advance his social justice moral authority and "biblically" help the oppressed.

My point is not about how much the minimum wage should be, it's about how the religious Left is misleading the nation under the guise of "Christian compassion," bringing false hope to the "oppressed" while dismantling the culture.

It's about those who come in the name of the Lord, misquoting His Word to achieve a secular progressive end.

When Everett Piper, president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University, heard Pete's comments, he tweeted: "Buttigieg's 'Christianity' seems to look more like himself than it looks like Christ. Worshiping the 'god' he sees in the mirror rather than the God he sees in the Bible."

Andrew T Walker, a senior fellow at the Southern Baptist Convention's Ethics & Religious Commission, tweeted, "It never fails to baffle how progressives can appeal to the Bible to arrive at an exact minimum wage ($15 according to Buttigieg), yet ignore, reject, or plead ambiguity on the Bible teaching on marriage and abortion."

Pete Buttigieg regularly references Scripture to support his same-sex "marriage" and has twisted Scripture to affirm abortion.

And he has called Vice President Mike Pence a "Pharisee."

Other evangelicals echoed Piper's and Walker's sentiments. In fact, that single statement actually brought Calvinists and non-Calvinists together on that point.

Social Justice leaders consistently misquote Scripture and mislead sincere followers to further an ideological, not theological agenda.

Some are asking: "Is the Bible enough or must we acquiesce to worldly philosophies of Critical Race Theory and Intersectionality?" ( link 2 ) ( use pic of Trojan Horse)

The Trojan Horse

"The Argives had embarked on their benched ships, and were sailing away, after throwing fire on their huts, while those others led by glorious Odysseus were now sitting in the place of assembly of the Trojans, hidden in the horse; for the Trojans had themselves dragged it into the citadel."
Homer, The Odyssey.

As history teaches, The Trojan Horse was a method of penetrating the security of one people, under the guise of a gift. Once inside the gate, they destroyed the people.

The Trojan Horse of our times.

The culture.

In his book, "Law, Legislation and Liberty," F.A. Hayek writes, "It is indeed the concept of 'social justice' which has been the Trojan Horse through which totalitarianism has entered."

The "moral guise" of Social Justice conceals the threat to the culture of a Republic. Social justice is far more concerned with equal distribution than with equal treatment or equal opportunity.

Hayek says,
"Social Justice defines fairness in terms of outcomes, rather than processes, the implication being that the end justifies the means. Whether the goal is equality (of outcome) or diversity (of identity), the individual is just a pawn in the game of Social Justice: a means to an end rather than an end in itself. In short, Social Justice, is not justice. The future of liberal democracy depends on our ability to tell the two apart."

The Christian Church.

With the appearance of sincerity, Pete Buttigieg explained to the press recently how his same-sex "marriage" has deepened his relationship with God. He said it has brought him closer to the Lord---made him a better Christian.

Following his "testimony," a Washington Post op-ed declared that "Buttigieg is a symbol for a rising Christian Left."

They're right. He is.

There are those in the Christian Church who even claim to be "evangelical" who work to change the minds of Christians and pastors regarding same-sex "marriage", religious liberty, big government and even the sanctity of life.

While professing to be followers of Christ, they twist and distort Scripture, including the gospels, to affirm a lifestyle, a belief or behavior.

The Christian Left advances its political agenda by undermining the authority of the Bible. By undermining the Bible's authority, they have blurred the lines of God's Truth, and proceed to create their own truth. The list is long: same-sex marriage, abortion, anti-Israel sentiments, feminism, pacifism and a government that takes care of everything and everybody all the time.

The government of the religious Left actually replaces God and His Church in aiding and abetting the government to meet the social needs of the poor and the oppressed, as opposed to the Church meeting those needs.

The result is a nation of dependence upon government welfare. The last stop before the final destination of national destruction is "socialism."

Over 20 presidential candidates are crisscrossing this nation advocating some form of socialism.

God has not called the government to ministry. He has called His Church to ministry.

When evangelical pastors disengage from the public square, for whatever reason, and fail to be the watchman on the wall under the guise of "not believing the church should talk about politics," we have lost our voice in the culture---our voice for Truth. Then we risk losing our religious freedoms, and ultimately our freedom altogether.

May I introduce you to the organized Christian Left?

Their website greets you with this:

Welcome! Are you a Christian and a Liberal? We've been searching for you for 10 years! If you're like many others like us you've probably felt alone out there. You've probably been told "You can't be a Christian and a Liberal!"You've probably been ostracized by churches, and conservative "Christian"friends and family. You've probably doubted your own viewpoint at times.
You're in the right place! Conservative "Christians" have turned their back on one of the central tenets of the Bible. The tenet that Jesus said was "The sum of the Law and all the prophets," to Love God and Love your neighbor as you do yourself! And who is our neighbor? Jesus taught us it was a stranger … A stranger, of a foreign belief system, who stopped to help another stranger beat up and left for dead on the roadside while religious types passed him by! The Bible is full of instruction that this teaching isn't “just for individuals.” It's a universal teaching. It applies to individuals, governments, and businesses.
Welcome home. You have found your tribe. Conservative "Christians" are wrong, and you've been right about Jesus all along!
We also welcome anyone who wants to be here. We have many, many friends who support our message of taking care of our brothers and sisters in this world. All of them!

The site continues to affirm a list of behaviors in spiritual terms that God does not affirm.

The Point.

Too many evangelical churches have been silent too long about social issues in our culture. We have said we do not want to offend or drive away those who we seek to reach.

We have not informed the Christian family.

Have we considered that our silence is sin, and God can't even look on sin?

At least 7 million self-identified evangelicals voted for Obama, and about 6 million for Hillary. In doing so they were putting spiritual approval on far left policies regarding marriage and the sanctity of life.

How do you square that with biblical teaching?

Homer would say, "The religious Left is sitting in the place of assembly of the biblical Christians, hidden in the horse; for the Christians had themselves dragged them into the church."
