International attention is turned toward the outbreak of Coronavirus, or "C-Virus" as they're now calling it.
The endless TV images of masked faces and quarantined cities---and the flow of information and misinformation--- has captivated the world---terrorizing the masses.
But equally unsettling is the fact that the Left---the Democrats, are weaponizing the crisis. Some news organizations are suggesting, "Coronavirus may open a political door of opportunity to defeat Trump."
Disgusting.
Sick.
Be informed.
Fox's Laura Ingraham called out Democrats this week for using the coronavirus outbreak as a political tool to attack President Trump.
She said:
"If you're worried about the spread of the coronavirus, well, you're obviously not alone. It's unsettling to see doctors and what looked like, you know, hazmat suits in China. People quarantine hanging out of hotel windows in Italy. And, of course, your fellow airline passengers wearing face masks,Yet more unsettling is something happening right here in the United States. And it's not medical. It's political. Democrats and their media cronies have decided to weaponize fear and also weaponized suffering to improve their chances against Trump in November."
Never let a crisis go to waste.
Ingraham said, "The facts don't matter to the Trump haters," continuing that they live by the Rahm Emanuel principle, "Never let a crisis go to waste."
Rahm Emanuel was President Obama's White House Chief of Staff. He often used the phrase. The phrase is actually from Saul Alinsky who wrote: "Rules for Radicals"--the handbook for community organizing and political manipulating.
Alinsky's teaching was the default position of the Obama Administration. Barack Obama actually taught the course at one time.
This is Alinsky's template. If you understand it, it's much easier to interpret the actions of the Left.
- Use a tragedy as a crisis, or create a crisis where none exists.
- Paint the crisis with as much emotion as possible, and throw logical analysis out the window.
- Propose the one and only solution to the problem, which just happens to coincide with what you’ve wanted to implement for many years.
- Paint anyone who opposes your one and only solution as evil, uncaring, not smart enough to understand the nuanced brilliance of your solution, or in the pockets of …. you pick the evil entity.
- Force the solution on the people by any means, whether legislatively, by executive order, or through the legal system.
- When the unintended consequences of your solution rear their ugly head, use them as a reason for more brilliant solutions to the made-up crisis.
The media is on the march.
CNN, MSNBC, and a number of other far-Left news organizations have been talking about the possible consequences of the coronavirus crises on the presidential election. With glee, they count the ways this crisis could wreck the world economy---impacting our own economy here in the US in the process, undermining President Trump's reelection.
New York Magazine published an article titled, "Five Ways a Coronavirus Pandemic Could Change the Election."
They suggest some of the ways it could negatively impact Trump's reelection.
- "The pandemic could sicken the economy, thereby sending the Trump presidency to an early grave."
- The pandemic could throw a spotlight on Trump's administration's criminal negligence.
Deeply embedded, near the end of the long, long article there were a couple of suggestions that this crisis could turn out not to hurt the president.
"The Economist," a far-Left publication, published an article that outlines the potential economic fallout from the coronavirus-- all very negative.
It's stunning to me that these organizations and individuals, who have profited so much from the freedoms and opportunities of our country, are not only willing to see our nation and economy fail but almost hopeful if that's what it takes to bring down President Trump.
The elected Democrats, the media and the far-Left activists are aligned to take full advantage of these crises. To think otherwise is to be uninformed.
When the White House asked for $2.5 billion to begin the initial response to the virus. Nancy Pelosi released a statement that said, in part,
"The request is long overdue and completely inadequate to the scale of this emergency." She is even suggesting, yesterday, that the House may move forward with its own plan---an attempt to cut the President out of leadership on the issue.
She and Schummer say he needs $8.5 billion, suggesting he doesn't know what he's doing.
When the President announced that Vice President Pence would lead the task force to address the coronavirus epidemic, several from the Left, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, immediately began an attack on him claiming he doesn't even believe in science---a direct reference to his biblical beliefs---and is not capable of leading.
Laura Ingraham has taken a lot of heat for calling this out, because she's right.
She said, "The Democrats are pushing their narrative in order to negatively impact Trump's economy."
And she said the sentiments are so sick with an anti-Trump fever that they actually consider this virus a "godsend."
The takeaway.
This coronavirus matter is serious. Very serious. Globally, I personally believe it will get worse, much worse before it gets better.
I personally believe the administration is on it and will stay on it from a readiness perspective. No leader can be fully prepared for something like this, but I have confidence in our leadership.
I am certain Vice President Pence will spend much time in prayer as he leads the nation's response. He is a man of faith, who looks to God for guidance and help.
We must not forget that God is in control. His Word is filled with accounts where His ways were shown to be much higher and different than conventional human ways.
There is no question, as this virus spreads across the globe, every person in every country will in some way be impacted. There will be some form of social, even military reset.
Globalism will take a hit, and its flaws will be revealed. People will turn more toward nationalism, which is more in line with God's original model of nations and borders.
Every biblical Christian should be in prayer for our nation. I believe God is mindful and answers prayers.
And I believe that nothing happens without reason. There is a purpose for everything.
Remember:
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Be Prayerful.
