China Now Spreading Deception...And Virus

"The world must look to China, pay attention and follow its principles in order to halt the global spread of the coronavirus"---according to the official Communist China Daily newspaper and website.

In conjunction with this demand, China has hacked into websites in America and Europe and are deliberately spreading panic with misinformation.

Be informed.

Despite the fact coronavirus was first discovered last year in Wuhan, China, where officials tried for 6 weeks to conceal the deadly outbreak, China is increasingly trying to recast itself as a global leader on the treatment of the pandemic.

The Communist China Daily news organization claims the pandemic "is under control in China...and Singapore, Japan and the Republic of Korea because they have been following the principles of early detection" based on China's leadership.

The Communist paper goes on to explain that many, particularly the United States, are not taking the virus seriously and must follow China's leadership to save their people. Otherwise, dire consequences will follow.

They further claim they are issuing guidance and instruction to other countries, with the full support of the United Nations and World Health Organization functionaries.

In conjunction with this push to lead the world in our time of medical crisis, China's Communist government has launched a massive disinformation effort on the internet, for the expressed purpose of creating panic---especially in the US and Europe.

In addition to claiming world leadership in abating the pandemic, China is claiming the US military actually brought the coronavirus to China.

Sunday, the Communist Global Times pushed the latest China mutation of Chinese propaganda by flipping facts and theories around to claim the US Army facility in Fort Detrick, Maryland has been shut down because that facility is responsible for spreading the virus to China.

Suspicions have long swirled around the infectious disease laboratory located in Wuhan, which some believe may have accidentally or purposefully released the virus that is tailored as a bio-weapon.

On Monday, The Global Times did it again. They flipped the story.

What happened in Wuhan, according to the Chinese government, actually happened in Fort Detrick, Maryland---and the virus was carried to China by the US military who visited China in October for the Military World Games, rather than the virus being carried to the US and the world from Wuhan.

And has become a pandemic because the Chinese government suppressed the truth from being told by Chinese doctors---some of whom died from the virus--- when they first discovered the virus in the Wuhan facility.

Do our officials know about this, or is it just a conspiracy theory?

Senator Marco Rubio tweeted, "There are no words to describe the absurdity of the accusation, but for those who monitor China's regime, it comes as no surprise."

Chinese diplomat Yang Jiechi told US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Monday attempts by US politicians to denigrate China's efforts to curb the Wuhan virus would not succeed and could lead to retaliation.

Pompeo responded with "strong objections" describing the Chinese government's efforts, as "efforts to shift blame for COVD-19 to the United States."

The Pentagon has reprimanded the Chinese government for spreading "false and absurd conspiracy theories about the origin of COVD-19 blaming US service members."

Fox News, Breitbart News and the Associated Press are all reporting the "Trump administration officials say a foreign disinformation campaign is trying to spread fear amid the coronavirus pandemic, with false rumors of a nationwide quarantine and more."

There is no nationwide quarantine. Trump, Pence and legions of other government officials say "There is no national quarantine."

A senior administration official told Fox News on Monday that it is imperative to ensure the information about the novel coronavirus is coming from verified outlets.

The official said, "There is an ongoing effort to spread disinformation and cause undue panic. It's important we remain vigilant in ensuring our information is coming from verified sources."

The Associated Press reports that "federal officials are describing the disinformation as part of a deliberate effort by a foreign entity to sow fears inside the US."

Meanwhile, the Department of Health and Human Services was hit with a cyberattack on Saturday.

Bloomberg first reported that the attack did not have any meaningful impact but was part of broader "disruption and disinformation" efforts. However, they said, "The hack yesterday involved overloading the HHS servers with millions of hits over several hours."

The Trump administration says it appeared to be directed at slowing down the federal department's coronavirus response operations.

You may have noticed at his Monday press briefing, even President Trump alluded to foreign powers "playing games" with the coronavirus information.

The takeaway.

In recent years the Chinese government has been opening Confucius Institutes on college and university campuses across the nation. They were supposedly for cultural purposes---to help our kids learn more about China. Many of these institutes even provided professors at no cost, to teach classes.

Over time we learned the institutes were nothing more than propaganda, indoctrination and recruitment centers.

I've written about these institutes in this Faith and Freedom Daily column.

I have also written recently about the Chinese government forcing Christian pastors to integrate Confucius teaching into their biblical sermons or be punished. Plaques with his statements are now required to be displayed in Christian churches in China.

Was the coronavirus purposefully or accidentally introduced into the world population? Who, but a few know for sure?

And speaking of Confucius. Perhaps the Communist Chinese government should read some of the plaques with his quotes they require to be displayed in Christian churches.

One of his famous quotes is this:

"Speak the truth, do not yield to anger, if thou art asked for little; by these three steps thou wilt go near the gods."

Clearly, the Communist government is nowhere near "the gods."

It's also clear that Confucius (551-479 BC) apparently read the prophets of the Old Testament.

The Chinese government should also read the Old Testament. Leviticus 19 would be a great place to start, with Moses saying, do not deceive one another.

Be Informed. Be Discerning. Be Vigilant. Be Prayerful.
