Dems: "Abortion Rights Are Human Rights"

During Wednesday night's Democrat presidential debate, MSNBC's Rachel Maddow asked if the candidates would intervene--as president-- if "abortion access disappears in some states?"

Elizabeth Warren spoke for the Party. Her response spoke to my pastor's heart.

Given their position on the sanctity of life, how could 6 million self-identified evangelicals have voted for Hillary Clinton, and 7 million for Barack Obama?

Be informed.

When Rachel Maddow asked if any of the candidates---as president, would intervene in state government should they continue to pass restrictive abortion laws, Warren spoke for the Party.

I don't speak for a Party or the evangelical movement, although I once served on the 50 million-member National Association of Evangelicals board. I speak for myself as a concerned Christian brother.

The religious Left has adopted the secular progressive Left's view on the value of life.

Elizabeth said, "Abortion rights are human rights."

She continued with this:

Protecting the right of a woman to be able to make decisions about her own body is fundamentally what we do and what we stand for as a Democratic Party.

Abortion rights are "economic rights" too.

Understand this. When someone makes abortion illegal in America, rich women will still get abortions. It's just going to fall hard on poor women. It's going to fall hard on girls, women who don't even know that they're pregnant because they have been molested by an uncle. I want to be an America where everybody has a chance.

And I know it can be a hard decision for people. But here's the thing. When it comes down to that decision, a woman should be able to call on her mother, she should be able to call on her partner, she should be able to call on her priest or her rabbi. But the one entity that should not be in the middle of that decision is the government.

Maddow pressed Warren a bit, asking if she believes "there is room in the Democratic Party for prolifers such as Democratic Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards?"

While Warren did not directly say "no," she reiterated where she believes the Democratic Party needs to be on abortion---and where she would be as president.

To my evangelical friends on the Left.

How are you justifying this position with your support of it? Voting is a sacred gift from God, preserved by our Constitution.

Are there no spiritual and cultural consequences of advancing this disdain and disregard for life, made under the guise of "human rights" that do not exist in the Constitution?

Rev. Jim Wallis is the undeniable leader of the so-called Christian Left or the "progressive Christian movement," sometimes referred to as the "Social Justice Movement."

He recently published this:

Warren is well known for her acrid take on Wall Street money power, on the Trump presidency, and on all the forces in American life that, in her view, deny equal opportunity to all. Much less well known is Warren's relationship with God.

A year or two after her election to the Senate, the Rev. Jim Wallis, president and chief executive of Sojourners, a liberal magazine and Christian social justice movement based in Washington, invited her to address a leadership summit his group hosts every three years. Matthew 25 was the text about which she chose to speak.

"And she really preached," said Wallis, for whom the passage is also personally meaningful. "I've heard a lot of sermons on Matthew 25. I've preached a lot of sermons on it, and it was good. She knew the text, knew the context, knew what it meant, she interpreted it very well," making it relevant to the current moment but not political, he said.

"It was very much a Christian talking to other Christians," said Wallis.

Is this what Christians are telling other Christians? And if so, why?

That certainly isn't what God is telling Christians.

How does Elizabeth, Rev. Wallis and other religious Left "Christians" explain Jeremiah 1:5 :

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated; I appointed you a prophet to the nations."

Is Jeremiah the only one God has known in the womb before He formed him? Are the 60 million unwanted babies that are aborted by the legalized progressive sanctioned abortion industry and supported by Warren and Wallis not known to God?

Was David the only one who was "fearfully and wonderfully made?"

Psalm 139:13-16
For You formed my inward parts;
You [a]covered me in my mother’s womb.

I will praise You, for [b]I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.

My [c]frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,

Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.

The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

To accept the Elizabeth Warren, Jim Wallis and the Democrat Party's view of life. a Christian must either know the Truth, but ignore God completely---or replace Him with a god fashioned in the image of secular beliefs.

Or give the Jim Wallis excuse that "we should be working to reduce the number, of abortions."

If that's the goal, how many abortions are morally acceptable to God?

I don't know what process of thinking leads a Christian to elect them to the presidency of the United States, or our congressional body for that matter.

To my "progressive Christian friends": Would you at least pray about this with a clear mind and an open heart?
