The Myth of Equality

David Mosley, an elementary school teacher, is praising a 14-year-old girl for physically attacking a man in front of his family for wearing a Trump costume. Teacher Mosley says, "She should have shot him."

A teacher in Utah was fired when, according to the local ABC News, told a classroom of 5th graders that "homosexuality is wrong."

While all men are created equal in God's eyes, the outcomes of life are not equal, and the Left is trying to leverage that disparity to advance their agenda.

Be informed.

I'm fully aware that Ken Wytsma has written a book titled, "The Myth of Equality," which has become a handbook of sorts for the religious Left. I don't recommend the book, nor is this an attempt to repudiate the book.

I want to be clear. I do not agree with most of what is in the book.

His book is dripping with "discovering" the "tragic history of colonialism and colonization" and how racism is "deeply rooted in US history and Americanism."

The publisher asks potential readers not to "dismiss the book as an example of a liberal wallowing in white guilt" ---- but that's what it is.

I profoundly disagree with the agenda of the religious Left because it makes "compassion" the centerpiece of Christianity and government the "called one," when Jesus Christ---His death and Resurrection, is the centerpiece and we, as individuals, are the "called ones."

However. The "equality" the Left advocates for is, indeed, a myth. And a hypocritical one at that.

Searching for equality.

For the past number of years, the Left has been demanding tolerance from those of us who disagree with their values of abortion as women's health care, homosexual relationships, now including "marriage," and open borders among other non-biblical beliefs.

Religious Left evangelist and presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg has taken the mantle from Rev. Jim Wallis in preaching "another gospel," which includes his own so-called same-sex "marriage" as a relationship that has "brought him closer to God."

Pete also preaches that compassion is the centerpiece of Christianity.

The Left equates equality to "outcome," while conservatives equate equality to "opportunity."

Equality of outcome means everyone gets the same thing. It plays on the emotions and needs of people. Karl Marx advocated for equal outcome teaching. He believed that if everyone had free and equal access to consumption, they would not feel alienation and would be "equal." This is the root of socialism.

Socialism and outcome equality is based on humanism.

Conservatism and free-market capitalism is based on Judeo-Christian values.

Remember this when you see Bernie Sanders, an admitted atheist, preaching this non-gospel from the pulpits of black churches, as he did last Sunday.

Outcome-based equality has given birth to affirmative action, which ultimately became discriminatory, and a host of other failed humanistic programs that were supposed to create "equality," but did not.

In more recent times, the homosexual movement has picked up the banner against "tolerance" and "bigotry" to help advance their agenda.

At first, if you didn't agree with their agenda you were shunned and called out. Then laws were passed to punish those who not only failed to agree, but failed to affirm their agenda.

The ripple effect is now being seen across our culture.

Outcome-based equality has produced discrimination.

Here are 2 very recent examples:

1. ABC News reported, "A substitute teacher from Utah was fired after she allegedly told a classroom full of fifth-graders that 'homosexuality is wrong' during a Thanksgiving exercise about gratitude."

The students said she went into an "anti-gay rant" when a boy told the class he was grateful for his "two dads."

Louise van Amstel, one of the boy's dads, went on his own rant on Twitter:

"When our son Daniel answered the substitute teacher's question, 'What are you thankful for?' with, 'I'm thankful for finally being adopted by my two dads', the teacher went on to sharing her own views on homosexuality and that it's wrong."

The school district has declined to talk about the incident, except to assure the two-dads that they have taken appropriate action.

She was fired on the spot and escorted out of the school. The school has also confirmed that she will never ever teach in that school again.

Amstel took to social media to post his reaction, stating, “You can imagine that set us off. We are not letting this go.”

Amstel says,
"You can imagine why that set us off and we are not letting this go." And he said, "I'm so proud of Daniel's school. Not only did they let go of the teacher, but they said this woman is never going to teach in this school ever again."

The fact that Amstel is a professional choreographer who has appeared on ABC's Dancing with the Stars TV show, may or may not have had an effect on the immediate response.

I am not suggesting that teachers should do what this teacher did. They should not. I am, however, making the point that when something like this happens to the Left, there is swift and certain punishment.

2. David Mosley, an elementary teacher in Clarksville, Tennessee, took to Facebook to publicly praise a 14-year-old girl who physically attacked a man, in front of his family, for wearing a Trump costume.

He posted,
"She should have shot him, calling on the girl to kill Trump supporters in public places with their families."

When someone posted, telling Mosley that what he said was wrong, he responded, "Did I ask this jackass for his opinion," failing to include the question mark.

He then began to accuse people of "stalking" him because they were looking at his public profile.

He has since taken down his posts.

The school district fired the teacher and escorted him out of the school, right?

The school district barely scolded Mosley for a public death threat and producing a statement that encourages children to engage in targeted killing of political opponents---in this case, the President of the United States.

The Clarksville school district said his comments could be deemed "unprofessional."

The school has now said, after public push back, they are reviewing Mosley's employment.

This is not isolated.

Remember when a Minnesota teacher was placed on paid, yes, paid leave for tweeting a death threat at Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh? The teacher posted,
"So whose [sic] gonna take one for the team and kill Kavanaugh?"

A Texas teacher was suspended for a short time after making children watch as she engaged in a mock assassination of Trump during his inauguration. The teacher, Payal Modi, shrieked "DIE" as she moaned and jerked about wildly, insanely firing a water gun at the broadcast of Trump's inauguration projected on the wall of her classroom.

The ideologies that punish those who disagree and reward those who affirm them, whether preached from the pulpits or the classroom, are destroying our culture.

The Left has infiltrated the public classrooms, the entertainment industry, and even some churches.

The takeaway

Heritage Foundation scholar Julia Shaw wrote this:

"Our Founders wanted to create an America where all people had equality in their prospect to succeed. They sought to create a political and economic system that allowed people to have a fair shot at success through hard work and through their own merit."
"However, a system based on individual merit necessarily means that there will be inequality in outcomes."
