ISIS Leader's Death Exposes American Journalism

President Trump announced yesterday that ISIS founder and leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, died as a result of a raid conducted by US special forces.

By all accounts, this will greatly reduce ISIS's ability to kill those with whom they disagree.

America gave a sigh of relief...didn't we?

Most Americans, regardless of political affiliation, welcomed the news, but the champions of the secular Left couldn't even bring themselves to take a deep breath of appreciation for our military.

Be informed.

Big announcement on the fight against terrorism.

President Trump announced yesterday morning,
"Last night, the United States brought the world's number one terrorist leader to justice. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead. He was the founder and leader of ISIS, the most ruthless and violent terror organization anywhere in the world."

The President explained al-Baghdadi detonated a suicide vest as he was trapped in a tunnel with his 3 children as American forces approached.

Trump said, "He died after running into a dead-end tunnel, whimpering and crying and screaming all the way."

The tunnel was blown up. American forces recovered body parts and have positively identified that it is al-Baghdadi.

The President praised American forces---Special Forces Delta Force and American intelligence in Syria's Northwestern province--- who did the work, saying it was executed perfectly, noting that intelligence and special forces were "absolutely perfect" in carrying out the mission.

He also thanked Russia, Turkey, Syria, and Iraq for their cooperation and the Syrian Kurds for their support.

Trump said of al-Baghdadi: "He's in a safe place now"---adding, "These monsters will not escape their fate, and they will not escape the final judgment of God."

The President received appreciation from a number of world leaders for making this a priority in his administration.

But not from the progressive Left in America.

The Left is mad.

Pelosi.

Upon hearing about the raid, Speaker Pelosi immediately put out a statement praising the military, but condemning the President for telling "Russia, but not the Democrat leaders in Congress."

Trump explained why he didn't notify the Democrat leaders,
"We were going to notify them last night but we decided not to do that because Washington leaks like I've never seen before. There is no country in the world that leaks like we do and Washington is a leaking machine."

He said he and his top administration members were afraid of an immediate leak to the press and word would travel, putting the troops who were carrying out the mission, at additional and unnecessary risk.

Bernie.

Bernie Sanders acknowledged the "Kurds and other US allies" following the announcement about al-Baghdadi, but did not mention Trump, or even that of our US Special forces.

Hollywood.

Hollywood so-called celebrities blew up social media yesterday after the President announced the death of al-Baghdadi.

Director and actor Rob Reiner mocked the President as trying to outdo Barack Obama: "My terrorist was bigger than your terrorist."

Bette Midler said Trump's "smile looked like a girl--- every girl's face in every prom photo with a bad date."

Actor George Takei said, "The president speaks like I did coming out of surgery. It's clear we got Baghdadi despite this C-I-C, not because of him."

There's more, most of which I would not print here or say on the radio.

But the press took the cake.

The Washington Post, rather than report that the world's leading terrorist had been killed by US forces and the world was a safer place because of it, they chose to publish an obituary on the "man" Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The obit went like this:

When Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi took the reins of the Islamic State of Iraq in 2010, few had heard of the organization or its new leader, an austere religious scholar with wire-frame glasses and no known aptitude for fighting and killing.
But just four years later, Mr. Baghdadi had helped transform his failing movement into one of the most notorious and successful terrorist groups of modern times. Under his guidance it would burst into the public consciousness as the Islamic State, an organization that would seize control of entire cities in Iraq and Syria and become a byword for shocking brutality.
The man at the helm of the Islamic State was a shadowy presence, appearing in public only a handful of times and rarely allowing his own voice to be heard, even as the caliphate was beaten back and finally destroyed. During his tenure, the Islamic State would come to mirror its leader: a messianic figure drawn to the harshest interpretations of Islamic texts and seized with the conviction that all dissenters should be put to death.
And yet, despite the group’s extremist views and vicious tactics, Mr. Baghdadi maintained a canny pragmatism as leader, melding a fractious mix of radical jihadists and former Iraqi Baathists and army officers into an effective military force. It was this combination of extremist ideology and practical military experience that enabled the group to seize and hold territory that would form the basis of a declared Islamic caliphate.

The obituary goes on to detail al-Baghdadi's "academic life" before he became the leader of the terrorist organization, making him out to be a peaceful Muslim who studied Islamic law. As if that's supposed to suddenly make kidnapping, raping and beheading innocent people okay. It's really quite sickening how much of a positive spin this so-called "news organization" is putting on the leader of the world's most infamous terrorist organization.

The Washington Post got a lot of backlash from ordinary Americans who are grateful to our military for ridding the world of its leading terrorist. And thanks to President Trump who made getting the terrorist a top priority.

WAPO, because of the push back, was forced to change their headline several different times, trying to appease the public.

Bloomberg has a learning disability.

You would think that Bloomberg, the billionaire, would have learned from the backlash Washington Post experienced, but he and his news organization clearly didn't learn. Or didn't care.

Later in the day, Bloomberg and his business channel and publication published a story, not unlike that of the WAPO. He painted al-Baghdadi as a decent man trying to get along in the world---A man who was deeply religious and studied Islam.

As the Post had done, Bloomberg made him out to be a "teacher" no one knew about. Not a terrorist who orchestrated the kidnapping, raping and killing of young women and even the beheading of journalists.

It's like the press completely missed the years of beheadings, rapes, and torture that the Islamic State carried out.

Takeaway.

The press generally uses 3 kinds of lies to deceive the public, or cause them to support a certain agenda.

All three types of lies are found in the oath: "I swear to tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God."

  • "I swear to tell the truth." Lies of commission.

If someone tells you something that is not a fact, then that's a lie of commission. They are simply not telling the truth.

  • The whole truth." Lies of omission."

This kind of lie leaves out an important part of information, thus omitting an important fact or detail from the story, which misleads the reader of listener.

  • "And nothing but the truth." Lies that distract.

Sometimes people, particularly the press, tell or report things that are completely unrelated to the truth to cover for a lie. This lie is often called a "character lie" or a lie of "influence." These lies are meant to make you believe the liar or to make the liar seem like such a great person that they would never try to mislead, or lie to you.
The press is misleading the public most of the time.

Jesus was very clear about how He felt about lying:

John 8:44
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.
